Ms.Company backstory in Batim
"Miss.... Are you alright?"
"I... Yes of course I am. But who are you?"
"My name is...... It's Elliot."
"Elliot? Then you can call me Ms.Company, pleasure to meet you."
"Pleasure is mine too miss Company! Is your husband around?"
"My hus..... Oh why no! I don't actually have one! I-I.... Oh my.."
"Did I say something wrong?"
"Oh no dear! You did not... You just surprised me for saying this. I am still a single woman."
"I understand, but why are you still single? You seem like the prettiest and sweet lady I have
ever seen in my life!"
"Oh oh! Elliot... You are quite the charmer dearest... Maybe we can talk more about this around some drinks?"
That was the first conversation they both had together when they first met from a fight. Both had gone to a bar and been talking the whole night.
The next day... The two would meet again in that said bar. Both talking about their day. They laughed, smiled and stared into each other's eyes. It was... Love.
The two had made this routine. They both go to their workplace. Him working in the military entertaining camp and her working in a library.
Both being around their twenties...
After a year only the two got to do a lot of dates before they both agreed they are officially a couple.
At the town, they looked like the sweetest couple on sight.
And then another year came their first child. Both wanted to have a bunch of them. But the first born... Didn't look human at all. Elliot was in shock to see a black inky being has his child, with no sound coming out at first. They both got worried at the sight. They thought their first newborn baby was dead.
To their relief the baby cried and they learned that their little boy had got a disease. Ms.Company had tears in her eyes and she held her son carefully in her arms. She was going to do everything she could to protect this little one. Elliot was also there, comforting and giving his support to the both.
When their child, Bonclyde, grew up. He was around three years old. The little ball of sunshine was driving both parents around for fun. For a baby that was sick, he knew what he was doing. Elliot was not always there in the house since he was needed at his work. But when he was home, Bone didn't miss the occasion to annoy him.
Ms.Company thought maybe buying some new toys would help ease her child being so wild around. She wasn't able to go to work at her library when she would bring him there. She can't leave him alone in the house or even leave a babysitter to take care of him.
But now... Elliot thought maybe if there was another child, Bone would be acting more calmer and would be happy to have a sister or a brother to play with?
The idea was not a bad one. She agreed to it and went to speak about this with Bone. Of course the small boy could not truly understand.
She calmly would take time to explain and let Bone decide if he would agree or not.
In the end he said he was okay with it, if he was going to be a big brother. He was going to enjoy teaching a lot of stuff to his little sibling.
Glad to hear this. Elliot and Company got to work. Another year passed and their second child was born a few months later.
Bone was there to see his little sister. At first he was in awe to see her pretty blue eyes stare into his red one. Then.... They both had quite the opposite dynamics.
Bone was five years old when it happened. Kitty was only one, but she was quite the brute of the two despite being the smallest. Bone was smart and every time he saw his sister crawl fast to his direction with that determination in those eyes. He knew she was up to try to fight him. At least this had been keeping them both busy.
On the other hand... Elliot was questioning Company about their children. He doesn't understand how both could look this inhuman. Both had cat features traits over their bodies and it worried him.
Company hadn't really told him the truth. So she took the time to take him to their bedroom and tell him everything about her past. How she was abused by her parents in her childhood, how she ended up making a deal with Satan... And how she was turned into a demon with the blood of Satan given to her to survive in hell.
Elliot listened with patience as he was quite in shock at this discovery.
At first he was saying nothing when she was done speaking. All he did was stand up and leave the house.
Company was sad, worried, almost depressed to see her boyfriend leave without saying anything. She thought she had said too much for him to process. So she let him be and took care of both the children to keep her busy.
The next day he came back. Roses in one hand, chocolates in the other. He apologized to her and explained why he had left so suddenly.
She was glad he didn't take this all badly. But he had told her that this is something no one else should learn about.
And so... Both of the children lived ten years in peace.
