Hi everyone this is my street racing story (complete fiction of course)

Thanks to Den1212 and AnonymousHashiriya for writing their stories which in turn had inspired me to write this.

Italics indicates a persons thoughts (it is written with context telling the reader who it is in mind)

Anything between [ ] indicates texting/E-mail

I will try to answer everybody's questions (especially about who is thinking in a scene)

This story currently takes place in the USA (I will tell you when the countries change)

All specific places and most names are fictional.

In the real world drive safely and follow all traffic laws.

Thanks to @WhenYourStarstuck (seriously you are the very very best cover maker and awesome pal) for making me the amazing cover that replaced my basically non-existent and absolutely unprofessional one. Oh and I kinda have an update schedule now (more on that later)

Chapter 4

When the 6 cars got to the meeting point Laura had walked over to Fumihiro's car determined to have a question answered, "WERE YOU THE A*SHOLE IN THE MIATA 18 MONTHS AGO?!" to which Fumihiro replied, "yeah, you may not notice it but you are seriously getting much faster each time we race. Your rate of improvement no joke at all" Nino had walked up to them after pulling into the parking lot and had said, "You 2 are very fast, but you have a little more experience in wheel to wheel racing, I suggest racing in the Clash of the Classics series" to which the 2 had replied with, "YOU THINK OUR CARS ARE OLD P.O.Ss?!" As the rest of the cars had pulled in (albeit terrified of Mount Hemmingway now) Nino and everyone else had went back to their cars and headed out to the Highway. Once everyone was up to cruising speed Nino had announced over the radio, "ok here is the first Kanjo-sen type loop, to enter the loop take the second exit because the first entrance is more of an on ramp and isn't ideal for entering the loop. If you want to enter any of the loop tracks always enter from the last entrance" all the cars had entered the loop and were surprised at how long the actual corner was before they had gotten onto the second straight of the first loop (later referred to as L1). Here the Z28, M2, RS5, 911 Turbo S, Genesis Coupe, and Foxbody Mustang were able to finally stretch their legs with no real fear that a corner was going to come rushing up to them out of the blue. The MK7 Golf R, Finnegan, Aleksandr, and Chris were giving them a run for their money while the 944, Fumihiro, Laura, and Sean unfortunately didn't have enough power to give chase and Nino had monitored all of them with a careful eye on the lookout for a potential wrong swerve into traffic that could end the day for all of them and giving out callouts when such mis-swerves were about to occur. All of a sudden a BMW i8 with a Banshee scream uncharacteristic for any i8 followed by a Nissan R34 GTR, Nissan Skyline Coupe, Dodge Viper, Toyota Supra, Honda S2000, Mazda RX-7 FD3S flew past the entire group (A/N: JL YooHoo again!)

Nino

Jesus Christ those guys are fast but I can tell some of them are more prepped for the Touge than the Highway and that i8 sounds like it has a V12 in it not the normal I3 turbo Hybrid i8s are packing and their Aura is completely different from Nico's, Olivia's, and mine and Max's Aura is similar to theirs but weaker...

Slowly the Z28 and the 911 Turbo S ran away from the others and at the same time Finnegan and Aleksandr are now glued to the bumpers of the M2, the RS5, the Foxbody, and the Genesis Coupe. As the 2 Subarus were able to get in the middle of the faster group the end of the Megaloop's straight ended and the long winding corner had marked the transition to the Megaloop's second straight (and coincidentally back to the start of the Highway) Aleks and Finnegan were able to slowly catch up to the Z28 and the 911 Turbo S thanks to their cars being setup to be able to corner at higher speeds than the 2 in front, but losing to them in the straights because of the massive power difference and the fact that the 2 Subarus prioritize acceleration over raw top speed.

Aleksandr

We aren't that far off from "HotRod" (Camaro Z28) and John (911 Turbo S), when they pull away we maintain the same distance from them and in the turns we just eat up that space until the next straight comes up. If we want to win against them all we need is a scramble boost setting so we can temporarily turn up the boost and truly give them a run for their money

Finnegan

Hah HotRod look who's as fast with half the cylinders huh?! There are replacements for displacement, those are boost and an increased redline!

