Two

So, small chapters so far and probably will be staying that way. Tell me any mistakes, I don't mind and hope you enjoy. Plus, you guys can ask me questions.

The young teenager leaned against the wall at the back, not wanting to take the seat you offered and was glaring at you, deeply annoyed that you ruined his chance at taking someone's V-card. Personally, the anger you had felt at first was because of the fact that you knew Ace didn't have any romantic feelings for that pest-like girl. Even if he did, that girl had played with one too many people for your liking for such a kind man to go prancing off with. Your second reason was the concern for the school when really, the two should have been swapped around.

He probably hated me for that.

However, it did affect you. Even if you didn't show it for obvious reasons, when your crush decides to do anything romantic to another person, it really pulls at the heart strings and not in a positive way.

Sighing, you finished up the report - conveniently being Portgas's - and placed the final touches. You pressed print and leaned forward on your elbow, finally addressing Portgas. He was still glaring at you, and it hurt a lot, but you were a teacher first. Such feelings were bad for yourself, him and could have a negative impact on the school.

"You know, glaring at me isn't going to burn holes in me no matter how much you want it to happen." You spoke, lazily glancing at the printing papers. He grunted and didn't answer.

Brushing your hair back, you tried to explain to him why he was here. "Look, I don't get why you hate me, but as your teacher, what you did in class today was unacceptable. Also, what commenced in my classroom was, " what was the word? Disgusting? Nah, that's too severe, "inappropriate for school grounds." He flickered his eyes away and clicked his tongue. What was his problem?

You sighed for the millionth time that day and collected your things to take home. "I know you're meant to stay for another twenty minutes but since we started late, I'm letting you home free. I don't want to stay in this forsaken place for any longer." The last part you muttered.

He didn't respond and stayed put, watching you gather your equipment. Smoothing your clothes, you grabbed the fresh reports and slipped them into a folder. You collected your things and walked out the door, waiting for him to leave before you locked it.

You walked in silence to the outside of the school and you stopped in front of the school gate, deciding something. "Ace-san." Subtly, he flinched. This was the first time you had addressed him with his first name. "Look, here's your report card. You're meant to get it tomorrow but since you're here, I may as well give it to you." He took it off you and gently responded, the first time he talked to you politely. Sort of.

"TY*." You bit your lip and nodded.

"Good day." You spun on your heel and walked down the road, taking a left turn to cross the road. You knew Ace wasn't a bad teenager and that he was incredibly polite. You saw him around the playground often and he was always taking care of his brothers. Plus, from a number of times he had gotten into a fight with people who looked at them the wrong way, it was obvious he had a soft spot for them. You also knew he had trust issues, and probably generally thought that Bonney girl was a sweetheart. Sadly, you got off on the wrong foot which caused you to go down a nasty side of a relationship, but you were a teacher first and [name] second.

Reaching your home, which was a twenty-minute walk away from the school, you walked inside placing your stuff on the kitchen bench.

Your home wasn't too large of a home, it was rather small in your opinion. When you walked in, it immediately becomes the kitchen area. Just to the far wall was where the living room resided, half being hidden by a wall. To the right was the hallway that had a small bathroom, then the bedroom and opposite that was the walkway to the backyard combined with the laundry and a small doorway into the shelter site where your car waited. All in all, it was home.

*TY. - this means 'Thank you' for anyone who didn't know. Also, this is considered impolite in my opinion because it is informal for a person to address their elders this way.

[to everyone] Q: Favourite teacher?
[personal] A: My primary year three teacher. He was pretty cool.
