Astoria's P.O.V

The screams echoed throughout the hallway and sent shivers down both of our spines. Draco managed to sit up and say, "What in the bloody hell was that" I just gave him a look and said, "I don't know genius let's go cheek it out, if you can manage to move that is" He simply rolled his eyes and stood up and dashed out of the infirmary. I followed in step and soon our eyes fell on the source of the horror, Mrs. Norris Argus Filches cat. The horrifying fact was it was petrified and there was a bloody message about the chamber of secrets on the wall. It was the scariest thing I have ever seen, Draco looked to be in shock as well and turned me away from the scene.

My face was buried in his shoulder as he said, "It's alright you don't have to look" It was odd how safe I felt in his arms even though I was taller than he was. I was pulled out of my soft world as Mcgonagall's loud voice rang out through the hall and said, "Heads take the students back to their dorms, the chamber of secrets has been opened." Snape gathered us all together and led us back to the dungeons as a creeping feeling of impending doom grew in my soul.

We arrived at the common room and my eyes fell on Blaise who was eating a chocolate frog on the couch. He looked to be blissfully oblivious of the situation at hand and said, "Hey my brother and sister in green what's happening?" Draco crossed his arms and said, "Thanks for all the support in the medical wing by the your absences was much appreciated while I was laying there in pain" Blaise sat up straight and said, "Hey Im sorry about that but you know how Snape is, I was held here all day didn't even get to see the game. Did we win?" Draco rolled his eyes and said,"Unfortunately we lost to that fool Pott---"

My firm tone broke up the quidditch discussion and I said, "Thats all well and good but we have bigger issues to worry about, Ms. Noris was petrified" Blaise spit out his bite of chocolate frog and said, "Petrified, you mean like frozen and unable to move?" My tone was sarcastic as I said, "That is the meaning of the word petrified I see your mind is working overtime this afternoon. Whatever petrified Ms.Noris is not friendly and we need a game plan."

Draco ran his hand through his hair and said, "The best thing I can think of to do is just stick together and never be alone are we clear with each other?" Blaise laughed and said, "You make it sound like we are a team or something. If you start comparing us to the golden trio I'm going to puke." I simply laughed and said, "How about the silver trio it is one of our house colors after all" Blaise eyed me curiously and said, "Crabb and Goyle aren't going to be apart of our dysfunctional little group?"

Draco crossed his arms and shook his head and said, "This group is about loyalty and Crabb and Goyle are loyal to no one the only reason they follow me around is because our parents have a pre arranged contract, they could care less about me" Blaise then nodded his head and said,"So do we fist bump now or later." We rolled our eyes and went to work on our charms essays but there was still a sinking feeling in my stomach and I thought I heard a hiss must be my imagination.
