"Sweetie!" called my mum, I sat at my desk writing a fanfiction about... stuff. "Yeah!" I called back, "We have a letter for you!" she sang, my mother told me about the adventures she had at Hogwarts so whenever a letter comes in for me I'm always enthusiastic.

I ran out of my room and slid down the railing of the staircase. I hopped off the side and ran to my mum who had the letter in her hand, she was waving it in the air as she waited for me to come. I grabbed it from her and ripped the top off.

I opened the letter and pulled out the letter.

Dear Miss (L/N),

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment. Term begins on September 1. We await your owl by no later than July 31.

I looked up to my mum and dad who were grinning with joy "I GOT IN!" I exclaimed, My family, cheered as we spun around together, "Honey you now what this means?" Dad questioned.

My mum's eyes lit up with excitement, "We can go to Diagon Alley?" she smiled. "Whats Diagon Alley?" I asked, "It's a street" my dad started "Full of shops" my mum continued "Magic shops!" My dad said again "For witches" mum said "And wizards" dad smiled "To get all the things that need for Hogwarts!" they said together.

"I'll get the power!" dad exclaimed running to the pick "Does this mean I can use magic now?" I asked, though my family told me storeys they never let me use magic when mums angry she would make this levitate with 'Wingardium Leviosa'.

My mum vigorously nodded yes, my dad stumbled back down the stairs with a brown bag, he handed my mum and I some dust "Now watch your father do it" Mum smiled.

My dad took a deep breath as he walked into the fireplace, "Diagon Alley!" he exclaimed as he threw the dust down a green fire appeared and when it disappeared he was gone.

"Wow" I gasped, "Your turn sweety" she smiled pushing me forwards. I hesitantly stepped into the fireplace and held the dust in my right hand "D-Diagon Alley" I stuttered, I threw the dust down and when I opened my eyes I was in a street full of chatter and people.

My dad stood to the side of the fireplace waiting for me to come. "You did it sweetie!" he smiled pulling me out of the fireplace. soon mum came and she hugged me.

"Let's go!" My mum exclaimed grabbing me by the hand and running away with dad to my side. she stopped as we stood in front of a shop with 'Eeylops Owl Emporium' written on the sign above our heads.

We walked in as a bell jingled above us, "Welcome" an old man stayed, he tilted his glasses down in surprise "(Y/Mothers/N)?! (Y/Fathers/N)?! Is that you?!" he cried coming from around the counter and hugging them.

"Yep, it's us" they smiled, "Why are you here? Back in the magic industry, I hope" he questioned, "No, No, Our daughter has come for a new owl, she's in Hogwarts now" My mum smiled, "Your daughter?!" he cried looking at me.

I was short, I had (H/L) (H/C) hair with (E/C) eyes, I had my hair in a plat wich hang over my shoulder. "Let me have a good look at you," he said while going over to the counter. "Come 'er" he smiled while patting the counter top.

I climbed on top of the counter as he looked at me "She has your eyes (Y/Mother/N)!" he exclaimed, my mum smiled, "And your hair (Y/fathers/N)!" he laughed. "Do you like adventure?" he asked me, "Yeah!" I exclaimed, "and mystery?" he smirked, "Mmmhmm" I hummed, "You a smart one? Or a dummy?" he asked, "Smart" I smiled.

"Well she has your attitude (Y/Mum/N)!" he laughed. he helped me off the counter, "So what owl do ya want?" he questioned, "I get an owl?!" I cried looking at my parents "You don't know?" he asked, "No" I responded.

"We didn't raise her like most wizards do" My dad laughed, the man nodded and took me to the shop, "This is Melody," he said handing me a cage with a pure white owl in it, she was small and cute. she let out a purr "She's everyone favourite" he smiled.

I looked at her in her big black eyes, I shook my head no "No thanks" I said. he kept handing me owls that just weren't my style until I looked around the corner and saw a dark grey owl, he was watching me with his large golden eyes. he had a tuff of brown feathers at the top of his head.

"Who is he?" I asked, the man turned around and looked at him shocked, "Oh! Ruile? you don't want him, he's a nasty little thing" he sighed, "No one ever wants him because he's old and mean" he explained.

I stepped closer to him, "be careful" he said, Ruile went closer as I put my finger in the cage "He may bite" he explained. he bowed his head and I patted his tuffs, he let out a light purr as I did so.

"I like him" I smiled, "Are you sure?" My dad said, "Yes" I smiled. and so we purchased him, he looked happy that I bought him. after that, we went to many other shops, clothes, robes, pets other shops until.

"Wands?" I questioned "Yes! The most important thing to have is a wand!" my mum smiled. she took me into a wand shop and started to talk to the lady at the front. she started to hand me different ones and see if I could use them, they all worked but I didn't like them.

I saw one in a box, it was black with small bumps at the bottom "I see you like this one?" she smiled, she took the wand out and handed it to me. I used it and I felt amazing, I smiled as I rubbed my hands up it.

"What is this one?" my mum asked, "It's made of wood from the immortal tree, unicorn hair and a phoenix feather, very rare" she smiled, so we got that wand, I placed it in a bag and left to go home because the next day I will be going to Hogwarts.