But it broke when Elliot got a disease. Around that time there was no cure made from cancer yet. So... Each week passed and Company had to watch with sad eyes her man slowly dying.
It also took a toll on one of the kids. Bone never wanted to pay a visit to his father when he was sent to a hospital. Kitty did and she would always come home with a small gift in hands. After all, their father always loved to give them both a gift.
Bone decided to even lock himself in his room. Company would pass her day to check on her son. He let her in everytime and she was there to comfort him.
Going to school was hard for the boy. Kitty on the other hand had less trouble because she was younger and a bit naive about the situation.
When Elliot gave his last breath... Bone had gone cold and never had let anyone step in his room. Kitty cried in her mother's arms the whole night. Company silently processed that the man she loved and cared about was gone forever.
But she was the one that stood up for her children. She was able to get Kitty to feel better after some months. With Bone it was quite hard. The teenager was not letting anyone in his room anymore. It pained her heart to see him sometimes come out to only drink something. She worries he might die and be gone just like Elliot.
Two or three years had passed... Ms.Company had left the library work and got to search for another job somewhere else. The library made her heart ache each time she went there anyways. It reminded her of him passing by too much.
She searched and then found a studio needing a secretary but also that would cook in the cafeteria. She found this job description short but it looked easy to do for her.
She went to sign up for this job. She got interviewed and got it with no problem. Which she found weird but then she was going to be in a different atmosphere.
Kitty was able to take care of herself when her mother was gone and Bone was still staying in his room. So Company knows she won't have to be worried about the two.
She worked in this studio for a month already and there she had met quite the people she could call her friends. Not like in the library she had any..
But now she does have some and she was enjoying her time. She would go girl gossip with Susie, and Emily. Have a friendly chat with Sammy about his taste in music, helping give some advice to Tom and Allison about the both wanting children and how to take care of them.
Then she would pass her time at work by chatting with her boss, Joey. She can't lie that this man had quite the imagination. Everytime she was interrupted in filling out some paperwork with him telling what a new episode would be like.
And then there was Henry. The first artist that worked alongside Joey when both decided to make this studio for children to enjoy the cartoon's product here. This man reminded her so much of Elliot. But the only difference would be the two were not looking the same in appearance but by heart too.
She sighs in daydream each time she would pass by his desk to say a little hi which was easily ignored when the man looked so serious on drawing a new character to add in the episodes. And when she was going to the break room, he would snap out of his focus and realize she had passed by him.
It was like a routine there. Both would always meet each other at a time it was a rush or one another was busy working.
And then Joey decided to make the day you can bring your kids to work. She was thrilled at the idea to show her kids the place she works in now. Kitty was excited and Bone... Seemed not interested, but he did come along for once without complaining.
Company presents her kids to her friends. All were a little weird out at their appearance at first. But after they saw how adorable Kitty acted like any kids just made them be less weird out and happy to chat and play with her. With Bone on the other hand it was... Hard to communicate. He was too silent, eyes glaring at anyone that tried to speak or get close to him.
Company apologized about her son's behavior and went on giving a tour to her kids until she passed her office and where Henry's and Sammy's workplace was in the studio.
After this day, Company got quite the remarks of her friends that they will miss seeing Kitty around. Even Bone. She was a little surprised to hear this. Even Joey came to tell her she can bring her kids to work if there is no one watching over them at home.
She had thought about it and she was very protective of her kids. Both still go to school well... She did hear there were bullies there. At least to Kitty. So she guessed bringing them to a place where they were welcome... She agreed the next day and for six months, both her kids were wandering around the studio while everyone was working.
To her surprise Bone got attach To Sammy and Henry. Like he was really having a different behavior with those two. The black inky cat would mess Sammy musical notes to annoy him and get his attention. But with Henry... He just looked over his shoulder and watched the man work on drawing, like it was captivating to watch the man work on his desk the whole day.
She smiled at such sight and would pass by to give them both some snacks she made herself. It's like she could see a father with his son from where she was standing.
