Chapter 9

Yep. I guess we're doomed.

Apollo- er, dad- was in a grass skirt and flower crown. Not to mention the shoes he had propped on the table. Well, at least he took them down when we sat down.

I sat next to William, with Silas and Natalie across from us, and dad at the head.

We sat in silence before William decided to break it. "We need a plan. I've been thinking and maybe we should pretend to not be on a team. Spread out more."

"Well, the only problem," Silas replied, "Is that we won't be able to help each other in an emergency."

"We could work it out. If maybe you and Natalie stay together, me and Will should be able to take care of ourselves," I said. Silas looked slightly hurt, but nodded along with Natalie.

Apollo took this as his time to speak. "Well, I raised some smart kids. How am I so awesome? So we got that figured out, I'll be leaving."

"Don't you dare," I said, before realizing he could kill me in an instant without anybody being able to do anything about it.

I was just about to apologize when he let out a giant laugh, and William glared.
"Is this just a game to you? Well, I guess it is, cause you won't lose anything."
Apollo looked between him and me, "You're right. I won't lose anything, because you guys are gonna win. We're the best team, and I believe that. Just remember, Zeus mainly uses lightning, so get them in water, or in a dry land. Hades likes darkness, I expect just blind em or something. Poseidon can only use his powers near water, so make sure they don't have access. My twin, the stupidly boring Artemis can only shoot you or bore you to death. And I guess the others don't matter. And with witches and wizards, snap their wands. Simple and easy."

Yep. Way to go and make it sound easy, I thought, cause this game is anything but simple.

(SORRY FOR SHORT CHAP BUT AT LEAST ITS SOMETHING)
