Rockabye sung by Clean Bandit ft. Sean Paul and Anne-Marie
She walked towards the kitchen carrying the silver tray in her right hand. She let out a small sigh and brushed her blonde hair out of her blue eyes. She used her hip to open the door, entering the crowded workplace, grabbing her next order. She traveled back to her table, listening to the sound of the waves crash against the shore. The sun was setting as she began her shift.
Elsa was nothing like she was supposed to be. She was supposed to be her father's perfect daughter. Elsa was going to be the heir to his company, but their plans were suddenly changed. They were changed by a little gift currently sleeping back at her apartment.
Her father told her that she was a disappointment. Only a fool would have sex with a man she hardly knew. He wouldn't have a slut take his proud company after him. He didn't want a daughter who had a baby out of wedlock. That wasn't something to proud off.
Elsa trudged up the steps into her apartment. A generous woman from the apartment complex had told Elsa that she would watch her baby when she was at work. The woman knew what Elsa was going through and decided to help out as much as she could. "Hello Rapunzel." Elsa greeted as she entered the tiny apartment.
The blonde looked up and smiled. She was gently rocking Elsa's child to sleep. Elsa looked over her shoulder, looking at her pride and joy. He wasn't very old, only six months. He was beginning to learn and grow fast. "How was he?" Elsa asked as she took her baby from Rapunzel's arms.
"He was good. He fell asleep once I gave him his bottle," Rapunzel explained as she packed up her things. She took her two year old off the couch and laid her over her shoulder. "Hope and I should be going. Goodnight."
"Goodnight. I'll watch her in the morning." Elsa replied. Rapunzel nodded and ran her hand over Hope's blonde hair. They were in messy pigtails. Her brown eyes were slightly open as she was beginning to wake up. Rapunzel told Elsa that she had her father's eyes. She always talked about how Hope was a lot like her father, the father she'd never met. Before she could whine, Rapunzel had left for her apartment.
Elsa gave her son a quick kiss, making him stir. She smiled and sat down in the rocking chair beside the window. She looked at her baby and lend back against the worn wooden chair. She admired his tiny hands as she let her voice flow out. "Ooh love, no one's ever gonna hurt you, love. I'm gonna give you all of my love. Nobody matters like you. Your life ain't gonna be nothing like my life. You're gonna grow and have a good life. I'm gonna do what I've got to do."
Her voice trailed out the window and into the street, making people stop. They all wondered where that voice was coming from, making them look for the person who held this beautiful voice. Elsa had a voice that even angels couldn't even compare to. It was a talent she didn't like to brag about, so many didn't know she had it. "Rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Somebody's got you. Rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Rockabye. Rockabye, yeah, yeah." She gently sang her lullaby to her baby, watching him drift to sleep.

"Mathew, you need to get up for school." Elsa lightly snag into his ear. He groaned and rolled over onto his stomach. He hated school. He had to be away from his mother for one, and other kids weren't very nice to him.
"Why?" He whined. Elsa softly laughed and sat on his bed. She rubbed his back in circles, trying to comfort her precious child. She hated seeing him upset, but she wanted him to have a life she never had. School was the first step to success.
"Because you're only six. All six year olds must go to school." She explained. After a couple minutes of coaxing and morning kisses, he eventually got ready for bed. She sent him off on the yellow bus outside their apartment. When she saw the bus turn off their street, she quickly grabbed her keys and sped out the door.
Rapunzel had left two years ago, finally finding the job she had been dreaming off. They keep in contact, making sure each one is doing well. Elsa only slightly lies to Rap. She just didn't want her to worry about them.
Elsa burst through the doors, looking for his ugly face. She passed by unconscious drunks lying on tables. She heard humors about him being here. Her heels clicked on the floor, causing eyes to turn and look at her. She was gorgeous, but they could tell she was here for something else.
"Where's Jack?" Elsa demanded as she slapped her hands on the wooden counter. The bartender jumped, surprised by her actions. He looked over her face, seeing bags under her stunning eyes and wrinkles forming around her face. She looked like she went through hell and back.
"I don't know who you're talking about." He lied as he cleaned out a glass mug. Elsa rolled her eyes, knowing he knew exactly where he was. Jack was a nomad, never staying in one place too long. If he was here last night, there was no guarantee he'd still be here tomorrow.
"Jackson Frost. Where is he?" Elsa repeated, crossing her arms over her chest. The bartender sighed, shaking his head. He wanted to tell her, but he wasn't allowed. Jack was a crafty guy, always getting people to do things for him.
"Sorry, ma'am. I'm not allowed to tell you that without a good cause." He explained. Jack said, well told him to keep his mouth shut about his whereabouts, unless it was a good reason. He knew Elsa meant trouble, but he couldn't help but feel sorry for her. He didn't know what she's been through, but he felt like Jack had something she needed.
"I'll tell you a good cause," Elsa growled. He grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled it close to her face. He jumped, startled by her actions. "Jackson Frost got me knocked up six years ago. I've been living out of the world's shittiest apartment with his son. I want him to pay me back."
"Okay! Okay!" The bartender exclaimed. He felt sorry for the girl, but she wasn't the only one he's knocked up. Jackson had kids all over this city. The bartender shook his head, knowing he shouldn't tell her. But Jack needed to help at least one woman. He had enough money as it was. The least he could do is pay the bills. "He's sleeping at the Mulberry Hotel. He just left drunk as hell, so I know he'll still be there."
Elsa furrowed her eyebrows. Why the hell was Jack staying there? That place was expensive. The rooms there cost more than her apartment. How the hell did he get that kind of money? "What room?" She questioned.
"Room 237," He quickly answered. Elsa pushed him back and brushed down her skirt and buttoned up shirt. She had to be at work in two hours and Mulberry Street was four blocks down. She could make it. She turned on her heels and stomped towards the door. "Go get him miss! Get him to pay the child support!" He cheered.