She shook her head as she knew she should not think like this. Henry was only her co-worker, her friend...
So she went to check on Kitty instead. The little cat girl was quite fast to catch on. She moved from one area to another. She was asking a lot of questions to anyone. Which could make some lose their temper.
So, Company got on time to stop her from accidentally bringing the employees to explode in rage.
Joey came to her and told her he could have Kitty stay in his office if she wants. Company didn't see any wrong in letting her daughter to her boss. She knows how nice with kids he was.
She handed her over and Kitty's happy behavior seemed to change a little. She looked shy and was even scared. The mother thought it was because her child barely had met Joey than the others so she gave her a comforting touch.
With the reassurance, her child felt better and was back to be a chatty self with Joey. The man only chuckles in amusement as he responds to the innocent questions from the cat girl.
After bringing her child with her in the studio, Company met a little girl. She thinks she has never seen her before. But it seems Henry was the one that brought her to the studio.
The little girl was so sweet and very empathic for a very young age. She also learned what happened to her parents and she felt sorry about it.
She would even give some snacks to her too.
Joey came with another idea on that same day... Which was normally a secret that no one else must know. He had told her with such a serious tone. Company was unsure about this one though. It was different. Bringing something to life. But not legally too.
Her boss wanted the three main characters of the cartoon to be alive. To be rooming the studio with their happy faces.
She tried to reason with him a bit. But... He didn't listen to any of her words. Instead he got to tell Sammy about this. And even to Henry. Both men had different opinions.
Henry sided with Company on this. While Sammy...he easily got convinced by Joey and aided him.
It was two against two.
But Henry and Company could not do anything since Joey was the boss. And the man got what he wanted.
The studio had more rooms constructed. New level was in the elevator and now pipes were linking outside walls and floor.
In the end.... Boris, Alice and Bendy were brought to life.
When everyone else met them, they were amazed and wondered how they were able to be here. Joey only says something about believing and dreams.
Company was suspicious of this. She felt like something else was in there instead of those lies.
She hasn't seen Buddy and Susie for a while too. She bet it is linked to this. She even has a chat with Henry about it. And he told her the two had actually quit working because both got replaced.
She was unsure about this information. But she did tell her kids to not get near Joey and if the man came to get them, they should run to her office or go to stay around Henry and the others.
She paid a visit to Sammy once and the man was changing for the worse. His mental health was degrading.
Years had passed... Ten to be exact. The atmosphere in the studio got worse. Everyone was tired from being pushed over to keep working without a break. Joey became a very bad abusing boss.
Henry tried to get Joey to calm down and slow with the work schedules. It only resulted in both arguing and then. Henry left with the little blind haired girl. She saw how heart broken the girl was to leave so suddenly.
Company decided that her kids would stay at home and never come with her to work. She would even let them go pay a visit to Henry house and play with the little girl when she was away.
Tom and Allison left too when they heard Henry had quit. Company said goodbyes and good luck to the couple.
Sammy became crazy... He was eating ink like it was some gourmet food. She had caught him doing this once and she knew he had kept doing that for a while. The man mostly had the skin changing to ink.
Joey is... Not the man she once first met. Because when more people were quitting he had lost it. He forced the toons he brought to life to work harder. And from those three Bendy was the one to suffer the most.
She does her best to comfort him with Alice and Boris alongside. The little devil didn't deserve to work so much to please this man. They all were not brought here for this. She can't believe how delirious this was getting.
She was one of the few that stood her feet from the ground. Or maybe she was the only sane person here. She took the work Henry had left behind. Being now the secretary, the cook, the head artist animator and the caretaker for the main trio cartoon was giving her no time to rest. Thanks to the demon blood pumping in her body for keeping her with all this.
She was determined to help the sane one to support this kind of work. At some point she was missing her kids. She had been working day to night for days. She wasn't able to go home for like four days.
