Henrik was overworking himself in his lab like usual, he seemed absolutely exhausted at this point but he had to keep working, or so he thought.

Chase had explained the situation to you, he was worried for the doctor and he wanted you to go check things out since Henrik didn't yell at you when you entered the lab.

((The only reason he yells at the others is because, he KNOWS they'll break something if they get in the lab))

You had walked up to the entrance and already you could hear him muttering 'I have to keep vworking' over and over, you felt bad for the poor man he had done so much... He needed a break, but trying to convince him would be easier said than done.

You gently knocked on the door "Henrik... May I come in?" You heard a muffled yet strained "Yes, come in...." The poor man even sounds exhausted, you gently opened the door and walked inside, being sure to close the door behind you.

Henrik still continued to focus on his work "Vhat do you vwant (Y/N)? If your here just to check up on me I can assure you zat I am fine" That was a lie obviously, he just didn't want you to worry about him.

You frowned and placed a hand on his shoulder, you could feel how tense he was now "Henrik... I know you hate breaks, hell even taking days off but please... You are overworking yourself..."

Henrik looked over at you, his eyes were absolutely bloodshot "Meine liebling... I have to vwork, I have to keep vworking..." He muttered, sighing and placing his head into his hands.

((I guess basically meine liebling would be: my dear. I'll translate the German as best I can, the German words, well its basically gonna be cute nicknames just so you know!))

"Oh who am I kidding... Zis vwill never vwork, I've been trying at zis fo' dayz, vweeks, monthz even..." He mumbled while pulling the cap off his head and then sighing "I am an absolute failure of a doctah..."

Your eyes widened as you placed your hands on his shoulders "Henrik Von Schneeplestein!" You started, he seemed rather startled when you used his full name "You are NOT nor have you ever been a failure...! You've helped so many people!"

Henrik was silent as he listened closely to your words "You've saved Chase and Jack both before! You've helped countless people out, including me... Henrik, I care about you, a lot... It hurts me to see you overworking yourself and then putting yourself down like this."

You gently cupped his face, looking him straight in the eyes "You are the world's best doctor, the best one out there... There'll never ever be another doctor as amazing or talented as you."

Henrik's eyes sparkled and he looked like he was tearing up now "Schätzchen... You really mean zat?"

((Schatz or the one I used because its honestly cuter just aahh: Schätzchen = Treasure/Darling))

You nodded and smiled, leaving a small kiss on his cheek "Of course I mean that... Henrik, I care about you... and, I....I love you... I don't wanna see you overwork yourself or beat yourself up like that..."

You blushed, being a little embarrassed by what you just said, but it was true... You did love and care about him a lot, it pained you to see him in such a state.

Henrik gently took your hands and intertwined them with his own, standing up and looking into your eyes "(Y/N)... If it meanz zat much to you zhen... I suppose a break vwouldn't hurt fo' once..." He smiled a little when you cheered happily.

However, his knees buckled which caused Henrik to collapse, it was then you could tell just how exhausted he really was, you quickly helped him up as best you could "C'mon Henrik... Let's get you into a bed..."

After a bit, and some help from Chase, you managed to get the doctor into his own room, as soon as he flopped over on the bed he seemed to relax more and seemed... happier in a way, he turned towards you, a bright smile on his face "Zhank you very much Meine Liebe... Zhank you fo' caring so much about me too."

You smiled and took his hand, holding it gently "It's no problem Henrik, I've always cared about you, you know..." You paused for a minute to look deeply into his blue eyes "You are an amazing doctor and... really, just amazing in general... You've done so much for everyone"

You were about to continue but you were cut off when you felt Henrik pull you to his side which caused you to yelp in surprise, he simply began cuddling you "Meine Liebe... I love you... You always know just vhat to say to make me feel better, even vhen I'm at my all time low..."

He cuddled you close and kissed you on the cheek "I love you vwith all my haht... You don't mind... U-Uhm..." He began to stutter and fumble with what he was trying to say, he just wanted to phrase this right so it didn't sound... weird.

"Vwill you... uhm... stay here... Vwith me? Y-You... You don't have to if you--" You quickly cut him off by placing a kiss not to his cheek, but to his lips which surprised him immensely, it was a quick kiss that left both you blushing "I don't mind... I can stay for as long as you want" You gave him a bright smile.

Henrik smiled "Zhank you (Y/N).... Zhank you.... so much... Ich liebe dich..." He mumbled, before falling asleep finally... You smiled and mumbled 'I love you' as quietly as you could, laying down beside him and snuggling into him, you closed your eyes and fell asleep as well.

((I usually end stories off like this an awful lot don't I? Ehehe... I think its a cute way to end off, anyways I will make this clear, and I'm not saying I didn't have fun with this, no no I had a lot of fun making this even if it is a lil shorter than most! But I don't know if I'll just start doing requests like full-time because....

That tends to stress me out, because I know there could be a lot quite possibly, but I was happy to do this one at least, I MAY do requests in the future like full-time ones but only time will tell, anyways that's enough from me!
