"Felix I swear to God if you don't stop this nonsense-"

"What? What will you do? Huh!? Tell me! Show me that you have the guts!" Felix screams back at his father.

"GET OUT! Get out of this house now." Mr. Lee pants out and points to the door. Felix gives his father the middle finger, grabs his jacket, and exits the house. Slamming the door.

Felix walks along the sidewalk, the sky gets darker and darker until it was pitch black. Felix finds himself standing outside the convenience store from last time. He looks through the window to see if Amelia was working tonight. To his luck, she was.

"Hey Felix."

"Hey." He walks over to the check-out counter and jumps up onto the marble slab.

"Normally I would push you off, but something is wrong. What's up?" Amelia leans her elbows on the counter and looks at the boy expectantly. Felix sighs.

"My dad is being a fucking asshole again."

"Fair enough."

"Ahah, anyways...we were having dinner and I was trying to talk normally about me leaving back for Korea and finishing my studies there-"

"Wait, you're leaving? I thought you were staying here." Felix shakes his head.

"No, I only came out here for my mom's trial..."

"Oh..well, continue with your story."

"Alright, so I kept bringing up the fact that –like I said before– I came back here for the trial, but now that it's over, I can leave. He kept saying no, and that I was being childish."

"So basically he's forcing you to stay here."

"Yeah and it's utter bullshit."

"Can't disagree with you there. How long does he want you to stay?"

"Honestly, I don't think he wants me to leave...like ever."

"Hmmm...Well I have an idea. Let me fully think of it, so you go and grab some snacks for us. It's 1 am and I doubt that anyone else will be coming in here."

"Alright, I'll go wander the store and grab some good shit."

"Oh my god just go." Felix laughs and begins walking the aisles looking for doritos and sodas. He calls across the store.

"YOU WANT POCKY AND RAMUNE?"

"SURE!"

"Cool." He whispers to himself and grabs the snacks. He comes back with a basket full of goodies. "Here we are."

"Nice."

"Finish your idea yet?"

"Yeah, I think so..." Amelia says grabbing a pocky packet and taking one out. Felix pops open his Ramune as he waits for her to finish. "I was thinking, bargain with him-" Felix scoffs and Amelia sends him a glare.

"Sorry, sorry. Continue."

"Anyways...bargain with him. Give him a deal.."

"What deal though?"

"Already thought of that. Tell him that you'll stay for the rest of senior year, which is only a few months. But go back to Korea for graduation."

"Ok but I graduate before my friends do."

"That's why you go back for their graduation. A celebration surprise."

"Ok, and then what? Come back here?"

"Oh heavens no. As much as me and the boys would love that, this place isn't your home anymore. Your home is with your cousin and your boyfriend and everyone else. So just stay there. Keep in touch with us please, but you wouldn't need to come back. Go to college in Korea...would your dad agree to that?"

"Only one way to find out." Felix sighs and takes a swig from his soda. The two teenagers continue to talk throughout the night, until Amelia's shift is over and Felix needs to go home...at 3:30 am.

Felix enters his house quietly, making sure to sneak into his room as quickly as possible. Sure, his dad forced him out but Felix still wasn't sure how angry he was.

He gets changed into his PJ's and logs into his phone, going to text Amelia, knowing she was probably awake.

Felix:
Ok can we further this plan...actually Imma add my aunt, i can translate for you both because she doesn't know much english but I think she ought to know

Amelia:
Sounds good asshat

Felix:
Ok adding her you fucktruck

Felix has added "Auntie"

Auntie:
What's this?

Felix:
It's a groupchats

Amelia:
What?

Felix:
Im telling her it's a chat. Imma explain auntie the plan ok?

Amelia:

Felix:
Me and my friend Amelia here are planning on sending me to Korea to surprise the guys on graduation then I plan on staying in korea

Auntie:
That sounds wonderful! I'll help out

Amelia:
What'd she say?

Felix:
She says it's a good idea and that she's gonna help us

Amelia:

Auntie:
Felix who is this girl ?

Felix:
This is Amelia, she's gonna help us

Amelia:

Felix:
Sorry, I was introducing you to her...anyways, I will talk to dad about it (imma tell dad)

Auntie:
I'll also talk to him. Should I tell Minho?

Felix:
No I wanna keep it a surprise- actually tell nayeon
Amelia, she's also gonna talk to my dad, since they're siblings. And we're gonna tell my oldest friend, the one in college

Amelia:
Oh yeah, Nayeon right?

Felix:
Yeah him, so she can help us out there. We can talk more later but I'm tired and we have school tomorrow. Night (it's late and i have school tomorrow, so let's talk later. Night)

Amelia:
Night

Auntie:
Night

Felix turns on a podcast and lies down into his bed, finally ready to sleep.

Felix wakes up the next day and goes ahead with school like normal. During lunch both him and Amelia tell their friends about the plan to get him back to Korea.

"Felix, that's a great plan, I really mean it...but this is your dad we're talking about..." Mikey speaks up after Felix is done explaining things.

"Yeah, I know...that's why my aunt is gonna talk to him as well."

"Will that be enough?" Josh adds.

"One way to find out." Felix sighs and everyone finishes their lunch in silence.

Felix enters his house at around 6 pm, coming into the kitchen to see his dad making pasta.

"Hey dad." Felix says, sitting down at the table. His father serves dinner and joins him.

"Hi, how was your day?"

"Good, I had a math quiz today."

"How do you think you did?"

"I think I did well for the most part. I actually want to talk to you about something else though." Felix keeps his eyes on his plate, the plan was good in thought, but the execution was hard.

"Alright then, tell me." His father eats in silence so Felix can talk.

"I was talking to Amelia the other day, and uh...basically I graduate before Minho and the others do. So I was thinking that, as their graduation present, I would go and stay for their graduation and celebrate with them-"

"And come back here?"

"That's the thing...I like it here, of course I do..it's where I grew up and made so many good memories, but I left for a reason. Australia isn't my home anymore dad, this building isn't my home anymore. My home is back in Korea with Auntie and Minho and everyone else. Basically, after the celebration...I won't be coming back..not permanently at least..I will stay in Korea to finish my studies in college...I want to go back home." Felix lets it all out to his father, the plan and what he was thinking came spilling out before he could stop himself. Mr. Lee sighs and wipes his mouth with his napkin. Placing down his fork, he speaks.

"I know Felix. I know that this isn't home for you anymore. I know you don't want to be here. And I know that I'm just being selfish...your aunt called me about the same thing last night. I agree. I think it would be good if you went back to Korea. Sure, we will all miss you here, but it's what you want. I realize that I'm controlling and prone to anger, but I love. I really do love you. I can grant your wish."

"Thank you dad. Thank you so so so much. I love you too." Felix is still looking at this plate, but instead of worry, he feels happy. Happy that his father is letting him go back home.