By missing them she had started to draw some cats on a paper to keep her mind at ease. Joey saw this and decided to create another toon and bring it to life.
At first she was going to call the authorities and tell everything about Joey's shenanigans in the studio because bringing more toons to life wasn't going to change everything.
But when Joey came to her with a surprise gift, she was.... In shock to meet eye to eye with a curious small cat toon. Her hands shakily took him in her arms and immediately there was a connection between the two. It's like she was holding a missing child she had missed to hold so close to her chest. Her heart heated so fast at how the small being purred and just snuggled onto her. It's like he founded his long lost mother. "How...?" She asked in pure confusion on this. All she received was a smile and a 'magic' with jazz hands from the man.
Having another child to take care of was.... Not something she thought she would get has a gift from the abusing man. How come he could do that to her?
She knew there was something he was not telling her. So she went with her new son to the boss office. To her surprise Sammy was there, wearing a mask of a bendy head cut out.
The two were doing something horrific. There was a sketch drawn that showed what was inside of a certain wolf cartoon. How could they know about this? Her reaction was to hide her son's eyes with a hand as she ran off to go find Boris. She hoped for him to be alright, that nothing had happened to this boy.
She had been searching around, and asked if anyone saw him. Alice came over to help out so she would know where her friends would always go.
She follows her and when they spot Bendy, they see the sad look on his face. Both asked what was wrong and all the small demon did was to cry. Company kneel down and take him in her arms. The cat boy looked intrigued at first and was also hugging Bendy.
Later.... Company had left Leony with Bendy and Alice. She knows the three together would be safe. She went back into Joey's office. Found nothing about this grotesque sketch and just him working in paper works.
She had been screaming everything she hated about him for a while. When she was done to catch her breath. The man looked unfaced about her furious outburst.
All she heard from him was those words. "They are not people like us. I can make new ones like them."
This was enough for her to know Joey was not Joey. This man before her was a monster. The worst kind she saw. Even a demon from the hell she had lived in wasn't this... Cruel.
She gave a certain look to Joey. Which this time made the man flinch. She left the office with no words. Got to where her beloved toons were. She wasn't going to let those three suffer like Boris.
She could see how Leony was playing with Bendy. Like both were brothers in arms. Alice was watching over them as she would be practicing her singing and get to play with puffing her hair out.
She hopes this stays like this for a while.
But... There was always a but in a story. And sadly, Ms.Company wasn't able to protect them. Bendy was turned into a monstrosity for people's eyes. To her true eyes. She saw the pain he was in.
Alice was not found... She seems to have hid away, deeper in the studio. Leony... He had always stuck by her side. Company was glad nothing bad happened to the youngest toon.
The butcher gang was also here. The trio stayed with Emily because they liked her a lot. Even though they seem to be very aggressive with anyone else who dares get closer to them. Even she cannot get closer. So she stood by from afar, a hand holding onto Leony's small hand.
Joey made her watch this horrible scene. She saw the plea in the demon's eyes. The screams made her look away as she wasn't able to see how this ritual had shape-shifted the devil darling to an actual demon. The ink demon.
When it was done... Bendy had become feral. He was angry, he felt betrayed and all he wanted was to kill anyone in his sight.
Company tried to step closer, trying to have the Bendy she had met come back. He didn't listen to her and was running away instead. Killing innocent workers on the path.
Joey acted by sending Sammy to help out of caging the ink demon.
Bendy is gone now...
Company was left behind with Leony. She was shaking as she finally broke to her knees. Tears slowly trailing down her face. Those tears she had kept from coming out for a long time.
Why didn't she do this sooner? She questioned herself a lot... Blamed herself for this situation.
Leony stares at her and then... He wrapped his frail arms around her neck. Giving her the most tight hug he could give. "Mama.... Please don't cry... Big brother will come back.."
The lady shook her head and responded to the embrace by wrapping her arms around Leony. Bringing him to her laps. "My dear boy.... We lost him... If only I had just taken you three back to my home.. There you would have been safer!" She felt too weak.
