You grab your purse as you yell down stairs.

"I'm coming, I'm coming!"

You wedge your feet into your stilleto heels, and hurry down the stairs as fast as you can without falling on your face on the way down.

You stop at the mirror to do a once over on your outfit and look.

Hair. Check, dress that accentuates your assets. Check, makeup. Looking good not to bold, a nice Suttle smokey eye with a light gloss. Check.

"Come on Y/N, you look hot. Now let's gooooo!" Jess pulls you out the door of your dorms.

Jess pulls the back seat forward so you can squeeze into the back of Hannah's Audi TT.

"Why do I have to sit in the back, I'm the birthday girl" you say as you struggle to put your feet In.

"Cause I called shotgun!" Jess says confidentiality.

You roll your eyes and chuckle a bit. Jessica has always been this way since you both were kids. Sometimes you question why she's your friend, but you have always known her. Every school you went to she was there. And when you got accepted into university, you thought you'd finally be free of her. But then she got accepted too.

She's honestly not that bad of a friend. She's just more self centered. You blame her parents for spoiling her so much.

Hannah, puts the car in drive and pulls out of the university, and into the city.

Jess changes the song on the radio to Beyoncé and single ladies starts to blare out of the speakers.

"All the single ladies, all the single ladies" Hannah and Hess sing to the top of their lungs. You laugh but end up joining along.

You don't really know Hannah that well. Only that she is Jessica's roommate at the sorority house.

Jess tried to get you to join, but being a frat girl was not one of your life goals. Jess however has her life all planned out. Finish college meet a wealthy rich doctor who's barely home, so she can shop to her hearts content and have a million spa days and wine mixers with her booshy friends.

Hannah speaks interrupting your train of thought.

"We're here!" She calls out as she pulls into the night club parking lot.

You look up at the sign from the small back window

You internally grown, as clubbing is not really your thing. You'd rather sit at home and read a book, or cuddle into a warm blanket and watch Kdramas. But Jess wouldn't take no for an answer, and insisted she take you out for your birthday.

"Come on birthday girl" Jess says helping you out of the back seat.

You crawl out, and adjust your dress smoothing out the sequins as Hannah locks the car.

You all walk towards the club and you start to head to the back of the long line out front.

"Where are you going silly?" Jess asks you.

"To the back of the line" you say confused at her question.

"We're V.I.P. we have reservations. Come on" She says all snooty

"Of course you do" you mumble as you roll my eyes.

You make it to the door, and Jess is already talking to the security guard. She mentions her reservation and the guy checks the clipboard and then opens the velvet rope.

"Right this way" He says in a deep voice that matches his six foot bulky frame.

You make your way into the club hearing the loud thumping bass. It's so loud you can feel it in your throat. The dim lights mixed with the Lazer lights moving to the beat of the music, make for the perfect club atmosphere.

You follow Jess to a booth that has a reserved sign. It has Jessica's name on it.

"Here's our table!" Jess says.
You look at the booth seeing some balloons hanging on either side of the booth. Confetti is sprinkled all over the table, and some party hats and noise makers.

"I asked for the birthday package" Jess says yelling in your ear.

She draps a happy birthday sash over your head.

"This is for you" She says before she turns to put a party hat on herself.

You smile as you look at the sash. It's so cute and thoughtful. Maybe Jess is a great friend after all. You think to yourself.

"We're gonna go get drinks. Be right back" Jess says yelling over the loud music.

You nod then sit down at the booth.
You look around the club seeing tons of people dancing and having a good time. You wish you could be that carefree. But you're such a reserved person. Always cautious, always following the rules.

Jess and Hannah come back with drinks in hand. Hannah is holding a cocktail and a shot glass. She hands you the shot glass.

"Here Y/N. This is for you. Happy birthday!"

You take the shot feeling the alcohol burn my throat. You wince at the sour taste, but quickly shake it off.

"Here's your drink. Its a cosmopolitan" Jess says handing you the martini glass.

You take a sip to wash down the bitter shot you just had. And enjoy the flavor of this drink.

After 1 shot and 2 cosmos you are definitely feeling relaxed. Not drunk, just a slight buzz.

"Let's go dance!" Jess says pulling you to the dance floor. You swig the last bit of your cosmo before setting the glass down and walking to the dance floor.

The music is bumping and you sway to the music playing. Then the DJ plays Ushers yeah, and you start to dance with Jess and Hannah. When the chorus hits, you all drop it like it's hot. As you laugh.

You stand back up but suddenly feel someone grinding behind you. You look at jess with a surprised look but she just nods and smiles, letting me know he's cute. So you felt like fuck it, have fun.

You decide to grind your ass against him. He grabs your hips and softly whispers in your ear.

"Easy beautiful, you might awaken the beast"
