Random thought
"Khushi Ji became my life. My love, my madness, my craziness and my everything. And now there is only one hurdle in my life, Rani-Sahiba."
Arnav is pacing in his room like a caged lion, with closed fists, clenched jaws and teary eyes. It's getting difficult for him to control his anger and pain. He never thought that his ability to judge people would be wrong. He never expected that he would get betrayed by the person whom he and his Di along with his family loved and literally worshipped. He never expected there would come a day that would turn his Di's life upside down. He never expected history to repeat. His Jjija Ji's words are ringing in his ears.
He never expected he would get betrayed..., that too by the person he started to admire..., he never thought his love would be torn in the budding stage. Tears rolled down from his eyes.
"Khushi...," he whispered with gritted teeth. He couldn't believe whatever he saw. He knew Khushi well and that's the thing disturbing him more. He couldn't believe that Khushi would do such things.
He kept his fist between his teeth to control the sob which was threatening to come out. But unable to control the pain, he slumped on the floor and cried. After letting out his pain a bit, he changed his dress and washed his face before facing his sister and family to say about the betrayal. He stopped in his tracks hearing the laughter from the hall.
"Damn it!!! It's Akash's marriage today! How can I tell them?" Arnav felt helpless. Arnav stood in his room looking at the pool which gave him much solace whenever he was in pain. In the same way, it helped him now too. Suddenly he got flashes of all the times he spent with Khushi near the poolside. Whether it is her coming there first time with the given work and typewriter, or it is her throwing the hot tea on him, or it is her who apologised to him for throwing the hot tea, or it is her taking the mud from his pot; it is he who helped her to clear her eye, or it is him who helped her from getting hurt from the hot candle wax, or it is them about to kiss on Diwali night, or it is her who helped Lavanya in treating his cut, or it is her who cried her heart out holding his hand when her fiance hurt her.
Suddenly, Arnav's eyes got wide thinking about that day.
"Am I thinking right? Am I missing something?" he thought. He sat on the chair and closed his eyes to cool his mind to think properly.
"Buaji..., I'll inform Shyam Ji about Khushi's arrival and come."
Arnav stopped in his tracks hearing Khushi's sister's words. 'Shyam?' he thought with a frown. But soon his thoughts got diverted to a particular girl lying on the bed unconscious with her buaji hovering over her. He turned his head slightly to have a look at the girl who is wincing in her sleep. He closed his eyes, let out a silent sigh and left from there.

"Arey...,!!! There are so many Shyam-s out there in the world other than my Shyam Ji...," Anjali said.
::::::::
"By the way, Khushi Ji, this fiancee of yours, by any chance, is your PG?" Anjali teased Khushi.
Khushi nodded her head smiling faintly without the usual spark in her eyes.
:::::::
"ASR, look at Chamkili, how desperate she is becoming, to talk with Shyam - her fiancee" Lavanya teased Khushi, who is looking at him with pained eyes.
::::::::
"I don't know Chote. But I feel something is wrong. When we teased her about her fiancé, I saw a different kind of Khushi. She isn't the same. I saw blankness in her eyes."
:::::::::::
"What's wrong Khushi? What happened? Why are you crying? Did anyone say anything to you?" he asked her with concern, seeing her crying.
But Khushi kept on crying holding his hand. Suddenly he got a doubt and asked.
"Khushi..., did your fiancee do something...," he left the sentence in between. But watching her stop her cries and looking at him with fearful eyes, he understood that man did something to hurt her.
"What did he do?" he gritted his teeth. "Answer me Khushi..., did he try to hurt you?" he is desperate to know.
"he did to me...," she stopped saying abruptly and looked into his eyes as if searching for something or trying to read his inner turmoil. She suddenly left from there, telling him that she needed to go.
:::::::
"Khushi Ji, this is my husband - Shyam Ji" Anjali introduced her husband to Khushi, hugging his hand "the world's best husband."
"Namaste. Anjali Ji..., I need to go" Khushi said abruptly.
"He will drop you" after trying to make Khushi stay and fail, Anjali declared and almost ordered Khushi and her husband.
"NOOO...," Khushi's response surprised everyone. "I have some other work before going to my house. So, Namaste, I will take your leave now" with that Khushi left from there.
Arnav felt worried.
