The group apart from suika were back at the second island, waiting for suika's return, Ginro was still munching on a leaf from the supply he ate but still spoke with kohaku "here's the plan, everything will be just fine, as along as you make it to the final match, got that?"

Just then they all heard " ahh! This is horrible!" They looked and saw mantle, magma's little lackey running towards them from the bridge " suika went to pick up some herbs and fell into the river!" He says " I'm afraid The poor things going to drown! Kohaku your the fastest! So you need to go down and help her before it's too late!"

Senku made an cringe expression. "That's ten billion percent obviously he's lying through he's teeth." He announced which peeved off chrome, Which caused mantle to panic " n-no...I'm telling you the truth I swear! I just happened to be walking by the river when I saw her, and then she fell in!"

So, Senku and Chrome, no believing himself started stepping on him

" if you just happened to see her fall into the river, how did you know she was there to collect herbs in the first place?" Chrome asked in a mockery

"Come back in ten billion years if you really want to have a brain battle with the science team, you slimy pea brained idiot."  Senku says mocking him also, Kohaku gently grabbed Senku's shoulder, gaining his attention " in almost positive he's lying, but there's a slim chance he's not, I can't risk it and let suika die" 

"Yeah well, you know you and san are our last lines of defence against magma, so if you bail on us now..." senku was cut off

" look! I'm the fastest I'm the only one who can save her! I know it's risky! But I have to go see for myself!"

" let her go...." they all looked towards yuna, who had her back turned " kohaku...go and save suika, then come back to us, if all else fails, I'll fight magma." She says looking forward

" I won't fail my goddess!" Kohaku says determined, Before looking down at the lackey mantle, who smirked disgustedly " you disgusting mantle...a despicable person!" She then took off to save suika

" kohaku!"

"N-No way! she's leaving us!" Ginro cried. 

Time skip

Everyone stood outside the arena as the it was time to  start the fight " round one, kinro! Magma! Come Forward!" 

"Hey, Kohaku's not here...she went to save Suika." Chrome said to Jasper, Who stated "she competes in the third round, if she hasn't returned by then, she'll will be disqualified." He says with his arms crossed, ginro started panicking while chrome looked angry " Damn it! Kohaku hurry!" The only other hope they had was san.

Magma laughed as mantle stood beside him running his hands together "excellent work mantle" magma smirked

"Oh yeah! I had to make sure our problem was solved!" He grinned  as magma went forward

Kinro and Magma got ready to battle.  "Now that Kohaku is gone, there's no one who can defeat me." Magma smirked. "I, Magma will get what I deserve"

'Despicable human being....' yuna clenched her fist with such anger

"Ruri and the entire village will be mine, now kinro, Surrender to me and I'll make you my right hand man. I need a strong fighter by my side, as well as someone that could do my bidding."  He stomped his foot forward " grovel at my feet before the crowd, put on a show for everyone, do that and I'll take it as your pledge of loyalty"

Kinro frowned. "Listen. Magma, even if everything you say is true...I'd never kneel before you....there are many schemes in this grand bout...but I can only fight honestly and to the best of my abilities, Besides..." he narrowed his eyes at him "I'm not the same man from before..."

Magma started laughing " Hahaha! You've never once beaten me in a match before So what's so different about this time?"

Kinro clenched his fist around the spear. " this time...." he thought about the others that were watching, and Kohaku who had gone to rescue suika "I have no choice but to win, because my friends are counting on me!"

"Round one: Magma versus Kinro. Begin!"  Jasper yelled

"Your motivated by a list for power...But I!" Right as he said it, kinro thrust his spear, which magma was surprised and blocked " have bigger reasons than that!!!!" He managed to knock back magma, and thrust out the spear profusely and fast, but confused to attack

Magma stared astonished. "Wow kinro! When did you get so strong?!"

Villagers started cheering him on

" kinro seems to be holding his own against magma!" Ga nan states

"He might actually win this whole thing!" A male with spike brown hair said, Meanwhile the group looked rather surprised and impressed

"Huh, I gotta say, he's doing ten billion percent better than I was expecting."  Senku admitted

"This is all thanks to the train our battle team, yuna's hellish training!" Ginro cheered with a fist pump

" if you think my training was hellish, wait till you meet my grandfather" yuna grinned mischievously

Chrome looked at him snug like" Why the hell are you acting so smug about it ginro?"