She looked up at the tall building. She walked towards the glass doors, watching them move back for her. Everyone's eyes landed on her as she walked into the lobby. She headed towards the elevator, making everyone confused. She hopped inside and pushed the second floor. She watched their eyes as the doors shut.
She reached outside of his door. She held her hand up, ready to slam against that wooden door, but hesitated. What would he say when he say her? He always told he that he loved her, but then he left one night. Would he try to reel her back in, or would he have forgotten her? Maybe he was dating someone else and she was just going to be a burden.
Before she turned around, the picture of her sweet little boy played in her mind. She wasn't going to let him have a life he didn't deserve. She needed money from Jack to give that child everything he needed. She raised her hand and pounded in the door.
The door opened, showing a long forgotten Jack. He looked awful, but the bartender did say he was drunk. He had multiple tattoos up his arms. "Sorry, I don't want any room service." He stated as he began to shut he door.
Elsa shook her head and reached her arm out to stop the door. "No! I'm not here to give you room service." She exclaimed as she opened the door back up. He stood back and looked at her, wondering what she wanted.
"Look, if you to do me, all you have to do is ask. I'm open anytime you are." He replied. Elsa gasped and glared at him. She couldn't believe he thought she just wanted to have sex with him. She furrowed her eyebrows and bit her lower lip in anger.
"I'm not here to please you. I'm here so you can pay for your child support." She declared as she poked his chest. She walked in his room and shut the door behind them. His eyes went wide.
"You're crazy, I don't have any kids. I take precautions so that doesn't happen." He argued. She huffed in anger, knowing that wasn't true. She meant tons of people who had been played by Jack. You would believe how many half siblings Mathew had and didn't even know it.
"I'm not crazy. I'm Elsa, the girl you knocked up and left to fight for herself!" She shouted, she was letting her anger get the best of her. She was just supposed to come to get him to pay and leave. Now they were arguing.
"Elsa? Elsa, baby. I've missed you. Where have you been?" He asked, trying to clear the air. He reached a hand out to brush her hair out of her eyes. She swatted his hand away, not going to fall for his tricks.
"Jack, I'm not here to get back with you, I'm only here for you to pay for your son's child support." She summarized. If you would have asked her years ago what she wanted most, it was to have Jack back. She wanted her son to grow up in complete family. But over the years, she knew he wasn't coming back.
"I don't have a child! Stop lying to me!" He shouted and he kicked over a stand. Over the past four years, people have been coming to him, begging for him to pay child support, but he wouldn't. He was too blind to see that he was the father.
"Why would I be lying?" She cried, following him around the room. She wasn't afraid of him. He might have been a ladies man, getting a new woman every night, but he would never lay a hand on them. He was raised well enough to know to never hit someone.
"So you can have me back in your life! So you have have my money! I don't know, Els." He argued. He was now two inches away from her face. He could clearly seeing the truth written all over her face, but he didn't want to believe it.
"Jack, I don't want you back in my life. I don't want your money for me. I only want your money to help pay for our son's school so he can grow up in a good home." She explained. Jack huffed and turned the other direction. He didn't want to hear this.
"Get out, Elsa." He whispered as he looked out the window.
"What?"
"I said get the fuck out! I'm not going to deal with your lying!" He shouted as he got back into her face, she didn't even move an inch. She wasn't afraid of him.
"God, can't you see? I just want what's best for Mathew! You walked out on me six years ago! You're the one who said we would be together forever, then one night you packed up all your things! You left me the night I told you I was pregnant!" She screamed back. She let out all her hate for him in one breath. She panted, hoping he could see that she wasn't lying.
"Get out." He growled. Before she could respond, he slapped her across the face. She gasped, feeling a sting on the left side of her face. She looked back up into his eyes, seeing only hate and greed.
"You are not the man I once loved. You are a monster! I hope you rot in hell you sick bastard." She huffed. She turned on her heels and walked out of his room. She rode down the elevator with her battle wound clear on her face. Everyone looked, unsure what to say. She walked out with pride, thankful that he didn't stay six years ago. Mathew would do just fine with him.

"Mommy, I'm cold." I cried as she wrapped the coat around his body. It had been months since she last talked to Jack. She didn't care where he had left to and hoped he'd never come back.
"I know, but everything will be okay." She smiled, trying to bring hope back into his eyes. Instead of paying for their heat, she paid for his bus fare and his school fee. She knew that it would be cold at night, but being at school was most important to her. She wanted him to grow up to be successful.
"Mommy, I'm scared." Cried the six year old. Tears began to stream out of his stunning blue eyes. His white hair was long and greasy because their water had been shut off two weeks ago.
"I know baby, I know." She comforted. She pulled him into her, cradling his head on her shoulder. She could feel his hot tears land on her neck, trailing down her back. He was the strongest kid she's ever met. If only he knew how much she loved him. For the past six years, she hasn't shed a tear. She's been ready for every obstacle thrown at her. She worked every single day and night, sometimes working triple shifts, trying to set things right year after year.
She closed her eyes, letting her soothing voice out. "Ooh love, no one's ever gonna hurt you, love. I'm gonna give you all of my love. Nobody matters like you. Your life ain't gonna be nothing like my life. You're gonna grow and have a good life. I'm gonna do what I've got to do. Rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Somebody's got you. Rockabye baby, rockabye. I'm gonna rock you. Rockabye baby, don't you cry. Rockabye"
