ANNA'S POV

Sitting in the room I was deeply thinking about how will I do the thing Tan told me to do?

I thought he will throw tantrums at me but he didn't do what I expected him to do when he saw me playing around there but instead he gave me a mission. A mission of cancellation of the meeting between Won's and Ezra's company.

The meeting because they are here. On which they are working their asses out.

How can I betray those who saved my life? Who trusts me. I never have thought about doing anything bad with even bad people in my life. But the only thing making me think about is the kid. Those pure souls.

Tan said I have to cancel it in any case. No matter what and how I'll do it if I want that orphanage to have a shelter on their heads.

Those kids are my life. My world. My everything. Thinking about them a silent tear fell on my cheeks that I roughly wiped.

Sitting and crying will not bring anything. Won is a billionaire, he has everything in his hands but in the orphanage, they barely get proper meals.

' if you have to choose between 'right' or 'kind' always choose kind '. This is what I learned in the orphan's house. I'm not going to betray anyone. I'm going to save someone who needs me.

I made up my mind. I'll choose them over Won and Ezra. I know I'm doing a selfish thing but I don't have any other choice.

I'm not saying ' only me ' or ' me first '. I'm saying ' me too '.

WON'S POV

"WHAT?". I shouted in disbelief when Ezra said she will go back to England in the evening of the very next day of our meeting. " But why?".

" Come on Won, it's not like we weren't going back again. We are here for the meeting only. You got Anna here luckily but I miss my friends and family". Ezra answered.

" I know Ezra but what about our plan after the meeting. How will I do that without you?". I said making puppy eyes.

" You are not a kid anymore Won. You are running this whole company alone. And it's just a proposal. I know you can do it. I trust you". She smiled warmly.

I went near her and hugged her tightly. " Thank you, Ezra. For everything".

She slowly hugged me back. " I'm not going today". She chuckled at my childish behavior.

I feel empty without Ezra. She is like a habit of mine. As she's always been by my side from childhood till now.

" Best of luck Won. Get Anna with you when you'll come back . I'll be waiting for you....both". She whispered the last word.

We both pulled out of the hug when we heard a slight knock on the door. "Come in". I said standing next to Ezra, hands in my pocket.

" Good morning Mr. William. Good morning Ezra". Anna came greeting with a beautiful smile plastered on her face and then gave a tight hug to Ezra.

" I missed you". Ezra said creasing her back.

" Missed you too Ezra". Anna replied slowly looking up at me while hugging Ezra. Her ocean-blue eyes met my dark brown one for a second but she immediately diverted her gaze.

" Welcome back Anna". I greeted her when she pulled out of the hug. She nodded whispering a thank you to me.

Three of us sat together in my office discussing the meeting plan. Everything was already planned. It was only a formal meeting between me and Ezra's clients.

We gave Anna the responsibility of arrangement of the meeting room and introduction of both the company shareholders to each other.

The next day Anna arranged the meeting room perfectly as we expected from her but some contract papers were missing. So to ask about it I called but she didn't pick up.

I went to plaza hotel but Luca told me she didn't come to work there since the last incident. So I decided to go to her apartment building but I saw a man in black wasn't allowing a couple to enter, saying they are strangers.

I went near him to request him, to let me in, but to my surprise, he didn't stop me instead he bowed at me and let me get inside. I felt strange but I shrugged it off.

As I went to her apartment it was locked. I tried to call her multiple times but she didn't pick up. Getting disappointed I came back to my apartment.

Next day

Finally, this is the day of the meeting. Everyone gathered there. But still, there was not a single sign of Anna. We waited for her arrival but soon Ezra decided to give Anna's responsibility to one of her experienced assistants. Who deftly did it.

Going back to my apartment I only thought about it. Where she must have gone? No matter what she should be there for the meeting. My gut feeling said there is something big that this girl has stuck between.

All my plans of proposing to her went wasted. Ezra going back to England tomorrow. Why everything is happening together?

I changed into comfy clothes and went to my bed but I wasn't able to sleep at all because I was worried about her. I tried to search for her everywhere but I failed badly in it as I don't know about her friend's circle or the roads here.

The train of my thoughts stopped when I heard a knock on my door. I went towards it lazily but as soon as I opened it my eyes got widened at the view.

It was Anna. Standing there with her head bowing. All drenched as it was heavily raining outside. Water was dripping down from all over her body. She was visibly shivering. By looking at her dress I can easily conclude that she was coming for the meeting but something stopped her.

I was lost looking at her vulnerable state until she spoke. " Mr. William......I-I'm.....so-sorry". She said above a whisper. " Please forgive me". She added in her shaky voice not lifting her gaze from her feet.

" Hey ". I called out but instead of looking at me she repeatedly shook her head. " I'm sorry Mr. William. I really am". She uttered more like a whispered. Her shoulders started shaking as she burst into tears

I placed my hand under her chin and raised her face a little. Her eyes were all puffy and red. I can't imagine how much she had cried. " It's okay. Please come inside first. We'll talk about it. Okay? ". She nodded and slowly walked inside. She stood in a corner beside the door as she was all soaked and water was still dripping from her body and wetting my floor as well.

I gave her a hoodie and a pajama to change into. Without saying another word she went inside the bathroom of my bedroom. I made coffee for both of us and went to my living room where she was sitting on my couch with slightly wet hair, rubbing the side of her arm. I unknowingly smiled at her as she always look super cute and tiny in my clothes. I went and sat next to her and hand her the coffee.

" Tell me now, what's going on?". She didn't turn her gaze from the cup instead her grip around it got tightened. She took a deep breath before speaking.

" Someone is blackmailing me and forcing me to work in your office. He wants me to bring your office papers and I have stolen them many times. Today he wanted me to cancel the meeting too". She glanced up at me for a second. " I'm doing everything for the sake of orphan kids. I'm sorry for everything but I didn't have any other choice. I'm sorry for messing everything up". She apologized again.

" Tell me something I don't know?". Her head snapped up at my words.

" You knew this?". She asked.

I smiled nodding my head. " I had a feeling from the start that something is going on with you. I knew you were working against your wish and I also have seen you stealing papers".

" Then why didn't you stop me?". She asked in shock.

" Because you never took any important papers. You don't have any idea about office work". I chuckled.

" What about yesterday's papers?. Didn't the meeting got cancelled?". She asked.

" I'm in this field from literally my childhood, Anna. I knew you were going to steal those papers that's why I made a fake copy of it and placed it there for you. By the way, the meeting was successful". I smiled but she was still frozen on her spot.

" I tried my best to listen to my mind against my heart but I didn't. I didn't give him the papers". She placed the coffee mug on the table and pulled out all the papers from her plastic bag.

" Who is it? Who is blackmailing you?".

She closed her eyes before taking his name ." His name is Tan. Tan Will-William".
