7. Tom Hudson.
"I need you to put more action in this scene. You need to act like you are in serious pain." Mr. John, Ava's Movie Director said. He wore a concerned look.
"I'm trying my best sir," Ava replied.
"Good, let's start this scene again then." He said, stretching his hands.
"Cue! Action!"
Ava placed her hand on her stomach and sat on the floor. According to the script, she just ate poisoned food.
"Cam... Camilla... You.. you poisoned me.. you....." She stammered.
"Yes, what I planned to do a very long time ago, just didn't have the chance." Tisa, the girl who acted as Camilla replied, smiling devilishly.
"Som..someone..help..help."
Ava said, gasping for breath.
"Oh dear, unfortunately, they've all gone to work," Tisa replied.
"Cut!! Nice one." Mr. John commended.
"Thanks, sir." They replied.
Ava and Tisa left the stage as the studio became rowdy.
They sat tiredly on a bench, in the locker room.
"Isn't Tom Hudson no longer coming?"
Ava whispered to Tisa eagerly.
"I don't know." She replied, after gulping a bottle of water.
Suddenly, they heard people shouting.
"Omg, I think that's him!!" Ava thought joyfully.
She stood up and left the locker room.
Her heart melted in happiness when she saw the popular, movie star Tom Hudson, coming straight to her!
His shirtless body exposed his broad chest and his perfectly molded abs.
Ava went speechless.
"Good afternoon ma'am."
"Good afternoon." Ava blushed.
"Could you show me the male locker room?" He said.
"Oh, yeah, it's right there," Ava replied, pointing to the Male Locker Room.
"Alright, thanks." He replied, walking away.
Ava's cheeks turned red.
"Tom Hudson...... just spoke to me?"
"Alright guys, we are moving to the third scene...Revise your scripts, wear your costumes. Mr. Tom Hudson is around." Mr. John announced.
The studio became very noisy. Ava smiled and went back to the locker room to change her clothes.
************************************
Mia sat on the couch in the sitting room. Memories of her good times with Cade flooded her mind.
"Funny how things happen."
"Hello, darling," Ava said, suddenly appearing.
"Oh, you're home?" Mia asked.
"I should be asking you that."
"New Doctors are to come home at normal closing hours on their first day at TMC, that's why I'm home, ma'am."
"Oh"
"Welcome. Where did you keep your phone? I called you earlier." Mia said.
"Really? I was busy with work."
"Okay, guess who I met at TMC today....as my department head," Mia said.
"Who? You know him before?"
"Just guess. Someone you don't even expect." She replied.
"Someone I don't expect? Who could that possibly be? Our primary school teacher??"
Mia laughed.
"Wrong."
"Uhh... I don't know. You know I sulk at this. Just talk?
"Cade."
"Cade? I only know one person that bears that name and please tell me it's not him.
"It's him." Mia snapped.
Ava laughed.
"Your joke is gross, Mia. I'm not even touched by it. I know you're joking, let me gist you about my day with Tom Hudson." She replied as she dropped her bag and sat.
"I'm serious Ava. Do I look like I'm cracking a joke?" Mia replied, folding her arms.
"Cade Williams works at TMC?? Jeez." Ava exclaimed, realistically.
"Honestly. Was so shocked when I saw him. Don't even know if I'll cope. And it was really hard to get this job."
"Can't you guys just talk it out or something?"
"Talk it out? After everything?"
"It's been 3 years now Mia."
"I'm aware."
"What even happened? You just told me you don't want to talk about it that day. And that was all. I decided not to talk about it again too."
Mia sighed.
"You really wanna hear?"
Ava nodded.
"Alright, it was a cool Saturday morning."
"Go straight to the point."
Mia ignored her and continued.
"Aunt Perera sent me on an errand and...."
"And your cloth was stained by mistake and you didn't know and he lent you his coat and bla bla blah.."
"Yes...how'd you remember all of that?"
"How won't I? You always talked about it then. Just jump to how the fight happened...that's the part I want to hear."
"I went to his house one afternoon, I was seriously tired and hungry."
"Okay?"
"Knocked on his door but didn't hear any sound so just assumed he wasn't home." Mia paused and continued.
"As I was about to leave, I heard footsteps from inside so I decided to hide. I thought it was him and I wanted to scare him for making me think he wasn't home. The footsteps became clearer and it turned out to be his father."
"Eww."
"His father doesn't like me because of our background."
Ava nodded.
"It was too late, I had already jumped before I realized it was his father."
"Wait.. what? You jumped on someone's dad?" Ava burst out laughing.
"This is not a joke. I didn't know it was him."
Ava laughed louder and louder, almost falling off the chair.
"Are you a bird? Like.. you flew on someone's dad.. this is so funny."
"Enough, Ava. It's not like I flew. I just jumped and I even fell immediately because of the shock.'' Mia explained.
"Okay, go on"
"When he saw me, he got very angry and sent me away instantly."
"Okay, that was the day you were moody and told me Cade's father sent you away."
"Yes. So I gave him a phone call. I thought he would apologize on behalf of his dad but he didn't. He started telling me stuffs like... I've always warned you about this childish behavior, you're too immature, and so on. I tried to explain but he didn't even hear me out. He ended up hanging up on me."
"Wow," Ava said.
"Wow??" Mia scowled.
"Yep, wow."
We didn't talk for days and I tried forgetting about him but that was just..impossible. I called and called, texted on all social medias but he didn't reply any.
The next time we met, it was another Saturday. I was just on a walk. I think he was too. I wanted to talk to him but he just walked out like... We were strangers. I was so pained."
"No, that's bad," Ava said, wearing a serious look for the first time since they started the discussion.
"I was so hurt and decided to leave him alone. Maybe he needed time. The next time I saw him... Was this morning."
"That's... Serious."
"Very."
"But what could have caused it?"
"I can't think of anything."
