Chapter 6: New Rules

3rd Person Pov:
Once the two boys arrived home, George helped Harold with moving in. Moving packages, placing items where they needed to be, and they did all that without talking to one another. They wanted it to be like that, what were they supposed to say? An apology? Definitely not that. George is not ready for that as he doesn't believe whatever his old best friend will say anymore. Harold isn't the honest boy, he used to be. Well, at least in his eyes he isn't. After that, Harold pushed the boy out of the room and slammed the door. "Rude. He could have least said, thank you." George said, crossing his arms. He went over to the couch and turned on the television. He switched throughout the channels, trying to find something good to watch. Ultimately, nothing seemed good to him so, he ended up watching the news. He sighed as his stomach growled noticing that he hasn't eaten in a while. George remembered the single pizza slice he had in the bag left in their room. He quietly got up and went towards the door, he was about to knock on it until it swung open. Pushing him to the ground in the process. "Didn't anyone ever tell you to be careful around doors? You never know when they swing open!" Harold said as he saw him on the floor. The bell rung and Harold quickly made his way to the door but, he handed George a piece of paper.

"What is this?" George asked, completely confused about the rules. They were so weird and childish. "Rules. Can't you read?" Harold responded as he carried a box of pizza. "I can, it's just why have them and why is the second to last rule scribbled over?" George asked, curiously. "It's just to assure our safety and keep things the way they are. Ignore the last one, it's just I accidentally thought of something," Harold explained as he headed toward the room. "Oh and. When it says, no bothering. I mean, no comic ideas." Harold added as he opened the door. "What? Why would I think of that?!" George asked, irritated. Why would he ever think of making Captain Underpants comic again? Besides, it's not like they'll ever see him again after they left Middle school. "Just for warnings. I don't draw anymore." Harold said, grabbing the single pizza that was left on George's desk and handing the bag to him. "Just hang this on the fridge and don't bother me until bedtime." Harold said before closing the door. "Such an idiot." George mumbled before microwaving the pizza and hanging the paper on the fridge. Why is Harold so mean to him? What did he do?

Does it have to do with the confession he made a long time ago? George grabbed the pizza and sat on the couch continuing to watch the television. As well as the news that he had no interest in except for this report.

'Police say, there might be a rapist out there after reports of high schools students being either harassed, assaulted, or raped. Although, they say this will only happen in a specific area of Ohio which is the park near MoonLight Academy. School officials of the high school say, they have taken extra precautions and will make sure students stay safe. Both officials and police advise students to stay inside when it's night time until this criminal is caught.'

George felt a chill run down his spine as he took a bite of the pizza. He didn't expect this type of news to come on. "Maybe, I should just turn this off." He mumbled as he grabbed the remote and turned off the television. He got up and looked outside the window as he saw how dark it was. "I should probably ask Harold, what will do about the scam. But, maybe tomorrow. He doesn't want to be bothered after all." George mumbled as continued watching outside and eating the pizza.

He wasn't expecting his life to turn into a complete nightmare.
