ANNA'S POV

With my barefoot, I kept running and running as fast as I can, still looking behind but soon I bumped into something hard more like a wall. I stumbled to my feet and back off a little because of a sudden contact, only to see an unknown man with an evil smirk on his face, looking down at me.

I look back only to see they both stopped. I turned again to face the man I just bumped. " Sir please- please save me. They a-are following me. Please help". I said looking up with hope but instead of helping he started laughing at me.

Soon both of the men also joined him. The whole alley was echoing with their psychotic laughing. I gulp down my saliva. Taking some steps backward as those two men were a little distance away from me.

With the all courage left in me, I did what I think every girl would do in a situation like this.

"HELP... SOMEONE PLEASE HELP". I started shouting with my lungs out.

The man took some steps closer to me and grabbed the back of my neck with one hand and put his other palm on my mouth.

" Stop shouting girl". He warns in a deep voice enough for me to get scared but I didn't stop. I pulled his palm away with all my strength, from my mouth and again started shouting.

In return for my little stunt, I got a tight slap on my face and I fell to my knees. He pulled me back up by my hair harshly. I started crying out loud because of the pain.

I felt my knees bleeding by now. I started crying out loudly.

Soon I flinched hard when I heard two gunshots back to back. I turned to see with my teary eyes, that both of the men got shot on their knees and fell to the ground, groaning in pain.

I raised my head to see. A tall dark figure standing at the entrance of the alley with a gun in his hand. He was wearing a mask on his face. But I recognized him only by looking at his eyes.

He came.

" TAN". I yelled. " Tan please save me. This man is hurting me". I started wiggling from his hold but he pulled me towards him, blocked himself from Tan, and grabbed me tighter. He pulled out his gun and placed it on my temple.

My back was facing that man and I was facing Tan. " Please ". I mouthed looking at Tan.

" Stop right there or else I'll pull the trigger". That man warned Tan and tightened his grip around the gun. I was sobbing hard, shaking in fear but soon froze in my place as Tan pointed his gun at me.

I noticed his hand shaking a little. He supported his shaking hand with his other. I closed my eyes tightly shut and finally, the alley echoed.

I slowly opened my eyes when I felt no pain. Breathing heavily I was trying to analyze the situation.

Soon the grip around my neck loosen and the man fell backward with a loud thud. I turned to look at the man who got shot at the center of his forehead.

My lips trembled to look at him. Wasn't able to bear more I felt my knees getting numb and my head started spinning. The next second I fell but I felt someone catch me before I reach the ground and blacked off.

I try to open my eyes only to close them again as the sun's rays were hitting on them. I turned my head to another side. Opening my eyes slowly I blinked multiple times to avoid my blurred vision. I felt someone's hand on mine. I recognized it was Ezra. She was resting her head, beside me on the edge of the bed, sleeping in a sitting position on a chair across the bed.

I realised I wasn't in my apartment. It was a hospital room and I was laying with an IV connected to my wrist. Trying to remember why am I there but soon heard the click sound of the door. Won walked inside having some files and medicines in his hand, looking down at them.

I still didn't remember how I end up here. As soon as Won glanced at me he came closer to me. " You awake". He said softly with a warm smile. As soon as he spoke Ezra immediately raised her head.

So she was awake.

" Thank God you are wake up". Ezra said in low voice. I diverted my attention toward her. She was wearing the same white dress from last night, looking at me with concerned-filled puffy eyes. Won was also in his last night's suit.

I tried to sit up but they both stopped me. "Don't try to get up Anna. Doctor has strictly told you to rest". Said Ezra.

I was puzzled for a few more minutes but soon regained my memory. I was in that alley......about to get shoot by Tan....then he shoots that man....what's next?.....Why can't I remember what happened next?

" Ezra. How am I here? What time is it?". I finally asked with joined eyebrows.

"Anna. Everything is alright. Rest for now. We'll talk about it later". She said getting up from her chair but I stopped her grabbing her wrist.

"Please Ezra. I'm alright". I said not leaving her wrist. She sat back and sighed heavily. Won also sat beside her.

" Yesterday after the party when I and Won were on our way back home I realised that I forgot my mobile so we went back to get that. But before we reach there we heard gunshots. Won immediately stopped his car to see. I stopped him but he didn't listen. He got off the car and rushed towards the alley where we heard the voice. I also followed him behind. But as soon as we reach there we saw you. You were about to fall but Won caught you. We both saw a man with a gun in his hand but we were very panicked seeing you unconscious. So we didn't pay attention to him. Won picked you up and brought you here. You were unconscious the whole night and a whole day. We are here since then. It's evening now". She explained in the most calming way possible.

"Thank you, Ezra". I turned my attention towards Won who was looking tired as well. " Thank you, Mr. William". I smiled weakly.

"Only thanks isn't enough. We are here up for you the whole night". Won said playfully. "You have to give a treat to me and Ezra. Get well soon fast. Your salary is also waiting for you on my office table". He said bringing smiles to everyone's faces.

" When will I get discharged from here?". I asked getting bored of lying already.

" Tonight". Ezra replied and brought me food. She feeds me by herself. I'm so thankful for them.

Soon Luca came with a very big and beautiful bouquet in his hand and sat beside me. " Princess, you awake?. I visited here two times this morning but you were unconscious". He said handing me the bouquet.

"Thank you, Luca". I smiled at him.

"Thank the person who sends this for you". He said signaling me to open the card that was stuck on the bouquet. I took the card and placed the bouquet beside me. I opened the card. There was a message...

'Get well soon Anna. I'm unable to visit because of my work. You can take days off as much as you want. Wishing you a fast recovery '.

I was shocked after reading the latter because Mr. Gonzalez isn't any softy. Looking at my reaction Luca also chuckled.

After some time he bid me goodbye and soon my orphan house guardians came to visit me. The whole day passed like that. Even my house owner Mr. Hanrey came to ask about my condition.

I was never the most important person to anyone. Not even for myself. I tried to make people feel loved and wanted because I know how it feels not to be.

For once, just for once, I wanted someone to be afraid of losing me.

I never thought that those who are not my family, not even that close to me will come here for me. I always thought that no one will come even if I'll be dead alone except for Luca. I trust Luca with my life.

For the first time in my life, I felt complete. I felt there is someone for me who actually cares about me. I felt secure. I felt loved which I always theists for.

I wonder, who informed everyone. Then I came to know it was Won who called everyone from my mobile and informed them.

" Oh god.... Did he also call Tan. Wait! where is Tan since then?. I didn't even see Aiden".
