Just then, Jax woke up and looked at the scene before him. He had blood dripping down his nose and his forehead was scratched. He looked down, his black hair covering his eyes, a drop of blood fell from his nose. He chuckled, but not in the friendly way. He staggered a step closer to us and I heard the guard gulp.

"What did I F*cking say.....about touching my girls." He said, protectively, still looking down.

I looked over to see Dr. Kim writing things into her notebook, probably about Jax.

The guard sneered at Jax and laughed. He pulled me by my hair, lifting me off the ground. I cried out in pain as tears fell from my eyes.

I grabbed Marry from behind me and held her in front of me. I clung to her and made sure she didn't fall as the pain from my hair grew.

"Jax!" I started, only to have the guard move and more pain came to my head.

"You want her, you black haired freak?! Come and get her." The guard taunted.

Faster than I could blink, Jax was next to the guard and he make him drop me and Marry. Marry snuggled up to me and shivered.

"Shh, its ok baby. I'm here. You Lizzy's here." I said, petting her hair, and she whimpered. She soon drifted back to an uneasy sleep, her head still really warm.

"Get out of here." Jax said, still holding the guard by the hand.

"Jax, I'm not going to leave you. We're in this together." I said, giving him a comforting smile.

He gave me a glance before turning back to the guard.

"Hand me your f*cking jacket, mother f*cker." Jax said to the guard.

"Over my dead body, you d*mn demon." The guard said, spitting on Jax's face.

"Your f*cking choice." He said, and he gestured for me and Marry to look away.

I put Marry's face again my chest and gently put my head over hers. I embraced the small kid and made sure she didn't hear the cracking sound of the guards head being kicked repeatedly.

Suddenly, something tried to touch me and Marry.

I snapped at it with my teeth and I bit down, protecting Marry with my life. The guard screamed in pain and I bit down harder. He tried to hit me, but Jax punched him in the back, making him let me go. I clutched onto Marry and stroked her hair as me and Jax got ready.

I noticed Jax getting tired and I felt my strength leaving me too.

"Jax?" I asked, quietly.

He slowly nodded and he lowered his fists.

Dr. Kim personally walked over to us and tried to take Marry. I backed away from her and she recoiled.

"Follow me, and I won't kill any of you, my children." She said, pulling on my hand, and I pulled away once more.

"Dr. Adelinde." I called for, and Jax leaned on my shoulder.

"Dr. A, take them in, please. And you, guards. I need to have a word with you." Dr. Kim said, letting Dr. Adelinde come over.

I still held onto Marry and Jax still leaned on me as we headed back inside the facility.

My spirits were crushed. No more hope.

'We failed. We're never going to escape.' I thought, glumly.

"Liz.." Marry called out in her sleep.

"Marry?" I asked, as Marry opened her eyes slowly.

"Liz, I'm cold." She said, shivering.

"I know, it's just a fever. I'll be here to take care of you." I said, smiling to reassure her.

She cutely smiled and nestled into my flat chest and tried to get warm. I cuddled her close to me and soon, we reached the room.

As soon as a bed was close, Jax stumbled off of me and fell onto it and passed out.

I set Marry in my bed and grabbed several blankets and placed them on the bed.

I pulled the empty bed into my '''cell''' and laid next to her and soon fell asleep myself, not knowing how bad things would get.
