Chapter 4
At The Dinner
Three months later

Lilac and I walk into the base, and are greeted by Duncan, Matt, Dan and Addy. Like normal, Addy tried to bash our heads in, but Dan would not let her. Lilac and I walked into the dining room, and Duncan pulled me into the kitchen. "Is Kate here?" I ask, genuinely curious. "Yep, she's in my room right now, I'll have Dan go and get her after we eat," he replied. I nod, and we walk back into the dining room and start to talk about the war and stuff. Eventually, we finish eating and Duncan signals for Dan to get Kate. Duncan gives Lilac a letter and says to read it. Dan comes back with Kate as Lilac finishes reading the note. "Kate's... alive...?" She asked, and looked up with teary eyes. "Yeah... I am alive... I'm sorry Lilac..." Kate said, as Lilac ran and hugged her sister. Kate mouthed 'thank you' to me, and I nodded back. "Let's give them a second..." I suggested, and we all left the room.