Nino had radioed to everyone, "ok everyone head back to The Racer's Ridge"

Once everyone was back at the Hotel Lindsey had greeted them with a buffet and said, "Dinner is on us as thanks for coming and spending your time doing this. You can eat in the dining area or talk in the parking lot". Once everyone got their food Nino had approached Fumihiro and Laura, "So have you considered my offer of racing in The Clash of the Classics?" The 2 had responded with, "Yeah, but we don't have cars that can participate"

Nino had an answer, "Don't worry I have 1 car race prepped and I can find another car to race prep, Laura are you ok with using a RWD car for the race?"

Fumihiro had inquired with, "what is the car that is ready?"

While Laura had interjected with, "yes I can get used to it and fine tune it if time allows"

Nino had answered, "Fumihiro your car is NA 13B swapped RX-3 pushing out 200 hp"

Sean had heard the 3 and had entered the conversation, "hey are you guys planning on racing in the Clash of the Classics race? Because I plan on debuting with my 260Z"

Laura had answered with, "yeah, Fumihiro has a car but Nino will supply me with another car"

Sean had asked, "do you want to enter in the 5 lap sprint race or the full 15 lap race? Because I will race in both"

"Both"

"Easy, both races!"

Nino had said, "now that that is settled I guess we will see each other in a month at Rainey Motorsports Park then" Nino and Sean had walked away leaving Fumihiro and Laura to talk. Eventually the topic of racing came up, "so when did you first start racing Fumihiro?"

He had replied with, "when I was 9 I had started karting and continued until I left Japan when I was 14, you?"

"Definitely not as impressive as you, I had an interest in racing but didn't actually start until I was 17 whereas my brother was racing when he got his license and last year he got the RS as a present"

Fumihiro

To think that she has the racing ability to keep up with me (to a degree) with only about a years worth of experience... incredible it truly is impressive.

Laura had continued questioning Fumihiro, "We usually race each other daily and the result usually ends up with me outdragging you on the "true straight" but about 1 year ago you started outdragging me there so what gives?"

Fumihiro had answered with, "yeah the stock power from the MX5 is rather lacking on this course even with the best driver in the world, you can tailgate other cars but you can't pass them and at the true straight it is all over, and Forced Induction is too risky especially considering how hot cars can get on this course so the natural solution was to engine swap it to a more capable powerplant"

Laura had asked, "may I see it?"

Fumihiro had said, "sure"

The 2 had walked over to the parking lot and everyone but Finnegan, Aleksandr, and Chris had left. As Fumihiro had opened the hood of his MX5 everyone had gathered around wondering what was going on. When everyone had peered into the engine bay of the MX5 a B16B had stared right back at them.

Laura,"woah, how much power?"

Aleksandr, "seeing as it is a Honda motor I must ask what you have set the redline to"

The other 3 were speechless and Fumihiro had answered the 2 questions, "215 hp and 10.5K rpm redline" (A/N: Spoon no joke was able to get a stock EK9 Type R revving up to 11K rpm with just a brace for the engine)

This now left everyone speechless

Aleksandr

Power figures as high as a K series and running a redline much higher than anyone I know running a K series would dare touch, he must have an experienced tuner helping him, and he knows how to use it, now that I think about it he probably isn't going at 100% tonight or even maxing out the potential of himself or his car, at his full potential he's gonna be a monster...

Fumihiro had broken the silence with, "since all of us are more familiar with Mount Hemmingway than the other students and most of us are working on the Impreza why don't we work as a team, like a race team?"

Laura had replied, "Sure I think it's a great idea, we can setup the Impreza's suspension here"

Aleksandr had chipped in as well, "If we are going to have to chase big power then we can test the effectiveness of our cooling systems"

Fumihiro had chipped in, "plus we are all more experienced with Mount Hemmingway so we can also help each other get faster here"

Everyone had agreed to joining the team

Chris, "great now that that's settled why don't we decide when we meet and practice with each other?"

Fumihiro had thought about this for a moment and replied, "oh what about Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday? And we can meet up here if we agree to some other time"

Finnegan had now asked, "why those days?"

Fumihiro had answered, "1 wednesday is in the middle of the week so we can share info/practice here as a team in case we need to and 2 the weekends are obvious"

Laura had wondered, "where will we meet,here?"

Fumihiro had responded with, "you answered your own question..."

As everyone was headed towards their car Fumihiro had yelled, "so are we meeting on Wednesday?" as a confirmation and then they all went home.

Ok so my new "schedule" is that I HAVE to update within 1 week of when @WhenYourStarstruck updates so go follow her to get a ball park of when I update (don't worry I will still update separately from that) and she has a cover shop open so a dual bonus if you follow her (seriously just follow her please)
