SHUT UP ΔΠD ҒISH

Shut Up And Fish sung by Maddie and Tae

Merida was sitting on her front step, tossing Angus a stick to fetch. Hiccup said he would be here ten minutes ago, but Merida didn't mind. She loved playing with Angus. Angus turned around and chased down the red Corvette speeding down the gravel driveway. Merida smiled and stood up. She wiped her hands on her legs and walked over to his window. "Ready to go?" He asked.

She nodded her head and hopped into the passenger seat. She pulled her seatbelt over her shoulder and spotted his outfit. Salmon shorts and a white v-neck. She chuckled and shook her head. "Wow, you know how to dress down for a city guy." She teased.

He scoffed and rolled his green eyes. They headed out for a spot on the lake. He parked the car as she got their little boat into the water. She placed the rods on the sides of the boat and waiting for him. Boy, he takes forever. He jogged over to her with a cup of bait in his hands. "Let's go!" He cheered, hopping over the side off the boat. He eagerly tapped his legs, ready to get out on the water.

Merida chuckled and pushed the boat away from the shore. She hopped onto the other side and they rowed out into the middle of the lake. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He loved the smell of the lake because it reminded him of Merida. She was the first one to take him fishing years ago.

Eventually, they stopped and looked out. The sun was high in the sky. It was about noon and the day was going to get hot. The water twinkled, making the couple wish they brought sunglasses. "This is living, huh?" Merida spoke.

Hiccup hummed, agreeing with her. "Well, time to get fishin!" She cheered, quickly grabbing a rod. She hooked a worm and cast it out far. She watched the red bobber bounce up and down. The wind was low so the waves were calm.

Hiccup scooted closer to her. He had more than just bass on his mind. Merida glared at him, not wanting to be too close. She was hot already and she didn't want to touch another hot body. She slid over, hopping he would get the idea.

Nope, he just followed her. He crowded over her casting shoulder. Couldn't he just leave her alone? She just wanted to fish! "You're pretty." He complimented, hoping she would know what he was getting out.

She rolled her blue eyes and stared forward. Maybe if she ignored him he would get the picture. No such luck. He reached out trying to touch her reeling hand. "I love you, Merida!" He grinned.

She glared at him and pulled her hand away. Ugh! She just wanted to fish without all of this mushy love stuff. "Don't get any better than this." He smiled, leaning back in the boat. Everything was perfect as long as he as with her.

"Yeah it could if you would shut up and fish!" She snapped. He understand that she was getting madder than a hornet in an old coke can. Basically, if he keep pushing her she would definitely sting him.

He scooted away, trying to show her he meant no harm. She smiled and turned back towards the water. Maybe if he would get his line ready he would actually catch something!

Merida listened to him messing around in the boat. She figured he was finally baiting his line. When she turned around, he was right in her face again. "I love you!" He smiled then pecked her lips.

Oh boy, he really was pushing his luck. Merida reeled her line in again, going to try the other side. Her line wasn't the other she wanted to throw in. She leaned over the other side of the boat, hopping for at least a bite. "Maybe you should bait your line, Hicc." She offered.

He shook his head. Nope. He knew he was bugging her. He knew she couldn't do anything to him out here. "No thanks, just lookin at you is enough." He grinned. Merida had all she could take.

She gave he a shove, tossing him overboard. He shot out of the water, shivering. He glared at her, unimpressed with her actions. "Oops! I meant to give you a little push!" Merida called.

"Har, har, Mer." He replied, swimming back to the boat. She held her hand to help him back up. He reached up, wanting out of the cold water, but Merida wasn't done yet. She shoved his head under the water.

"Had enough, Captain Casanova?" She snickered. He spit water at her, getting her top water. She screamed surprised at his actions. He swam around to the other side, hoping he could get out by himself.

She followed him, holding out her hand again. He took and a let her help him up. He sat on the wood bench, staring at the redhead. Water dripped off of him, getting the inside of the boat wet. She snickered, trying to hold back her laughter. "What did you do that for?" He exclaimed.

"You wouldn't shut up and fish!" She replied. He scoffed and rolled his green eyes. Now he was wet and feeling lonely. She wouldn't even kiss him once! All he wanted was a taste of her sweet lips! "Plus I figured that you needed a nice, cold shower."

"In the lake? What a great way to get clean." He sarcastically responded. She chuckled and brushed her red curls behind her ears. He looked at her, trying not to smile. He had to pretend to be mad at her.

She leaned over and pecked his lips. He looked at her, surprised by her. He always had to make the first move. "I love you!" She shouted, a huge grin plastered on her face. She handed him a rod, making him laugh. Maybe now he would shut up and fish.