Just like the time she had lost Elliot. Now she is lost in this hellish studio. Her friends.... The Toons she almost saw have her own kids...
She shook her head and slowly let go of the cat boy. Soft gloved hands lay on her cheeks. Her magenta eyes meet yellow ones that look with determination.
"Then let's get them back and go home together."
Those were the last words she heard from the toon...He too got turned into a horrible person by Joey's hands. The man thought Leony was able to look more like Bendy but only ended up making him look like a monstrosity.
Joey's emotionless eyes made her realize she really needed to get out of this studio. She had to get back to Bone and Kitty. She can't stay there. She had to see their faces again.
But what she didn't know... She was doomed since she was the last soul to be held in this place. The man had made this whole studio a prison. Pentagrams could be seen everywhere she would go....
The main door that was the enter and the exit... Was blocked by her. She could not pull or push it to open for her sake. She turned to other doors she thought could also be some other exits. But.. Those were fakes and only there was some prank.
She was stuck with the anomalies Joey had created.... Her friends and... It was her little family she enjoyed having around.
The lady fell to her knees after searching around helplessly. She cannot go home now...
Joey watched her be in such a despair to process her situation. If he was the man he once was before, he would have felt guilty for her. Now it's only a pity he could only feel a malicious aura run through his evil deeds.
Company had become a weeping mother that went from a sweet kind lady to a crazy one. For ten years... She had wandered the studio like it was her own home. Each malformed toons that would meet her paths were scared of her. She let them pass of course. Yet, if one tried to disturb her walk or attack her. They are dead within a few seconds.
She was even seen as some kind of divinity quite superior to the ink demon. Rumors came quite around fast and everyone in the studio knew they should respect her and do as she says if they don't want to meet death or get punished.
Some got even jealous because certain toons were spared and cherished by her. Leony... Angelina... and the ink demon were the one taken care of by her. She would give them food and make sure they are not injured and safe where they reside. When she refers to them, she would call them 'my children' or 'my dearest' because she rarely uses their name. When she does use them though it's only for a serious matter.
She did hear the names most held in the studio though. Bendy is called The Ink Demon, the one who mostly rules this place. Leony is called The Guardian because he is the one protecting his beloved loved one. Angelina who goes by The screecher. Why? Because she can scream to a certain ranch that can push some people away and make their ears bleed out. Sammy goes by being called The Prophet, for the way this inky man worships the demon. Susie refers to herself as Alice Angel, she was quite crazy to even impersonate her. Emily.... She rarely met her but the nickname she got did not even mutter out from others mouths.
For herself... She was called 'Mama' or The temptress. She has her way to control anyone's minds around her. She is untouchable... Until she would let anyone get near her.
Another ten years passed and she was surprised to see a new asset in the studio. A beast who has a bunch of red eyes over a face covered fully by ink. Twisted horns and a bulk shaped body. Somehow she felt like she knew this being. Even though her appearance had quite changed after twenty years of being stuck here.. Her memories were washed away like anyone else here. But she did welcome the beast like she did with her other children. She was even startled when she saw a boy that doesn't look deformed like anyone here. The attire on him also looked like he had been here a while and surely was an adventurer.
She can't believe how much asset had got so far in the studio. There was some development. After seeing inky people wandering around with no point of an objective. She called them lost ones as there were different kinds of them. For example there were some that didn't have legs and were sliding around, Those are called searchers. Some even would provide some blob of inks...
Another ten years passed... The front door was heard... The noise it made resonated from some levels under. Mostly some were intrigued and others ignored it to continue their routine.
For the temptress it was making her wonder who is the unfortunate new soul that got tricked by Joey.
Thirty years she was here.... Her sanity got her to be careful with whoever got in the studio. voices were always there to tell her what she should do.. She would listen to them, sometimes. A wicked smile on her face moved her hand through her horns. She can't wait to meet those new faces.
