Paper cranes and Jasmines

When I was opting for a sequel for Paper Fans and Lavenders, I had two choices. The fluffy drabbles and the serious story. The latter got more votes. But some people also wanted me to write the fluffy piece. For them, here are the few drabbles I did write, which take place directly where Paper Fans and Lavenders left off. Also, hopefully this makes up for the lack of SasuHina fluff/Romance in the actual story. (Yeah that just basically consisted of Sasuke being jealous and them being painfully oblivious of the fact that they were in love). So, here goes.

Neji Hyuga's observation: Uchiha is a good boy friend

"For God's sake Ino, they're already engaged."

Sakura snapped when they were all tired of her teasing Hinata on how she and Sasuke were probably going to end up married. Tenten was already asleep while Temari had plugged in her headphones since half an hour ago, when it started.

"God forehead, what crawled up your ass and died?" Ino asked, slightly startled by Sakura's tone. Hinata sighed before saying something about getting water.

"The fact that I'm getting ready for my first date with Gaara while you will just not shut up!" Sakura exclaimed, tucking her bangs back self consciously.

"You're ready. And besides, I'm just trying to tease Hinata."

"You don't need to do that. Naruto and Sasuke are enough."

"Hai, Hai. Ooh, why don't you put on the earrings you bought the other day with me?" Ino suggested, successfully drawing Sakura's attention away.

On the other hand, Hinata sighed as she plopped down on the couch downstairs with a glass of water. Everything was getting over bearing for her right now. And she was tired from practice and the ton of homework she'd finished that evening.

It was almost 9, and Gaara was supposed to pick up Sakura for their first date at 9. It had taken a lot of effort for Hinata to get Gaara to ask Sakura out.

Mainly because he was shy and awkward and just refused to do it for the fear of rejection. While Sakura was near tears because she thought Gaara did not like her at all from the way he had started to ignore her.

All that reminded Hinata of her own problems with her boyfriend, and fiance she supposed, Sasuke. She chuckled lightly.

"Laughing to yourself is the first sign of madness." Someone said into her ear from behind the couch. She let out a shrill scream before dropping the glass of water and turning around.

Sasuke stood behind her, chuckling at her reaction. "Sasuke! You scared the hell out of me."

Ino and Sakura came running downstairs. "IS IT BURGLURS?" Ino screamed while Sakura was yelling something about a chopping knife.

They both came to an abrupt halt when they realized it was only Sasuke. "The fuck? You scared us." Ino said with a frown.

Sasuke caught sight of Hinata's pissed off expression and willed himself to stop chuckling. "I came to get Hinata."

"Dead or alive?" Sakura asked sarcastically, walking over to her friend with a frown directed at her childhood friend.

"Kami, I didn't mean to scare her." He said, biting his lip to refrain from chuckling again. "Of course you didn't." Ino muttered.

"Let me guess, you decided giving me a heart attack was appropriate for date night?" Hinata asked, picking up the glass she had dropped.

"No." Sasuke said, engulfing her in his arms as an apology "I just wanted to surprise you"

"Uh huh" Ino said with a mischievous smirk. Sasuke nodded and looked at Hinata. She shrugged and went to wear her shoes.

"What's wrong with her?" he asked. She seemed on edge.

"Probably tired." Sakura commented. "Well, see you." she said walking back. Ino gave a small wave and followed the pink headed girl back to her room.

Sasuke checked his keys in his pockets before walking out towards the car. Rai stood there in all his glory.

Hinata was sitting in the passenger seat, her head resting on the dashboard. Sasuke slid into his seat. "Hey." He began tentatively.

"Hi." She said raising her head and leaning forward to kiss him lightly. "Tired?" he asked.

She nodded and rested her head on the dashboard again. He smiled to himself. Damn. She was making him soft.

"Let me take you home then."

"But this is date night." She said. Sasuke shrugged. "It doesn't matter, honestly. You can make it up to me later."

He smirked. Hinata managed a smile at his antics before nodding. He drove her straight home, by the time his girlfriend was sound asleep.

He sighed even though he was slightly pleased that he would get to carry her. He carried her inside, bridal style. Inside, Neji sat munching crisps and watching a movie.

"Uchiha? Weren't you two going on a date today?" Neji said, raising his brows at the sight of Sasuke carrying Hinata inside.

"No. She's too tired actually." He said. Neji nodded and Sasuke carried her to her room. He laid her on the bed carefully. She did not budge as he took off her shoes, covered her with a blanket and kissed her forehead.

He was smiling to himself when he walked downstairs and found Neji staring at him with an amused smirk.

"You're such a softie." Neji smirked.

"Fuck off Hyuga." Sasuke muttered, embarrassed as he walked out. Neji smirked again, turning to the screen. There was the Uchiha he knew.

Naruto Uzumaki: Teme is whipped

Naruto observed from a distance as his best friend stood next to his girlfriend's locker. Hinata was taking out some books from her locker while Sasuke waited for her, leaning against his own locker, next to her. She finally closed her locker door and Sasuke said something, made her roll her eyes before smiling.

Sasuke smirked before he took the books from her arms and they started walking towards their business class together.

Naruto watched with a bewildered expression. He knew Hinata had rubbed off on Sasuke, making him more human. Somehow soothing down his rough edges.

But this was...this was like the world coming to an end.

Just what the hell had changed Sasuke so drastically? Unless...

Naruto grinned to himself as he walked off to class. Passersby moved slightly away from his path as they observed his smirk with a freaked out expression. This school was weird enough; they didn't need Naruto freaking them out too.

Naruto waited for Sasuke by his car after school. He saw him making his way there alongside Hinata who was talking about something, gesturing with her hands. Sasuke rolled his eyes and looked away, earning a light push from Hinata.

"Dobe? What do you want?" Sasuke asked him, hands in his pocket.

"Hey Hinata-chan." Naruto said.

"Hey Naruto. Aren't you going to go home?" she asked clearly puzzled.

"No I just had to talk to Teme." Naruto said. Hinata nodded.

"Well I'll see you two later." She said as she stood on her tiptoes and gave Sasuke a light kiss before walking off. Sasuke watched her leave before turning to his best friend.

"What?"

"You're whipped Dattebayo." Naruto grinned.

"What?!" Sasuke said, this time a little sharper.

"Whipped."

"You're full of shit." Sasuke said as he opened the car door and slid inside, rolling his eyes.

"WHIPPED!" Naruto yelled after him as he smiled to himself widely.

Good for you teme, he thought.