::::::::::::
Arnav paced around the pool, remembering a few incidents. He needs answers and only one person can give them. If whatever he is thinking is correct, he is not going to leave that good for anything jijaji of his. For that, he needs full proof. He took out his mobile and dialled his trusted sources.
"Get me all the details ASAP, maybe by tomorrow morning? I don't want to take any chances, do you get that?" Arnav said on his phone with a low dangerous voice.
'...,'
"That will be good for you. I will wait for your call" he dropped his call and leaned on the chair, which he is sitting on the poolside. He closed his eyes with his palms rubbing them in exhaustion. Suddenly he opened his eyes, remembering the person of his heart 'Khushi' he whispered and rushed outside to listen if she had anything to say. Even though he trusts her, he still wants to hear out what she has to say, to know whether she trusts him with the ugly, worst and painful truth of her life; to know whether he is worthy of her trust or not.
When he entered the hall, he looked around to meet with the most desperate eyes looking back at him. Looking into her eyes, he felt unknown peace in his heart. He saw her walking hurriedly towards him.
"Arn...,"
He took her hand and led her towards the secluded place in the house in the given situation. When they reached the poolside, he immediately hugged her tightly.
"Arnav Ji...,"
"I trust you Khushi. Believe me, I don't have any doubt in you. I trust you. But, Khushi, I need to know..., and I hope you will trust me enough to tell me everything."
"Arnav Ji..., what are you talking about?" Khushi asked, looking at his face. She wants to tell him everything about Shyam. But seeing his worried face, she decided to deal with his worries first.
Realising that he said everything in his heart, Arnav took a deep breath and cupped her face. Still, none of them realized how close they stood and how there was nothing uncomfortable in their pose.
Taking a deep breath Arnav said " Khushi, before I say anything, I want you to know and believe that I trust you, completely. I don't have any doubt or misunderstanding. But Khushi, I need to know..., to set things alright. I need to know the truth. So, I will ask you only one question. Please answer me."
Khushi looked at him and nodded her head in confusion.
"Who is your ex-fiancee?" He asked, holding his breath.
Khushi's eyes widened hearing the question. Her palms started sweating.
Seeing her eyes getting wider, Arnav knew whatever he thought was indeed true. Still, he needed to know the entire truth, just to satisfy his mind and heart, knowing he is trusted by her.
"Tell me Khushi..., was he the person whoever I'm thinking of? Did he hurt you?" Arnav asked.
Khushi understood his questions and understood that he knew. But how?
"How?" She whispered.
"I came to the terrace following you. But there I saw him huggi...," he gulped hard "I couldn't stand there with the feeling of losing you. I came back to my room. But I'm not judging you Khushi. Because I know you. I know that marriage and relationships are very important to you. I know that you will not keep your morals and values at stake for anything. I trust you Khushi. But still, I need to know the truth, to set things fine, to safeguard Di and..., and you..., and our families. Please Khushi...," he whispered. He is still holding her face in his hands. Suddenly, he saw a line of tears form in her eyes and she hugged him tightly, crying her heart out. Arnav hugged her back. After a few more minutes he felt her relaxing in his arms and took a breath to know the truth.
Khushi told him everything from the beginning to Shyam's stunt on the terrace a few minutes back. She felt Arnav's anger. She quickly came out of the hug and held his fists, which were closed due to anger.
"This is the reason I never wanted to tell you, Arnav Ji. I never wanted you to lose control and affect your health. He is not worthy. I know this truth hurts you, that's why I didn't tell you. You are way more important to me Arnav Ji." She confessed.
Arnav looked at her with wide hopeful eyes.
"Whatever I said was the truth. That day, I came to tell everything to Anjali Ji. But couldn't, seeing her belief in him."
Arnav closed his eyes, thanking the stars for sending this girl to him. He hugged her again and spoke into her hair.
" No need to give any explanation Khushi. I trust you. Don't worry, everything will be fine and I will take care of him from now on. And yeah, I will control my anger too."
Khushi smiled through her tears. She closed her eyes and hugged him feeling the warmth and support. She is feeling like she has someone of her own.
She relaxed in his arms, not fearing anything as she knew he would take care of everything.
He relaxed in her arms, not fearing anything as he knew she would be with him all the time.
Arnav Khushi forever Hamesha...
