(Y/N) wrapped herself in blankets as she lay in her bed, she had chosen Hermine as her roomie, she rolled to the side and looked at the brunet laying in the bed across from her.

"Hey (Y/N)?" she asked, "yeah?" she said back, "Do you have special magic?" she asked rolling to the side as well to face her. "I've never really used magic, I didn't grow up using it but I do know some things" she explained, "Why you ask?" I questioned, "It's just..." she paused.

"The storeys tell that you are supposed to have an incredible power that no wizard or witch could ever imagine" she explained, "but maybe it's not true" she mumbled.

"Don't worry about it, I'm sure we'll find out somehow" (Y/N) smiled. "Good night," she said, "Good night" (Y/N) smiled again, she tugged the string to the light and turned it off, the room went pitch black but as (Y/N) eyes adjusted she could see the stars and the moon casting its light through the window.

~Next Day~

I woke up, the sun was just coming over the horizon as I peered out the window. I got dressed and opened the door quietly. I placed my wand in my pocket as I shut the door, the door clicked and I walked out. I walked down stairs and saw the fireplace.

It cracked and sizzled as I walked past. I opened the door and went out of the common room. I went back downstairs and went outside, the sky was pink as the sun reflected on the lake.

I placed my hands in my pockets as I stared into the lake. I looked to the side and saw a small house down the hill, I smirked and ran down the hill.

Suddenly I tripped and started to tumble down the hill, I let out and laughed and kept going, I didn't care. suddenly I smashed into something, my head knocked back as I opened my eyes.

"Whats a girl like you doin' here?" asked a large bearded man, "Oh! Sorry, I was just on an adventure!" I exclaimed, "To do what?" He asked curiously. I pondered for a moment.

"Let me see" I smiled, I pulled out the slightly burnt paper/map my mum drew for me. I placed my finger on where I was and looked around the area.

Unicorns, fairies, spiders nothing really interesting.

The man looked at the map I was holding and became shocked, "That's (Y/Mothers/N)'s map" he gasped, "Where'd ya get it?" he questioned, "My mum gave it to me" I smiled.

he looked at me more and laughed, "SO your (Y/Mum's/N)'s daughter (Y/N)?!" he cried in laughter, "Nice ta meet ya, the names Hagrid, I knew your mother when she went here" He smiled.

"So you want an adventure?" He asked, I vigorously shook my head 'Yes', he looked at the map and pointed to a forest. "Let me take you there" he smiled. "Whats there?" I asked.

He smirked, "Come and find out," he said as he started to walk away, I ran after him, I had to jog just to keep up with his walking because h was so big.

We came into a darker more shaded area of the forest, it was beautiful, we came to an area where the sun shone onto the dark green grass. "There," hagrid said pointing to a creature, it was a hippogryph, it was standing tall as he stood next to a tree.

his feathers were grey and his hind legs were like horses. He was definitely a hippogryph. "Hey there," I said calmly. "Be careful!" Hagrid cried, I walked towards the creature.

It stepped back nervously, I looked it square in the eyes, it had vibrant yellow eyes. I let out a sigh and blinked slowly, I held my right hand out to the creature.

I let out a whistle, it galloped towards me and circled around me, he bent down and stuck his head under my legs, he raised his head and placed me onto his back.

I looked over to Hagrid who was shocked. I stroked down his neck and he let out a purr. "I showed your mother him when she was your age" he explained.

"She names him Startious" he explained, "she only tamed him after 2 years, he never likes being around people but you..." he paused "I've never seen him so comfortable around a human before" he explained.

I let a smile rest on my face, I hugged his neck and he curled his head around to touch my arm. I giggled as he started to run in circles and almost dance.

After about an hour I got off him and Hagrid took me back to the campus, I got my books and went to my first class. It was Positions, I was kind of tired but I was board as well.

I was standing with Harry, Ron and Hermine in the line when I saw down the end of the line Draco and his friends. He looked up and we made eye contact.

I gave him a smile and waved mouthing the words "Morning" to him, he looked at me and waved back. Soon we entered the classroom, a man in all black and raven black hair stood at the front, I sat 3 rows back and 2 rows to the side.

Hermine sat next to me, I smiled at her and she smiled back. "Good morning class," the man said in a monotoned voice. He talked to us about the different herbs to use and what they do.

I was so board, his voice was boring, I had nothing to do and I was board.I placed my head on my hand and placed my pencil down on the table, I already knew everything he was saying.

"Aconite is a plant with magical properties. Once widespread, this plant is now only found in wild places. Its flowers are useful in potion-making, but its leaves are very toxic." he explained pointing to the picture of the flower on the board.

I looked at me, "Miss (L/N)! Would you like to tell me what the Aconite is used in?" he asked knowing I wasn't paying attention. I raised my face off my hand and stood up, pushing my chair back to.

I took a breath, "Aconite is most commonly known as an ingredient of Wolfsbane Potion. The root of aconite can be used as a potion ingredient." I paused to looked at his face, he was clearly shocked, he opened his mouth but I interrupted.

"this plant is most commonly found in Scotland but it can be found all around the world. Aconitum species are highly toxic, although they were used in medicine as a pain-reliever, diuretic, heart sedative, and to induce sweating. The leaves are the most toxic part of the plant" I explained.

"Did I miss anything" I smirked crossing my arms. he gave me a stern looked before turning to the board again, "10 points to Gyriffindore" he muttered loud enough for us to hear.

After class, I walked out, books in my arms. suddenly all the people from my class crowded me asking me questions like "How did you know that?" or "How were you not scared?!".

