I laid on my big bed and stared at the ceiling for a who knows how long when I decided that I needed to fill my time with SOMETHING! I got off my bed and slid over to my vanity table. I pushed it to the side I bit to reveal a small hole. I grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled, ‘Hey.’ on it then shoved it through the hole. I waited a bit and then the same piece came back but under what I’d written on it, it said, ‘What are you still doing up?’. I smiled. Draco’s room was right next to mine and ever since we were little we’d use this hole to talk to each other during the night.

‘Can’t sleep. What about you?’. I pushed the paper back. ‘Same.’ he sent back. We past the paper back and forth until the whole thing what covered in our scribbles. ‘You should get some sleep now’. When I looked at the clock I saw that it was nearly five in the morning. ‘Okay, you too.’ I started to get up when the paper came back to me. ‘Sleep well.’ I read. I smiled and slipped into my bed.

“Miss Gwen?” I was being shook. When I opened my eyes I saw Dobby ontop of me. I sat up. “Hey Dobby. What’s up?”

“Well, it’s morning, miss. Christmas morning to be precise, and Master wishes to have you downstairs.”

“Right, right. Christmas.” I was slowly waking up but when I said Christmas everything popped. “CHRISTMAS?!” I jumped out of bed, causing Dobby to fall off my bed. “Dobby! Come on!” I scooped up the small elf and rushed down the stairs. Thank everything that I'd slept in a ponytail, or else my hair would be worse than that Granger girl’s. “Sorry I--” I started my apology but was cut off by the sight of everyone sitting in front of the tree, waiting. Waiting... for me.

“Good morning Miss Gwen, so sorry we ate without you, but we thought you’d need you rest.” Lady Malfoy said, as I gently put Dobby down. “Come, it’s time to open gifts and then we’ll get you some breakfast.” Lady Malfoy gestured to the tree. I flopped next to Draco on the floor.

“Alright.” With a wave of her and Lord Malfoy’s wand, the presents started to float and sorted themselves out in front of us. All mine were wrapped in black wrapping paper with the pattern of glittering stars on them, and all of Draco’s were wrapped in black paper with the pattern of green dragons on them.

“Lucius, would you like to start?” Lady Malfoy asked. Lord Malfoy’s gift was long and wrapped in a lush forest green paper. He ripped it open to find a box, and in that box was a cane. Lord Malfoy smiled. “Thank you my dear.” He kissed Lady Malfoy causing me to giggle and Draco to gag.

“You next my dear.” Lord Malfoy said. Lady Malfoy gently picked up her gift that was wrapped in silver moons and then gently took off the paper. It revealed a two foot by one foot box. Inside that box was a new dress that was green and decorated with silver stones. Lady Malfoy gasped and planted a big kiss on Lord Malfoy’s cheek. Again I giggled and again, Draco gaged.

Then Draco and I were finally allowed to open our gifts. Most of mine where dresses and stuffed toys and most of Draco’s were toy cars, planes, boats, and zeppelins that all moved without having a remote control. Then suddenly, when I thought everything was done Lord Malfoy said, “Now, what’s that? Behind the tree.” He got up and grabbed something from behind the tree.

I gasped at what I saw. There were two small bags behind the tree. Both matched our wrapping paper.

“Take them and open them quickly.” We grabbed them and mine was filled with chocolate frogs and cauldron cakes, while Dracos was filled with chocolate frogs and that candy that has every flavor. “Wow.” I said. I absolutely adored chocolate frogs. I have a whole collection of the cards back home. “Do you like it?” I nodded vigorously at the Malfoy’s. “I love, all of my gifts. Thank you, I always love coming over for Christmas.”

“And we’re always happy to have you over.” I looked at the Malfoy’s smiling faces and I felt at home with them. They always welcomed me with open arms whenever I came over and it always made me happy to be here.

Suddenly a flewsh came from the fireplace and two forms came out of the green flames. I giggled. It was Marian. “Sorry for the intrusion Lord and Lady Malfoy, but I am here to take Miss Gwen and Mister Draco to Marchbanks Manor.”

“Of course.” Lord Malfoy said. “Remember, to not eat all your candies Miss Gwendolyn. Otherwise you’ll get sick.” Lady Malfoy said. I giggled. “I know.”

Draco and I stood. “I’ll get your gifts deary.” With a wave of her wand Marian made all my gifts disappeared probably to my room. “Now, Gwen take the powder, hold my hands and say--”

“I know Marian. I’ve done this before.” I give a laugh as I say, “Marchbanks Manor!”
