after we finished in dervish and banges we went to pick up my tea from madam puddifoot's. I decided on an original green tea and an amazing smelling mango orange tea. I was excited for the new flavors of the new year.
"you're really cute when you get excited. did you know that?" draco asked from behind me as I picked up the two bags of leaves.
"no actually. no one tells me anything really. because I have no one to tell me," I said blatantly as I walked over to pay for my tea.
"oh. well, would you like me to get that for you?" he asked.
"oh. uh. no I think I've got it."
"okay. then let me get you something at honeydukes."
"no. I don't think I need anything from honeydukes. I really don't."
"well, okay then."
I stepped over to madam puddifoot and paid for my tea.
we went over to honeydukes and walked in to the sweet smelling shop to get whatever we wanted.
"when I was little my dad would bring home candy all the time for my brother and me. it was like he brought home one of everything. my brother always loved the bertie botts every flavour beans. personally I liked the sugar quills, or the chocolate frogs during a certain time of the month. but, nothing beats a treacle fudge with a ton-tongue toffee on top. so good," I smiled.
"first of all I didn't know you had a brother, second, I'm going to agree with him. bertie botts are the best," draco smiled back softly.
"those were good times. I'm not going to lie. but I like this time too. much better than my first four years."
"I'm glad I'm able to make it better for you."
"thank you," I said.
we looked around for a while and I excused myself from the shop to write a quick letter back home and send the beans with it.
dear mom and jasper,
I hope schooling is going well for you little guy, I know how you always say it isn't so I hope this little gift will cheer you up! this year has been good so far even though it's only the first week. I was called to professor snape's office after the sorting ceremony, and I've been appointed head girl of the slytherin house! all of my classes are great and I'm doing well so far. indigo seems to like the new room we have. we don't have to share anymore. I'm currently down at hogsmeade with draco malfoy. he's very nice and is serving alongside of me as head boy. I can't wait for jasper to get his letter this summer! he's going to love it here.

I tried a piece of green ribbon around the letter and box and handed it to an owl to send back to america for my mother to receive it. I hope she writes back. I quickly left so that I could get back to draco. when I got back to honeydukes he was sitting outside on a bench with the box from a chocolate frog in his hand.
"was it good?" I asked. he nodded with his mouth full. "want to head back to hogwarts?"
"sounds good to me. did you get your letter and gift sent?"
"I sure did. hopefully she'll send one back. would you like to join indigo and me for a cup of tea when we get back?"
"that sounds lovely. thank you," draco smiled at me again. and that damn smile he has. it makes me melt every time. I don't think he realizes that he does it to me, but he makes my heart flutter. he very quickly has me falling for him. the walk back was really uneventful. draco jokes around with me and we laughed for nearly the whole walk back to the castle. we went straight to the common room and then into my room, we managed to slip past the others without any question.
"I'm surprised crabbe and goyle haven't been pestering you," I said.
"oh, they have. I just told them I would be busy today. and probably most weekends. if you'd like to spend time together most weekend," he smiled at me. again with that damn smile.
"I would absolutely love to. today was really fun. okay so, what kind of tea? I have green tea, mango orange, passion fruit hibiscus, and I think just an earl grey somewhere," I said searching for it.
"whatever you fix sounds great to me," I heard him say from behind me.
I turned around and saw that he was still standing on the center of my room, "you do know that you can sit down right?"
"where should I sit? I don't want to take your spot or anything," he responded.
"if you take your shoes off anywhere on the bed is fine with me," and just a moment later I heard the bed move. "these bigger beds are nice aren't they?" I asked.
"oh yes. much more comfortable than the twin beds in the dormitories."
I poured the cups of tea and handed him one. I picked up indigo and set her on the bed next to where I would sit, "taste it and tell me what kind it is."
and so he did, "this is the new one. mango orange. it's really good, and I'm not even a huge fan of tea all that much."
"what?" I said and startled a purring indigo next to me. "tea is one of the greatest things on this plant!"
"okay miss tea guru, yes it's good. I just don't have it very often," he said.
"okay. fine, I'll accept that."
it was quiet for a moment and we enjoyed the warm tea, until draco spoke again. "would you tell me a little bit out yourself?" he asked. "you keep mentioning you dad, and your move, and your brother. I'd like to know about it."
"well. do you have the time?" I asked.
"I have all the time in the world if that's what you need," draco put a comforting hand on my knee.