I blushed sheepishly and looked down "I just know my facts" I laughed as I looked up. I looked to my friends how understood what I wanted them to do.

"Welp we need to head to our next class," Hermine said slinging her arm around my shoulder, "See you next time" Harry continued as he escorted me away.

~Later~

It was a free period, I walked into the common room, I was Ron and Harry talking on the other side of the room. Harry waved to Ron and walked to the guy's section of the room.

"Hey Ron" I smiled, "Oh! Hey (Y/N)!" he smiled, "How are you?" he asked, "I'm great!" I smiled, suddenly my hands were gently grabbed.

I turned to the side and saw two identical faces. they were both redheads and looked like Ron kind of?

"Ron, you never said you have a female friend" One said, "Who are they?" I asked, "Those are my brothers, "Fred and Goerge" they smiled, they bent down and kissed my hand causing me to blush.

"U-Um" I stuttered pulling my hands away, "Sorry about them, their mischief makers" Ron sighed, "Same here!" I exclaimed. The twins looked at me with an unsure and interested look.

"Prove it" Fred smirked, I grabbed my wand want walked pointed at a boy who was laying on the couch. "Wingardium Leaviosa" I whispered, suddenly a can of whip cream and a feather floated down from the girl's dorm.

I sprayed some on his face and tickled his nose, he went to scratch it and he slapped himself with whipped cream. I looked at the boy who was smiling.

"Do you have anything better, we have a map of the campus which shows us where teachers are, what do you have?" Goerge smirked. I pulled out my pocket the map.

"My mother gave me this." I paused, "It's a map of all the secret passages, monsters and routes through the school. she wrote down all her adventures and answers to the school on this paper" I smirked waving it in their faces.

they smirked and looked at each other "would you like to be apart of out pranking group?" Fred asked I looked at Ron who was shaking his head no.

"Of curse!" I exclaimed causing Ron to face palm. so we established we would meet up and prank whoever we wanted but for now, I was going to bed.

Hermine was already asleep so I wrote a letter to my parents...

Dear Mum and Dad,

I miss you and all my school friends, I hope your fine without me and having your own fun. I made many friends including THE Harry Potter, he's very kind and nice and we are both in Gryffindor together! Please write back soon.

I finished the letter, sealed it with a stamp and gave it to Ruile who flew out the window towards my house. I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes.

~Draco's POV~

I dipped my quill and started to write my letter to father.

Dear father,

I have been working my hardest in all subjects, it has been no struggle and I got into the Slytherin house as expected. I have also become friends with (Y/N) (L/N) who is in Gryffindor, she is kind and nice and I hope for you to meet her some day.

I placed my quill down and handed it to my owl who soon flew away. I looked to the sky and saw it was very late. I lay down on my bed and fell into a slumber.

It had been weeks, everyone sat at their house tables. (Y/N) and I had gotten to know each other more, I felt happy around her for some reason.

A suddenly loud screech was heard from the entrance of the dining room and in swooped our owls. My owl flew down and gave me a letter, it had a red stamp on the front with our family's crest on it.

I ripped it open and looked at the letter in shock.

~Your POV~

I saw Ruile fly through the dinner room entrance, I smiled seeing a letter in his talons. He landed on my shoulder and handed me the letter, he was a great owl, he was kind and rebellious at the time.

I opened the letter, it was from my parents explaining how happy they were and how proud are of me. I smiled as I read each word.

it ended with: We will aways love you! From Your parents

I closed the letter and gave it back to Ruile "Put this in my room" I said. Ruile nodded and flew out of the room along with several other owls.

After breakfast, it was our classes. I grabbed my books and rushed out my dorms, I saw a silver haired boy in front of me and instantly knew who is was.

I ran up to him "Good morning Draco" I smiled, he looked over at me and quickly looked away ashamed. "Are You ok-" I was cut off "Stay away from me," he said, he suddenly speeds walked away as I stood there baffled.

'Why did he just say that?' I questioned in my head. Soon I realised I was going to be late. I sprinted to class and just made it to class. I sat down the net to Hermine as the teacher talked about the spells to use to do... something I don't know! I wasn't paying attention.

I looked to my side and saw Draco who was peering at me, I smiled at him and waved but he frowned and looked away. I lowered my hand and turned to the teacher.

I was so confused on why he was doing this. After class I rushed out the classroom, I saw Draco ahead of me, I was going to confront him but he looked at me and them ran away.

"Hey (Y/N)" Harry smiled as he walked up to me "H-Hey Harry" I weakly smiled. "what's wrong?" He asked, I shook the thought of Draco out of my head and smiled at Harry.

"Oh nothing" I smiled, Draco for the next month avoided me or when he didn't avoid me he teased me and called me Miss Loser, not the most imaginative name he could have thought of but it still hurt badly.

I held all my books in my arms, I had just came from the library and borrowed some books for studying. I walked past Draco and all of his friends from Slytherin.

Draco walked over to me and slammed his hand down my books causing them to fall out my arms, "Morning Miss loser" he smirked as he laughed and walked back to his group of friends.

Why was he doing this, I picked up my books and walked away. I scoffed and turned away. I walked into my room and slammed my books onto the floor.

I lay down on my bed and sighed. "Why is he like this" I mumbled. I looked out my window and saw the forest and Hagrid's house. I've become a very good friend of Hagrid's.

he takes me into the forest and helps me tame all the animals and creatures in said forest. I walked out my dorm and went to his hut, I just wanted to lose all the thoughts of Draco.
