4. Meeting Him.

Mia stepped into the office.
It was huge and spacious. The walls were painted blue and white. Charts of the body's neurology system were hung on the wall.

There were five seats for visitors and an average-looking man sat on the one nearest to Cade.

The man looked thin and malnutritioned. His face was pale and his hair was unkempt. He looked sick.

"Have your seat," Cade said without looking at her.

She was busy admiring the office so she didn't bother looking at him.

She then sat on one of the seats. "So I'm going to have my own office.... sick people would come to me for help too? Awww, that'll be lovely." She thought happily.

"What are your symptoms?" Cade asked the man, folding his arms.

"Sir, I always don't feel like eating." The man mumbled feebly.

"Ok, that's a loss of appetite, go on," Cade responded, removing his pen from his pocket.

"When I'm walking, I feel very tired."

"Body weakness, proceed."

"My stomach aches now and then."

"Stomach upset? What else?"

"I think my temperature can cook food."

"Oh.. high temperature, is that all your symptoms?" Cade asked, removing his pen from his breast pocket.

"Yes." The man answered tiredly, resting his head on the table.

"Alright, I'm going to prescribe some drugs. We'll treat you for typhoid." Cade replied as he wrote down some things on a plain sheet of paper.

The man nodded.

"Go to the nurse in the next room and she'll take you to the pharmacy." He finalized, handing over the paper to him.

"Thanks, Doctor. The man said. He slowly collected the paper and wiggled out of the office.

"New Doctor? Cade said, standing up.

"Yes, sir, I was told to come and meet you to show me my.......Cade???"

He then looked up at her, surprised that she called him by his name.

"Mia??" He replied.

They stared at each other for a while until Cade finally broke the silence.

"Funny how we met again, here. Dr. Mia," he said, still looking at her.

Mia tried to smile but she failed.
"What the hell could Cade Williams of all people, be doing here? Cade Williams?"
She thought in awe.

Cade stretched his hands for a handshake but Mia refused.

"Oh, I guess you are still finding this hard to believe." He said. He dropped his hand and reached for his coat which was hung on one side of the wall. He then wore it and sat.

"Please....just show me my office." Mia stammered.

He brought an old notebook and glanced through it.

"Go to the office beside VIP Ward Four." He replied.

Mia nodded and turned to go.

"Mia." He called.
She looked back at him.

"I'm sure you have an Identity Card already?"

"Yes,"

"It should be on your neck always."

"laughing my ass out. So he bosses me around now? Mia thought.

"Thank you." She managed to say.

She walked out of the office and slammed the door.

"Why is Cade here? Cade? As a boss?"

"Need anything? A young lady questioned. She wore a black tight gown that hugged her body and didn't reach her knees. There were tiny openings on the chest area of the gown that revealed her breasts.
The red lipstick on her lips made her look like a vampire that just devoured its prey.

"Am I not talking to you?" The lady asked rudely.

"That's none of your business." Mia fired back, walking out on her.

"Seriously? Don't these people know who I am? Where are they bringing them from? Urgh!" The lady said to herself as she entered Cade's office.

"Chloe? What are you doing here? And just what in the world are you wearing?" Cade asked angrily.

"Why are you suddenly getting mad? I came to greet Dad and I decided to say hi to you. Or can't a sister come to see her elder brother? She said as she sat on the seats for patients, making sure it made a sound.

"Chloe?" Cade called furiously.

Chloe was Cade's younger sister. The last child of the Williams family. Their father, Prof. Williams was the owner of TMC.

"I'm not saying you shouldn't come here but why as you dressed like this? You'd scare the patients. You look like a part-time witch." He said folding his arms.

"You've never appreciated my dressing before," Chloe muttered sadly.

"Yes, because it isn't worthy of being appreciated," Cade replied bluntly.

"Cade, you don't know what fashion is." She said, eyeing her brother mischievously.

"This isn't fashion. This is madness." Cade fired back.

Chloe was fed up.
"This isn't going to get any better. See you at home." She said and left.

Cade felt so ashamed to look at her.

"When will this girl grow up? I keep telling her that a hospital is a serious place. Who would come to a hospital, dressed like this? Just who?" He thought angrily

He then remembered Mia.

The next chapter will be out soon.
Love y'all🦋
