Chapter 3

"No!" Gladion shouted. Guzma smirked at the boy, but it wasn't his usual smirk. It was more...insane, more unpredictable. Gladion ignored this and sent out Type:Null to take him down and save (Y/N). However Guzma dodged and attacked Type:Null himself. The Pokemon was quickly beat to the point where Gladion would be surprised if it was even still alive. Guzma then stood, the smirk never leaving his face as he turned to Gladion. He extended his hand toward (Y/N) and snapped, signaling the Ultra Beasts to finish (Y/N). Her screams of pain filled his ears. "No....why.....this isn't right." He shouted, trying to block out the blood curdling sound. Soon the scream died and Gladion noticed Guzma seem to just, appear in front of him. The smirk on his face told Gladion what he mad man was going to do..."Mar!"

Gladion woke up with a start. Moonlight gently came in though the window. A small Pokemon was knocked off of Gladion when he suddenly sat up. "Marshaad..." The Pokemon groaned. Gladion took a couple seconds before he got his head together. "Sorry Marshadow." Gladion said as the small Pokemon claimed back onto his bed. They stayed silent for a moment. "Mar marshad?" Marshadow asked. "Yeah...but it was different this time. It wasn't the memory. It was twisted...Guzma was twisted." Gladion said. Marshadow looked at him worriedly. Then Gladion noticed a shift in the moonlight only to see a man walk by. The man turned his head slightly and when his eyes met Gladion's they filled with panic. Gladion filled with rage quickly. "Marshadow..." He said. The man began running. "Get him!" Marshadow quickly opened the window and and went after him. Gladion climbed through next and followed. "Guzma!" He shouted. Marshadow used shadow sneak to get in front of Guzma to stop him. Guzma tried to turn and run a different direction but the mud from all the rain made him slip and fall. Gladion quickly caught up and stood in front to Guzma as he stood up. There was a silence as everyone caught their breath from the running. "Well if it isn't little Gladion. Been a bit hasn't it?" Guzma said "Why where you around (Y/N)'s house?" Gladion asked sternly. "I was walking by! You ask that as if I'm going to murder you and your girlfriend in your sleep for crying out loud!" Guzma shouted back. "Because you would gladly do that!" Gladion shouted. "The only reason I'm still in Alola is because I've been remembering memories that aren't even mine!" Guzma shouted. "These Ultra Wormholes are messing with my head and replacing (Y/N) with a completely different person! Even changing some of the memories entirely! So sorry if I'm intruding on you territory Lycanroc! I'm just trying to fix my head!" Guzma finished his rant and began to walk away. Gladion was to confused to stop him.

"It wasn't just a dream?" He asked Marshadow as they began to walk back to the house. "Guzma makes it sound like the memories themselves are changing." To a sense Gladion thought that Guzma might be right. After all, now that Gladion thought back on it, he couldn't remember the memory any differently than the dream. He only knew it was wrong because both he and (Y/N) where still alive. His only question was if this did actually have anything to do with the Ultra Wormholes. After all, this never happened before when Ultra Wormholes opened. Gladion began to feel increasingly tired, his body screamed at him to stop, go to sleep. Even though the tiredness was catching up, he knew he had to keep going. He didn't realize how tired he was when chasing Guzma. Gladion stopped for a second to try and get his head together. He looked up for a second only to see someone very familiar looking back at him. "Me?" He asked himself and shook his head almost violently. It woke him up a bit and he looked back up only to see no one. "Marshadow was someone there?" He asked his Pokémon friend. Marshadow looked confused, and just as tired as Gladion was. "Let's get home before we both pass out...."

Sorry for the shorter chapter.
