Just a chapter for a little contest. Decided that maybe I should try this one, hahaha.

I pushed back my brown locks. The sun was just starting to rise in the east, giving a nice shade of pink to the waking sky. As usual, I was already awake from the baby. William still didn't understand the concept of sleeping through the night.

I walked into our small kitchen, ready to make breakfast. My husband was already at work and the twins were still fast asleep surprisingly. They had more energy than I could handle some days. But overall, they were the sweetest kids in the kingdom.

I smoothed my hands down my blue dress. Sure, it had a few stains and some small tears, but it was my favorite. It was comfortable and a gift. "Morning, Kimmy!" A voice boomed as they entered my house.

"George! What are you doing here?" I grinned, walking towards my husband. He smiled and pecked me on the lips, holding my thin waist in his large, calloused hands.

"Can't I just come home and talk to my gorgeous wife?" He questioned. I playfully frowned at him and hit him with my towel. He laughed as I walked towards the sink. I rolled my blue eyes and smiled.

"Seriously, what are you doing home? I thought you had work today." I stated as I began to peel the potatoes. I glanced over my shoulder, watching him lean back in his wooden chair.

"Have you forgotten already? It's coronation day! The whole kingdom is celebrating!" He cheered, his brown eyes lighting up. He laughed as he pushed himself away from the table, enveloping me in a tight hug.

He picked me up, making me scream. I pounded my fists against his arms, trying to keep from laughing. "George! Keep your voice down! The kids are still asleep!" I giggled.

He plopped my bare feet on the floor, a smile growing wide on his face. "Let's go to the castle today! It'll be open all day for everyone!"

I glared at him, sagging my shoulder and crossing my arms. Was he crazy? There was no way they would let anyone into the castle. No one had been in there for at least fifteen years.

George pouted looking down at me. "Come on, Kimberly. I know you've always wanted to see what the princesses looked like. Now's our chance!" He persisted.

I scoffed turning back around to finish peeling the potatoes. I couldn't believe I was having this conversation. "Like they would even let us in, George. You and I both know that they would never allow peasants like us into that fancy castle." I stated, angrily swiping the skins off of the potatoes.

"They said everyone was allowed to get a glance at them! Besides, what else are you going to do today?" He asked, leaning his chin on my shoulder. I rolled my blue eyes.

"Oh, you know, the usual. Doing the laundry, cleaning the house, making supper, and taking care of the kids. Trust me, it's a lot harder than it sounds." I grumbled back, growing annoyed. It felt like he was trying to bug me.

"Come on, Kimmy, just a little you and me time. We hardly even have time to talk anymore. Let's just spend today together, just us." He replied. I let out a sigh, wishing that could happen, but the world doesn't just stop because of a coronation.

"George, I would love to, but you and I both know that we can't leave Elliot and Ella to watch the baby. We would need someone to watch them and everyone is probably at the coronation." I answered, looking out of the window. I watched the happy couples skip towards the castle.

George turned me around, brushing back my brown locks. "That's the thing, sweetheart, I already asked Jane. She said she would watch the little rascals for us. We can go enjoy a day together." He grinned, looking into my blue eyes.

I giggled, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Oh, George!" I cheered. I let go, looking down at my dress. "I can't go out like this! I look terrible!" I cried, holding out my dress for him to see.

"Well, I think it looks gorgeous on you. Wear it." He commanded, pecking my cheek, hitting my face with his brown, prickly beard.

"I can't believe I'm going to see Princess Anna!" I squealed, tightly squeezing George's arm. We walked into the castle, admiring the beautiful paintings everywhere. Just the front entrance was two times the size of our house.

"What do you think she looks like?" George asked, eyeing me. I playfully rolled my eyes, staring at him.

"George, it's not like I fantasize about the royal family. Besides, everyone already has an idea about what she looks like. We've seen paintings of her and Elsa as small children. We just have to picture them much more mature." I answered, making him chuckle.

"Next." The guard commanded, pushing us into a large, crowded room. Everywhere I looked, I spotted royalty. They all had their fancy, clean dresses and beautiful hair all tied up. This was a little awkward compared to my loose hair and dirty dress.

"Hi! I'm Princess Anna! It's so nice to meet you!" She greeted as she jumped into my line of view.

"The pleasure's all mine." I smiled as she happily shook my hand. She looked as beautiful as I had imagined. She had stunning red hair and bright, blue eyes. She was even cuter with her freckles sprinkled all over her.

"This is crazy, isn't it? I mean, before it was just me and the servants. Now, I have millions of people to greet and talk to. This is so exciting!" She cheered, slightly jumping. I giggled watching her. "Ooh, chocolate! I'll be back!" She stated as she ran off.

"Spritely, isn't she?" George smiled as she ran off. I slapped his chest, making him laugh.

Eventually, all of us peasants were pushed out of the castle. They had to make room for the royalty. I glanced at the sky, noticing it turning to a dark shade of purple. The stars were beginning to blink awake, signaling that it was time for us to go home.

"Well, that was an adventurous day." I smiled as I looped my arm through George's. He let out a soft chuckle, shaking his brown hair.

"What part?" He asked.

I shrugged my shoulders, looking at our house grow in the distance. "Oh, you know, the part when Sarah tripped and fell face first into the cake." I giggled.

"I have to admit, that was funny, and she deserved it." He added, making me laugh. We opened the front door, seeing our children running around inside. Jane quickly entered from the bedroom, rocking a crying baby.

"Thank goodness you're finally home. Elliot and Ella have been bouncing off the walls with energy while William wouldn't stop crying." She complained as the baby screamed in her arms.

Quickly, I took the baby from her as George showed her the door. Poor girl, she had to spend the day taking care of lunatics. "Elliot, Ella, get ready for bed." I commanded. Without another word, they headed to their rooms.

"Kimmy, come and look at this," George stated, drawing me outside. The kids noticed and followed behind me. "Look." He added, pointing to the sky.

"It's snowing!" Elliot cheered. He and Ella began to dance as George and I shared a scared glance.

"Snow? In July?" I gasped.
