Chapter four: Dragon scale
Carolin's P.O.V.
"Ok Norasha. What's so important?" I ask but in a way to restrain myself from having a rude tone of voice. "Look! Look what my group found!" Five endermen rush at us. All of which are holding a large dragon scale. A sky blue glow emits from it but the glow being slight like a dim light.
"It's huge! Did you see the dragon?!" I run to them which causes them all to stop in their tracks. The scale is a meter long and half a meter wide. No wonder creatures so tall and strong need to carry the scale together.
Norasha spoke up. "We saw it but we couldn't risk going further. Just like the scale it was glowing but the glow was so much more strong. Actually the scale was glowing more till we went into the castle. "Bring it outside." I order them and walk out while the endermen teleported under the starless sky.
She's right. The glow is far more strong and brighter than inside the castle. "And this dragon was the biggest one I've ever seen! It's mostly the reason I didn't feel safe approaching it with only six of us." "That makes sense." I tell Norasha but direct my attention back to the endermen. "I need you to place this in a safe place. Put it in our bigger chests."
They just look at eachother but nod with shaky arms, clearly tired from carrying the large scale. At least the heavy lifting will be over soon. "Norasha, there's something I need to tell you to. I'm keeping- I found someone I once knew and they're staying in one of the rooms. I need you and Daphnea to inform other endermen about this."
"It's about time one of those spare rooms were put too use. I don't think you've even kept a guest. But those beds are only enough for an endermen to have their feet sticking out." "It's not an enderman. It's a human- I need to get back to him. Although no guard has any business being in there I have to make sure he's safe."
And before I could listen to anymore of Norasha's words I became even more worried in case my thoughts were true. And the space around me became violet causing my whereabouts to change. I'm back in Will's room and seeing he's not there. "Will?!" I say to myself in worry. "C-Carolin?!" Will crawls out from under the bed. "What were you doing in there?" I ask finding this to be hilarious but my laugh stops as my smile becomes a frown at realizing he was hiding for a reason.
I sit on the bed and tug Will's sleeve to tell him to sit down to which he does. "Will, I know you're scared. You're in an unfamiliar environment but please just know you'll be safe. I've already told someone to tell everyone else you'll be safe here." Will sighs. "I'm trying but who knows what else I'll see. But hopefully it won't be as crazy as dragons." Hearing this made me look away. "Is something wrong?" "No, no, no. But how about this. You can leave this room as long as you're escorted by me." This sentence makes Will's eyes hopeful and a smile returning.
(Tell me of any spelling errors. I apologize if the chapter isn't good. I'm open to positive and negative criticism.)
