My secret santa ( BASED ON A REAL STORY ABOUT THE AUTHOR OF THIS ONE SHOT STORIES!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Mrs. Carpenter - my teacher (duh)

The setting of this story is in the Phillipines so it's a bit different to people living in other countries.

It was a December afternoon and the whole class is seated on the floor, waiting for Mrs. Carpenter's announcement.

"What do you think it's about." I whispered to my BFF ,Katherine.

"I have no idea. Maybe it's about an upcoming exam or something." She replied.

"I hope not." I hate exams! When we have tests or quizzes, I don't have time to go to Wattpad!

I scan the crowd of classmates and my eyes landed on Evan, my crush. I blushed and looked away before someone caught me staring at him. 😚☺️

Unfortunately for me, Katherine saw me.

"Looks like someone is looking at our seatmate." She teased me. Did I mention that me, Katherine, and Evan are seatmtes. (This is true. Me, my bestie, and my crush are once seatmates. We were even group mates once. And I always feel left out because I'm a shy person while the other 2 are not really that shy.)

The sound of Mrs. Carpenter's heels tapping on the floor got the students attention.

"Class! Today we will be doing secret Santa!" Mrs. Carpenter announced. happy sigh of reliefs can be heard from the students.

Mrs. Carpenter explains the stuff that will happend. We are going to write our names on a piece of paper and the teacher will collect those papers. One by one, we will pick the pieces of papers with names on it and whoever's name is written on the paper we will give a present to him/her on our Christmas party. (Sorry reader, I'm not good at explaining)

"Now please write your name on a small piece of paper. Drop it in this little box if your done." Mrs. Carpenter instructed.

I quickly got a piece of my paper and wrote my name on it using a red ballpen.

When I finished writing, I put the paper on the box. I wonder who will be my secret Santa.

After a few minutes, Mrs. Carpenter counted the pieces of paper to Make sure all of us wrote our names and put it in the box.

Next, she asked us to line up in front of her desk and pick a piece of paper from the box.

When it was my turn to pick a paper from the little container, I took a deep breath, cross my fingers, and quickly grab a paper.

The name written in the paper that I got is.................

'Bella'.

Awwww, I was expecting I got Evan's name. 😔

Hmmmm, I should be contented with the name that I got. It's kinda funny because last year, Bella was my secret Santa and she gave me a lovely green notebook. Now it's my turn to be her secret Santa.

"Oh! And one more reminder." Mrs. Carpenter announced. "No one must tell anyone who they picked. That is so no one can spoil the surprise."

That's too bad, I want to ask Katherine who she picked and tell her who I picked. Anyways, I'll just tell her and beg for her to tell me who she got. Besides, no one will know, right?

I nudged Katherine, who was beside me, and give her the 'please-tell-me-who-you-got-and-I-will-tell-you-mine' look. She just smiled and nodded.

Katherine giggled. "Look who's looking at you."

I look at Evan. He is looking at me with a mischievous smile on his face. Wait-what?! Evan is looking and smiling at me?! I blushed and looked away.

I turned to Katherine. "Maybe he's looking at you." Then I gasped and realized something. "I think he picked either you or me."

"Not to burst your bubble, but don't hope to much." Katherine warned.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

Suddenly, the bell rang. Yes! Dismissal time!

"I'll tell you who I pick and you tell me yours." I said to Katherine.

"Ok, you go first." Katherine replied.

Me: "I got Bella."

K: "Ok. Now I will tell you mine, but don't freak out, ok?"

Me: "I won't freak out. Promice!" *makes promice sign*

K: "I got Evan."

Me: "no way!"

Katherine got Evan. Is she serious?!

As if she read my mind, Katherine replied. "I'm serious. Why? Are you jelly?"

"No!" I denied. Truth is, I was jealous. But only a little and I quickly shrug the jealousy off. She is my best friend after all, I should not be jealous of her.

"We can exchange if you want." She offered.

I shook my head. No matter how much I want to be Evan's secret Santa. No. Just, no.

"No, but thank you. We already broke the rule of not telling anyone who we got."

"Ok then. Suit yourself. But if you change your mind, I'm still willing to exchange."

Today is Christmas party day. I bought a notebook planner for Bella. She seems like a busy gal, so giving her a planner might help her a lot.

I'm thinking of a perfect outfit to wear today while standing in front of my closet.

I decided to wear a floral dress and a denim cardigan. I slipped on a cute hair clip on my hair as an accessory.

i grabbed Bella's wrapped present, quickly ate breakfast and dashed out of the house. I am ready to go!

"Hey V! Hurry up. You missed the party!" Katherine joked

I giggled. Yeah right.

Katherine dragged me into the classroom. Everyone is dressed nicely today.

The first thing that I did when I arrived is eat something. I didn't eat breakfast this morning so I'm starving.

"Um, the plan is to play relay games first and eat later." A voice told me.

I turned around and saw Alana. ARGH! Not her!

Alana is one of my classmates who is planned the Christmas party. Let's just say, we don't get a long much. 😑

"I know. It's just that I haven't eat breakfast yet and I'm really hungry." I said.

Some people this days likes to control the lives of other people. It's so annoying.

Alana just rolled her eyes and walked away.

After I ate, i joined the games. It was fun!

Then it was time to reveal the secret santas. Yay!

We all sat down on the floor in a circle. Mrs. Carpenter started by telling describing who she picked then she will give the present to him/her. Then we will open our presents together after everyone received their present.

I patiently waited for my turn. Everyone got there presents except for me, Katherine, evan, and Bella.

Mrs. Carpenter instructed Katherine to give her present already since it was only us left.

Katherine smiled. "Ok, mrs. Carpenter! The person I picked is cheerful, funny, and he is my seatmate-"

"ME!!!" Evan interrupted.

"Yeah, it's Evan." Katherine confirmed, rolling her eyes. "Where is the thank you?"

"But I haven't even opened it yet!" Evan said.

Katherine gave Evan his present and smirked. i smiled. This two are like twins.

"Now it's my turn." Evan declared. "She is smart, petite, a great writer, and artistic."

Hmmmmmmm, I wonder who he is describing. Maybe it's Katherine or Bella.

I was very surprised when Evan handed me a white box with a red ribbon.

I gasped. Is this true?

Evan is my secret Santa?!

"M-me?" I stuttered pointing to myself.

"No. This is not yours. It's for Victoria." Evan joked.

I almost fainted. Luckily, Katherine was there. She nudged me, urging me to get the gift from him.

I got the gift from Evan. Our hands brushed a little. OMG! Someone please hold me, I'm gonna faint!

After I recovered from my sweet moment, (LOL!) I described Bella.

"She is kind, smart, responsible, and a great leader."

I gave the gift to Bella.

"Thank you!" She said, cheerfully.

A smile formed in Katherine's lips.

"What?" I asked her.

"Now I know who my secret Santa is......"

Bella smiled and gave Katherine her present.

"Merry Christmas!" Bella said. Katherine giggled.

"Now that everyone got their present, IT'S TIME TO OPEN THEM!" Mrs. Carpenter announced excitedly.

Everyone started opening their presents.

Katherine got a little lava lamp (w/ a note attached saying 'Your life is colorful') and a sweet smelling cologne.

Mrs. Carpenter has a new bag that is big enough to store lots of things inside.

David received a book.

Bella got her planner. ^_^

And I? I have a new blouse with pink and white stripes. It's so adorable. (But in real life, I secretly don't like that gift. Don't ask why................. IM TRYING TO BE THANKFUL YOU KNOW?!)

Today is the best Christmas party ever!
