"Seriously! Come on, Eugene! Tell me where you're taking me!" She squealed, holding onto his hands that were covering her bright green eyes.

"It's a surprise." He answered for at least the tenth time. He rolled his brown eyes, but a smile was still plastered on his face. He couldn't wait to see her reaction when she reached their destination.

"You know I'm awful with surprises. So just tell me!" She giggled, slightly tripping as she walked. She couldn't wait to see what he planned for them.

"Nope," Eugene declared as he continued to lead her to the destination. "And I'm not giving you any hints either!" He quickly added, making her groan.

"You're no fun." She grumbled, making him laugh. They stopped, Eugene running to stand in from of her.

"Okay. You can open your eyes now." He instructed. She slowly opened her eyes, wondering what it could possibly be. Her jaw dropped as she saw that his backyard had turned into a dazzling scene. The trees and fence were decorated in white lights and there was a quiet song playing in the background.

"Oh, Eugene." She awed, placing her hand over her chest. She felt the tears building up in her green eyes. Her mouth began to frown as she tried to hold in her feelings.

"Woah, hey, hey. Don't cry. The night's just gettin' started." He grinned, grabbing her soft hands. He pulled her to the table, which was decorated with candles and had a meal set for them.

She giggled, wiping under her eyes. He was right. Their night was just getting started. He helped her sit down, pushing in her chair perfectly. She wasn't too squished and she didn't have to sit on the edge. "Eugene, this is gorgeous." She stated.

"Thank you, I worked very hard." He chuckled, running his hand through his thick hair. She giggled, patting down her red dress. Her blonde hair was pulled up into a loose bun and she made sure to wear the necklace her gave her last year.

"So," she started, her green eyes holding with his brown ones. "Did you get this off of Pinterest or did come up with this all on your own?" She teased, a soft smirk on her chubby face.

"Come on, Raps. You know I thought of this all on my own." He grinned, leaning back into his chair.

"Oh, so your sister helped you." She smiled, her teeth sparkling like the stars above them. He chuckled, shrugging his shoulder.

"Maybe." He answered, making her laugh. God, what did he ever do to deserve to hear that sweet laugh? God, she looked so stunning tonight. But when didn't she look stunning? Man, he was so love-struck.

Suddenly, their song started playing in the background. He slowly stood up, holding out his hand. "Come on, let's dance." He declared. Her right cheek lifted up as she grabbed his hand.

He pulled her to the grass, which was damp from the dew. Her heels sank into the ground, making her lightly screaming. She clutched onto him, not wanting to fall in the wet grass. "Maybe I should just take these off." She giggled, pulling them off her petite feet.

She awkwardly threw them across the lawn, making him lightly laugh. She blushed at him as she wrapped her arms around his neck. His hands snaked onto her waist, pulling her close. "You're so beautiful." He softly stated, his eyes never leaving her face.

She looked down, embarrassed. "I look like a mess, Eugene." She mumbled back. She couldn't believe he just said that. She didn't look beautiful. She far from it.

He leaned forward, his lips grazing her ear. "Darling, you look perfect."

Her head shoot up, her wide, green eyes staring into his. In those shining orbs, he saw a future he wanted with her. He wanted her to be his girl, and he wanted to be her man. She was the strongest woman he had ever known. Yes, he found his love. This love was something he had never experienced before.

Their lips slowly glided to each other, listening to their hearts. They meet each other in the middle, his heart swooning as he felt her plump lips against his. He wasn't going to give up on her time this. No, he was going  to fight for her. No matter the situation, no matter what was at stake, he would be by her side.

They let go, panting softly. He nervously chuckled, their kisses never feeling like that. After all, they were only kids. Suddenly, she slipped, falling to the ground. She pulled him down, making him land beside her.

"I'm so sorry." She apologized, covering her mouth. Eugene laughed, laying on his back, his hands folded over his chest.

"It's cool, babe. Besides, the sky is a look prettier down here." He shrugged, staring up at the nighttime sky. The twinkling stars reminded him of her eyes. The moon matched her heart, big and full of light.

She pulled out her hair, laying down beside him. "You're right. The sky is better down here." She agreed, snuggling beside him. She slipped her hand into his, never taking her eyes off of the sky.

"I was thinking," she began. "Do you ever want kids?" She asked, glancing over at him.

"Of course." He replied, his eyes meeting her's again. She grinned, looking back up at the sky.

"Good. 'Cause, that's always been a dream of mine." She quickly explained, feeling kinda stupid for bringing it up. They were 17. The idea of kids already seemed a little irrational.

"Me too," He nodded. She titled her head back at him, grinning. "Hey, can I tell you a secret?" He asked.

"Of course, Eugene. You can tell me anything." She replied, rolling onto her stomach to get a better look at him. He let out a little scoff, smiling at her.

"Well, I just wanted to say that I've met an angel before, and she looks absolutely perfect tonight." He complimented, making her aw and gently shove him.

"Stop it, you're making me blush." She quickly replied, looking at the grass, biting her lower lip.

"Well, it's true." He answered. She smiled at him and placed onto kiss on his lips. Her hand rested on his chest as their kiss became more heated. In his mind, he couldn't help but think about they home they would hopefully share some day. They were still kids, but he couldn't help but think of their children and the love they had.

She looked perfect.

She was perfect.
