Chapter 21
•day 42•
I opened my eyes to see that Marry was on the floor, sprawled out. Her face looked less red and she looked cooled down.
"Marry?" I asked, and Marry sat up.
"What is it Liz?" Marry replied, looking around.
When she glanced at me, she gasped.
"What happened?!" Marry asked, shocked.
"We tried to escape and I got held up by my hair and Jax went on a murder rampage." I said, informing Marry on what she missed.
My hands were tied up to the bed and I couldn't move.
Her eyes widened in shock and she looked over at Jax, who was tied down to the bed as well.
"Jax!" Marry shouted, clumsily walking over to him.
"Hey Marry, how are you feeling?" Jax asked, smiling comfortingly.
"I'm ok, what about you?! You're all tied up!" Marry shouted, pulling at the rope.
"I'm fine." Jax said, reassuring her.
Marry kept pulling at the rope and managed to make it somewhat looser.
Just then, knocking could be heard at the door.
"Good morning, my children!" Dr. Kim said, smiling weirdly.
"What's so good about it?" Jax asked, angrily.
"Hmm, maybe the fact that the test results are in." Dr Kim said, giving off a little giggle.
"Marry, your results were very straightforward." Dr. Kim said, turning to Marry.
She handed her a envelope with her name on it and I noticed 2 others with our names on it, as well as some packets.
Marry frowned, but read the results. She smiled slightly, as she was happy with them.
Then Dr. Kim turned to me, whispering.
"And this is for Marry, but you'll read it, as not to upset her tiny 10 year old brain." She said, and my eyes widened.
"She's ten?" I whispered back.
"Of course, I mean, look at her height and behavior. Its obvious she skipped a couple of grades." Dr. Kim said, smiling as she placed the packet on the only desk in the room.
"For you, Jax. We are quite shocked to find that you've never taken a test before and had to of had the help of Lizabeth, but your results are in as well. I think you'll like the outcome. I know that Dr. Franklin's one didn't go so well, so we'll tweak with it, just a tad." Dr. Kim said, moving away from my bed side and walking over to Jax.
She untied his hands and chest and let him sit up and look at his results. His hands were shaking after he was done reading it. He put his head in his shaking hands and sadly sighed.
"Unfortunately for you, miss Lizabeth. Your results are inconclusive." Dr. Kim said, standing at my side.
"What does that mean?" Marry asked, worry filled her eyes as she looked at me.
"Well, that means that she has to take the test again to figure out what she is." Dr. Kim said, giving me a weird smile.
