Late night terror (Operator!Boney x Simon Ghost Riley)

He was working on polishing the blade of his throwing knife and cleaning his needles on his gloves. He had been working one mission after another without a break. It was his only way to proceed and escape from the trauma he had been revisiting at night.

But now he won't be able to go on another mission. His body can't take anymore effort. When he wanted to get up, he was hit with a vertigo. His sight gets fuzzy and a colorful spot appears within seconds.

He had to lean against the wall beside him and take a moment to breathe and let the dizziness go away.

"How long have you not been sleeping?"

He got barely startled as he was used to being found by none other than Simon Riley, aka Ghost. Who was leaning on the door frame with a certain posture you could see coming from someone that was going to barge in and give a lesson.

The operator gave a glance over to him only for a brief second before he looked away, running a hand over his forehead. He had a hard time remembering certain simple stuff when he was deprived of sleep."... A week. I think? I don't remember.."

Ghost's eyes would shift and frown at the answer given. He didn't know or heard that one of the operators would be having a worse situation when it comes to sleeping at night. "A week? But you're not sure about it?" He had taken some steps inside and knew immediately how the shorter man would react.

"Yeah... That's what I said." He had replied with a bit of annoyance as he was getting back to sit down and clean up another of his weapons from the blood of his victims.

The lieutenant stared at him. Watching the way the soldier was proceeding on the situation. He could see the hands trembling too much. The way Boney had to actually be careful to not cut himself or drop the weapon from his grasp. Ghost let out a sigh because he can't keep watching. "It has gotten worse. Come on, time for bed." He moved closer and lent a hand onto Boney's shoulder, giving a light squeeze to it.

The operator shook his head as he pushed away the hand on his shoulder. "No." He doesn't want to go to bed. Not to that comfort he wasn't allowed to get after all he had done. He prefers to just... Be gone on a mission then go lay down on the soft mattress.

Ghost removed his hand and raised an eyebrow. "No? There is no choice here. I mean look at you right now. You're a damn walking corpse!" Which he was not wrong about has the soldier before home can't even stand any longer before collapsing. Boney didn't let Ghost add something more as he wanted to be left alone. "I prefer to be that than having those terrible memories nagging me and my trauma."

Having enough of repeating such a situation. Ghost decided to simply get closer and grab Boney out of the seat and settle him at his side. Holding an arm over his neck while a hand held onto the short grown man side. "...That's it. I won't listen to you babble more."

Boney was confused at what just happened as he was practically dandling over one side of Ghost. Why was he picked up in such a position? It was not comfortable plus it made him want to actually struggle himself free. "Wha... Hey put me down!"

The situation has taken a turn where a grown man was too weak to actually give a punch and even turn this to his advantage.

Ghost was a little amused to see the trouble Boney was in as he wasn't able to free himself. "You can't get out of this."He takes the advantage on getting out of the weaponry and gets to the quarters. Where reside mostly all the soldiers that were already asleep.

But Boney wasn't in the right mind as he was panicking. He was already having small flashbacks of his trauma from each step taken close to his bedroom. "I don't wanna! Please Ghost! Let me go! I promise to do anything but this! I don't want to see those!" He was pleading as tears were already coming out. He was acting like a scared child.

Sensing the way his friend was not feeling well. He let him go and both dropped down to the floor as he was making sure the operator didn't hurt himself. His hands rested onto Boney's face. "Hey hey hey! Look at me. Take a deep breath. In and out..." He repeated the words as he made sure the situation was handled. Boney slowly breathed and calmed down as his body only shook from the short attack. "There we go... Slowly breathe again..." Following the instructions, gaining back his mind from the fear. Boney glanced up at Ghost with such vulnerability.

Ghost's gaze softens slightly as he barely knows how to comfort someone. But he had easily learned how through the years he had passed around the operator."I won't leave you alone there. I'll be by your side and will wake you up if need be." He assured and stared into those dark brown eyes showing the stress and the slight trust forming in.

He knows tonight and the other night coming after; he will have to guard over like a protector for the grown man before him to be able to sleep in peace.

But the operator had other plans as he instead wanted Ghost to nod just stand nearby but to sleep beside him. Like a big teddy bear he could actually hug to sleep. He needed a warm presence.
