ANNA'S POV

" Welcome back home my dear spy". I heard a manly voice along with his footsteps as his tall figure started walk toward me.

I wasn't able to see his face but I recognised his voice. " Tan". I uttered taking some steps backward.

" That's right. But let me guess, you weren't expecting me here, right?". He asked taking more steps closer to me. I felt his hard gaze straight on me in the dark.

I didn't reply. I was scared, didn't have any slight idea about what is he going to do next.

I flinched when the wall came in contact with my back. He stopped a step away from me. Expanding his arm he rested it beside my left shoulder on the wall. As he leaned near my face my heart started thumping more. I bet even he was able to listen to my loud heartbeat and heavy breathing in that pin drop silence.

He raised his other hand near my face and lit up the lighter, he was playing all the time with. Now I was able to see his elfin face with a sinister smirk on it.

"Tell me what you want and get out of my apartment?". I snap in a stunt voice before gulping fearfully.

He let out a breathy chuckle. " Someone is in hurry- Oh, did I disturb you and your boss? Is he coming up?". He asked shamelessly looking at the lighter.

" What if I say yes?". His head snapped towards me. He didn't expect this kind of answer from me.

This time I smirked.

I don't know where I got that confidence from but this time he was talking shit about my character and I can't just pretend to unheard it.

He slammed his fist beside me but I didn't even blink. He was burning in rage but I was standing there being stubborn.

" Don't you dare use that tone again on me, Anna". He gritted his teeth, clearly controlling his anger.

"Or else what huh?".  I asked looking straight into his eye. "Will you kill me? Oh, Nah. You are going to kill Luca right? Because I'm useful to you. Isn't it Mr. Tan William?". 'Losing him was my only fear. And now I'm fearless' " You know what? Just go and kill him already. I'll tell Won everything about you and be free from all this. But you will not. I know you will never be free because once you'll kill Luca your work can't be done without me". I added.

Well, he unexpectedly chuckled at my words. " You are right, Anna". He nodded. " I'm not going to do anything to your precious Luca. I know something more precious to you than him". He blows the lighter off and leaned closer to my ear making me clench my dress as our bodies collided. " Your lovely Orphans house". He whispered.

My heart dropped. I pushed him away by his chest only to see a wide smirk playing on his face. Tear started forming in my eyes. " No...no....no...Tan...yo-you...can't do this to them". I stuttered.

" Oh, where did that strong Anna went who was warning me a few seconds ago. I swear I was literally shaking in fear". He laughed at me sliding both of his hands inside his pant pocket eyeing up to down at me. Must be feeling proud of making fun of my vulnerable state.

'How can be someone so heartless?'

" Tan, listen. Th-they didn't do anything. Don't bring them in all these... please. They are innocent for God's sake Tan". My voice came out low and shaky. I was afraid, afraid of thinking about those innocent souls.

" I'm not bringing anyone, it's you who is making me. Just do what I'm saying and you will be free". I tried to search but there wasn't anything called 'mercy' in those stone-cold eyes.

I gulped my saliva down in my dried throat before speaking. " What will I have to do?". I asked wiping my tears.

" That's my girl". He said before walking towards the window looking down at the empty street.

" Have that baster- Won". He hesitated a little before saying his name." Have Won discussed anything about his personal life?". He added.

" He have. What you want to know?". I asked ready to say whatever I know.

" I want to know everything besides his fake engagement".

'He knows'.

"I don't know much about him but he lives with his... I mean with your father in England". His fingers balled into a fist, hearing my words. But his fist got more tighten and he turned at my next words. " He said your mother died when he was three. But Tan your mother-"

He cut me in between. " What the fu-". I flinched when he suddenly shouted but he stopped himself from cursing. Closing his eyes tightly shut he opened them again. " What else he said?". He asked running his fingers through his hair in frustration.

" He said he is missing his mother and yes, he also said he didn't have any siblings".

He let out a sarcastic chuckle. " Missing ". He repeated my word." That murderer is not my father". He said clenching his jaw.

'murderer. Why is his family so complicated?'.

" Tan, look, I don't know what's going on in your family and what is the matter between you all. But those orphan kids are my only family. They are all I have to call my family". His gaze lifted at my words. " Also, I have told you whatever I know about him. Now promise me you'll not do anything to those kids ...please". I pleaded in a very low voice.

He stared at me for a few seconds. I saw an unreadable exchange of emotions in his eyes which he covered real quickly. "Promises are meant to be broken". I got goosebumps at his words.

'What did he mean by that'.

"But you-".

"I'll not do anything to them. But". He stopped speaking and took some steps closer to me. " But until you obey my rules like a good girl".

" What rules?". I frowned.

"Rule number one
You are not going anywhere without acknowledging me or eider Aiden".

"Rule number two
You have to secretly bring Won's personal documents and files. I'll check and hand you back that you have place back without anyone's knowing. How are you going to do is your problem and". He said leaning a little closer to my face. He brought his hand closer to my face and tug a strand of my hair behind my ear. " No need of extra use of that pretty little brain of yours for escaping from me. My men are having eyes on you". He added tapping his index finger on my temple.

"Rule number three and the most important one". He said in a more deep voice than usual. My eyes followed his fingers as they slid down from my temple and stopped under my chin. " No need to be too closer to Won". He warned making me gaze up at him. His eyes were fixed on my lips.

"What kind of rules are they?".

" Rules are rules".
