After a while, we suddenly got the news that Sonic's alive and is held hostage in space inside the rebuilt Death Egg.

I smiled after hearing the news about it, before Knuckles explained about how he got the info.

Apparently, Knuckles sent a spy to look for Sonic and at the same time, gather information about what Eggman was planning to do with Sonic after his capture.

We also learned that Sonic was being tortured during the months of when he was still captured.

"That's awful! I can't believe Eggman would do such a thing to Sonic!" I say after we discussed about him and what we were planning to do to get Sonic back.

The wolf nodded his head in agreement to what I said.

Eventually, we were called over before being taken to our destination for our mission to begin.

-In the vehicle-

"Okay, so, Knuckles wants us to head on over to the Chemical Plant while Team Chaotix tags along and goes to a different route in order to "borrow" a shuttle, so we can rescue Sonic..." I mumble, thinking aloud a little.

Then I closed my eyes and sighed as I leaned back.

"I feel so nervous but excited for this....This is the first time I'm gonna experience war and adventure in my entire life. It's hard to describe how I feel about this on the inside, but, I'll manage with what I got!" I thought to myself as I tried keeping my breathing steady.

As I was thinking so many thoughts about what was gonna happen, I suddenly felt someone patting my back lightly before I opened my eyes and looked over at who was patting my back.

Just the nerdy red wolf boy that I met and was told who my partner is.

"Thanks, wolf boy." I say as I looked at him, making him chuckle over the nickname that I called him.

The red wolf smiled and gave me a thumbs up in response to what I said.

"Alright, we're here at Chemical Plant! You two rookies ready? Vector says as he came to the back of the vehicle and looked at us.

Me and the wolf nodded without saying anything.

If there's one thing I could say or confess, it'd be the fact I find Vector a bit intimidating for his looks, even though he's a mixture of both serious and is actually pretty nice.

Kinda like Shadow except he isn't super edgy as fuck.

Shortly after we came to a stop, me and the wolf got our wispons ready before we were told to head out and start our mission.

As soon as we stepped out, Team Chaotix got out as well before we went our routes to "borrow" a shuttle, as the driver of the vehicle pulled away and began heading back to the resistance hideout.

"Let's go, wolf boy." I say, nearly making him smile at the nickname.

Then we took off into the freezing cold, but dangerous, Chemical Plant.

Once we were in, the red wolf started shooting fire from the burst wispon, while I jumped and spun myself forward in the air before slamming the cube wispon down, as soon as Eggman's robots appeared in front of our paths, turning them into a pile of burned or destroyed metal.

Out of all the wispons I've seen, I strongly think the cube and the lightning wispon is my personal favorite when it comes to attacking, despite it being overpowered but useful for long range and close range attacks.

I smiled and laughed a bit in joy over the action as I kept attacking and destroying robots left and right.

When we got to the rails and started sliding on them like we were on a skateboard, I quickly got really scared about losing my balance and falling off.

So, without thinking, I quickly grabbed the wolf's hand, making him blush, until we made it safely.

For the rest of the mission, the atmosphere was extremely awkward between us, as soon as we were in the shuttle.