Chrome noticed Mantle hiding amongst the crowd with a rock in his hand, ready to through it at a certain someone fighting ' got our backup plan right here!' Chrome called out before he threw it  "Hey, Mantle." Who flinched at the hearing of his name " Jasper's our bad referee. There's no way he's going to leg you get away with that." Chrome smirked. 

Mantle grew really  nervous. "Hehe...I was just, uh...Click, click! Just Clicking these to cheer him on." 

"Nuts." Senku said with a disappointment smirk and began to dispose off all the little tricks he was going to throw from his robe while the two apart from ginro and yuna gawked at him

Meanwhile elsewhere

Suika was thrashing about, tied to a tree, trying to get herself free" ahhh! What am I gonna do now?! Mantle tied me up so tight I don't know how I'm gonna break out of this!" She then came up with an idea and starting spinning around like she did when she hid in her Melon, whic she did so, finally managing to escape " I have to get back to the others quick!" And so she started racing back to the village

Meanwhile back at the fight

The crowd watched in shock when Magma took a step back " magma took a big step back..."

" he always goes rushing with brute force..."They're noticed the expression in his face, the seriousness planted

" he looks serious! I've never seen like this before"

Kinro's eyes narrowed ' not good, he's put distance between us..' his vision of magma at a distance became blurry, Just then suika was rolling down the bridge, going up a post and observing Kinro frowning like she used to. "I know that look....he's straining his eyes."

"Suika, your okay!" Yuna smiled at her relieved

"So 'mantle was lying about you drowning." Chrome said. "What a little worm!" She jumped down and informed " I think Kinro has the fuzzy sickness in his eyes!" They're eyes widened in surprise " heS making faces like I used to have Too!"

Kinro thrust out his spear, but was too far from magma, who starts laughing while mocking him " not even close!" He then charged forward and hit kinro across the face, Then started hitting him rapidly 'The last one was strong enough to blow him away to the floor "bad! He just wiped the floor with him!" Chrome exclaimed clenching his head

"Kinro!" Ginro cried

Kinro was laying helplessly on the ground, gritting his teeth in pain ' I can barely move...is this it?.,.' He then thought about the others ' no.!...not yet..!...it's too important to give up now!...' Suika stood at the top of the stairs, looking down at the situation, she started spinning around like she when she was to become a watermelon

" suika?" Ruri gasped Surprised

" what the hell do you think your doing up here?!" Her father exclaimed angry

" I'm finally gonna really really make myself useful For once!!!" She yelled

Magma steps towards him as he tried to get up "hahahaha! You give up kinro?" Magma mocked " I think I like you more now, I actually want you to be my henchmen"

Suika starts rolling down the stairs " I'm gonna use the stairs to build up speed!!!"

" now you better start grovelling boy" Magma gestures to his feet, As suika got to the bottom, she got out of the melon and threw her helmet towards Kinro, earning everyone's attention. " take the eyes of scienece kinro!!!" Kinro's eyes widened, and he jumped and put on the watermelon helmet, looking like some kind of strong hero, well.....not to the others, they cringed, except for yuna "That makes him look so creepy!" The boys exclaimed

"Good job, Suika." Yuna smirked, knowing the results

Magma mocked the guy as he ran to attack. "Hahaha!Nice try! But that goofy mask isn't gonna save ya!"

Kinro gasped,staring in awe ' I can see!' As magma went to strike, kinro dodged just in Time  ' this!... is the power of science!' Kinro was now able to dodge all Magma's attacks, Meanwhile the crowd was shocked also " whoa!! Holy crap!" The brown haired one exclaimed " it's close but he's dodging each attack!" G anan breathed

"Hey! What kind of stunt you trying to pull here?!"" Magma freaked, Kinro blocked his attack by stepping on his spear " I'm so grateful...for the science, For Suika, Senku and yuna!"

He stared pulling the reverse move magma pulled on him, and stuck him multiple times, even managed to send him flying to the ground

"Learn this lesson, Magma...if I had this gift of science before..had this vision...I would have surpassed you long ago!" Everyone began to cheer for Kinro.
