Today, the FCC voted to kill Net Neutrality, meaning that Americans will have to pay for practically every app and site that they currently have for free. And what we will get most likely will be censored by the government.

I know that this is a terrible thing and a lot of people are freaking out about not being able to pay these fees and losing Wattpad, but hold up! There's still hope yet!

The repeal isn't going to go into immediate effect. This might take a while. Besides, this repeal still has issues that will be discussed by members in Congress and Supreme Court. Net neutrality may have a sword through it, but because the wound's not through the heart, it's not dead yet.

We can help make a difference! With your parents' permission, or even better yet with your parents, contact your government officials! Call and email and tweet and tag your senators and congressmen and representatives to let them know that they aren't doing their promised jobs of being your voice if they just let this happen. Remind them that a key factor of a dystopian society is the government taking away personal rights and freedoms, and that's just what repealing net neutrality is. Taking away the people's rights.

As for our friends outside of America (you lucky ducks), do the same thing! Contact US officials and let them know how much you disapprove of this repeal. Pressure and judgement from outside people will slowly cause them to cave in and help save net neutrality.

Come on guys, let's not let this happen. Let's not let our friendships be torn apart by this repeal. Let's fight for each other.
