Two Black Cadillacs sung by Carrie Underwood

Two black Cadillacs were slowly driving in the funeral parade. Their headlights were brightly shining in the middle of the sunny day. In one of the cars, was his wife, Rapunzel Fitzherbert. She was the sweetest girl you could ever met. In the other, the woman he loved at night, Elsa Delle. Elsa never wanted to settle down, but she would hook up with any guy in one call.

Two months ago, Rapunzel started getting suspicions about her husband. He was always away on business trips and on the phone. Rapunzel was going to get to the bottoms of this. "Rapunzel, where's my cell phone?" Eugene shouted around in their small house.

"I have no idea." Rapunzel lied. She hid his phone in her car earlier that morning. Eugene groaned, annoyed with her. That was how he always felt around her recently. It was like she was always in the wrong.

"I guess I'll have to go to work without it." He mumbled. He slammed the door shut and sped off to work. Rapunzel watched the red car drive away, getting smaller and smaller into the horizon. When she knew he was gone, she quickly grabbed his phone and called his most recent number. It rang and rang, but before she could hang up, the line picked up.

"Hey babe. Ready for some fun tonight? I'm going to make love to you soo hard that-" A woman taunted. Rapunzel gasped and dropped the phone to the ground. She stared at the phone laying on the hardwood floor. She shakily picked it back up and swallowed down her fear.

"What are you planning on doing with my husband?" She questioned. Rapunzel couldn't believe what Eugene was doing to her behind her back. She hoped that what she was thinking wasn't true.

"Eugene's not married. He told me himself. Who is this?" The woman demanded. Elsa hoped this was some sick prank one of his friends were playing on her. Eugene wouldn't lie to her.

"The real question is who are you?" Rapunzel fired back. Her tears were sliding down her face. She had lost all hope in bringing back her husband. He was a sick man. Finding out this way smashed her heart into pieces.

"Elsa Delle. Now who are you?" Elsa persisted. She had to know who was on the other line. This couldn't have been his wife. He wasn't married. He told her that his girlfriend recently broke up with him.

"Rapunzel Fitzherbert." She sobbed. She could hear Elsa gasp and start apologizing, but Rapunzel couldn't care less. She was disgusted in her husband. But she was more angry with herself. She should have known the signs. Late night calls and 'business trips' weren't common before last year.

"Rapunzel! Listen to me!" Elsa screamed through the phone. Elsa couldn't believe what Eugene had done to the both of them. He was playing them both. Lying and cheating was something Elsa hated. Rapunzel's heart was put back together with hated and revenge.

"Let's get back at him. I can never forgive him for this." Rapunzel growled. Her sadness turned into anger. She would do anything to make him pay for what he deserves. He was nothing to her anymore. Two could play at that game.

One week ago, Elsa called Rapunzel back. Everything was ready for their sinister plan. That rotten, cheating bastard was going to get what he deserved. Rapunzel smiled, waiting for the terrible news. She slept well that night for the first time in months. The phone rang at four in the morning, interrupting her dream.

"Mrs. Fitzherbert." The man greeted. He sounded like he couldn't bear to tell her the news.

"Yes?" Rapunzel questioned. She knew what this call was about.

"Your husband has been found dead." He declared. Rapunzel broke down crying, trying to play her act. She couldn't be seen as a suspect. She wouldn't be seen as a suspect. The little wife could never commit a crime as bad as murder.

Elsa and Rapunzel stood side by side at the funeral of her husband. The preacher stood in front of the crowd, ready to give his prayer. "Eugene was a good man. He was always following the ways of God. We can only hope that he's allowed up into heaven with our other loved ones."

Next was Eugene's brother. He stood up, trying to keep his tears from spilling out. "Eugene was a good friend. He was always there for me. He didn't deserve to go this soon." He sobbed. Eugene's mother came and quickly led him away. Rapunzel was asked to say something, but she refused, saying she wasn't ready.

Elsa and Rapunzel walked up to his coffin, neither one shedding a tear. This was the first time they had seen each other face to face. Each one laid a rose on the oak coffin. Taking turns, they tossed a handful of dirt in the deep ground, burying their secret. They looked up and shared a crimson smile. The plan was falling into place. Nothing could have made this more perfect.

Giving each other one last glance, they turned away, never seeing each other again. Eugene wasn't the only keeping secrets. No one would know what they did to make his life end so soon.
