Who am I?

Proud

Confident

Intelligent

Beautiful.

But markedly,

Those traits are easily

Seen

In thousands beside me.

Notably,

I somehow still differ

From them.

Who am I?

Why, don't you know?

I'm the girl in the front

Of the class, pencil ready,

Straight-backed.

I'm the girl that talks a bit much

But to everyone,

And not all at once.

I'm the girl

That everyone knows

But no one turns to,

That everyone sees

But no one notices,

That everyone likes

But no one is friends with.

I'm the girl

That people envy for grades,

Attitude,

And wit,

But, clearly—

I'm not popular.
