✧. Cecilia Kjartansdóttir was never one to make fun of, because she always fought back. Being the daughter of Kjartan once filled her with pride and joy, but after he betrayed Earl Ragnar the fearless, all she felt was shame, betrayal and heartbreak.

Heartbreak because she knew she lost her friend Uhtred and most importantly - her best friend Brida. Shame because she was the daughter of a man who killed nearly a whole family and all because the Earl was angry at Sven for harassing his daughter. And betrayal because she never would've thought that her father was able to do such a cruel thing.

Now she was living with fear, sadness and anger. Not only had her father killed people, but he also kidnapped Thyra, her once beloved friend. Now Thyra wouldn't even look at her, even though Cecilia had nothing to do with the actions of her father. All Cecilia had done for the last years was apologising to Thyra, but she couldn't break down her walls. Thyra remained angry at her and Cecilia accepted it.

Cecilia also thought that Uhtred and Brida were angry at her, but what she didn't know was that they were secretly looking for her as well as for Thyra. Cecilia's only rock was her half-brother Sihtric. Sihtric had always been there for her and always made sure that she was safe and happy. They loved each other immensely and he hoped, that one day they would flee Dunholm together. Together as siblings.

Surprise - a new TLK fanfic. Who would've thought, that I find the motivation to write a fanfic again? Me? Nah, never would've thought that. Not after I let my other fanfics down..I'm still so sorry for that!
