It was official, lunch duty still sucked. Since Portgas didn't have detention with you today, you volunteered to fill in for Corazon – a rather clumsy person even if you said so yourself – who had caught the common flu. Why you did it was beyond your knowledge but here you were, standing outside near the courtyard where everyone was having a mass rubber band fight.

The peristyle courtyard itself was often used by teachers for outdoor learning and by the students as an eating area. The area was rectangular in shape and had a garden of sorts with a few seating areas here and there. It was additionally spacious for yoga, which was commonly organised by Mr. 2 Bon Clay, or his other name, Bentham from the Okama group.

"Ha! I got you Luffy!" Shanks shouted from his hiding place behind a pillar. Yes, even some teachers were participating.

"No fair Shanks! I'm busy right now!" Looking to where he is, it appeared he was preparing for motorbike riding. He was wearing a fully black compacted suit that had multiple straps around the body which linked the parts together. The same as his body armour, he was holding a black helmet that had a sticker of a jolly roger with a straw hat stuck on the side, his own residing on his head. Something that stood out about his suit was the vast white spade printed on his back. He also was grasping the same staff from that morning which was now leaning on his shoulder. Likewise, approximately ten other people were wearing the same outfit near him but two others were dressed in casual clothing.

Curious, you slipped around the courtyard to their position which was by the hallway that directly led to the oval while ignoring the one or two rubber bands that hit you. "Robin-san?"

The historian turned to you and greeted you back, bringing some attention to you. "Ah, [name]-san. Good Evening." Nodding to her, you scooted by her side, feeling a gaze focused on you. Glancing to the right, all you saw was a person wearing his helmet while talking to Sabo, the young teenager from earlier. Although, this man had a different jolly roger on his helmet. Only this time, it was wearing a hat with a smiley and frowning face ornament. In the background was flames and below that was the word, Spade. For some reason, this person seemed familiar.

"What are you doing?" Ignoring that weird feeling from before, you asked Robin to fill you in.

She hummed and gestured to the people standing next to her. "I'm helping these students with their training for the game they have this weekend."

The large man beside her that had an unusual dress code of only his underpants and a tight stereotypical Hawaiian shirt suddenly snapped his two quadrangular arms together back to back and boomed his voice to the group. "On that note, super training time begins!"

Rubbing your ear, you watched as the group quickly escape down the hallway to the oval that was currently restricted to only sports groups. "Wait, Robin-san! What are they playing?"

Smiling, she eerily spoke in a surprised voice. "Oh? You didn't know? They're playing 'King of the Hill'."

King of the Hill was a surprisingly rough game. The objective was to stay in the specific area chosen by the umpire for as long as possible without anyone other than your teammates. If a person from the opposing team enters, it's called a stalemate where the players may use any type of force to remove their opponent from the area.

After a set of time, the area is changed to another location. How the game is scored is by remaining in the chosen location. A certain amount of points is achieved for how long the players remain in the area. At the end, the points are tallied and the winner is the team with the most.

The number of players in the area can be of any range, as long as it is only your team. If the game ends in a tie, which is rare, an elected person from each team will fight to stay in an area. If the person from your team is completely out of the circle first, then the opponent wins. The same vice versa.

Equipment used in the game is body armour, helmets, a weapon and a tool of the players' choice, and water. Fist to fist fighting is allowed.

"Oh, and killing is an immediate disqualification. Serious injury is allowed but the umpire is allowed to pull a red card." The florist smiled and patted your shoulder. "It is recommended for fifteen up but younger is allowed." Sweating a bit, you nodded slowly.

"And they... allow this in schools?" Laughing darkly, the older women nodded.

"Generally, but it is most common in private or off the chart schools. Most public schools do not participate but there are a few government official schools. Such as the team we're facing this weekend."

Understanding the situation, you turned back to the sparring players. As the game was a fighting sport, they had to practice often off the field. Noticing the person from before, you felt your heart ache a little. Who was he?

Robin noticed you looking towards the sparring players and consequently tapped your shoulder to gain your attention. "Yes?"

Smiling lightly, she pointed to each person, naming them slowly. "That one there is Zoro-san. He's an exceptional player that prefers using three swords when fighting. He actually does kendo training with Mihawk-san often. The man himself said that he would surpass him one day." Now that shocked you. Everyone knew Mihawk Hawkeyes was the number one swordsman in the world for all types. Either kendo or fencing, using a knife or a two-metre-long sword. He was the best.

"I know. It's a miracle that it hasn't gotten out yet. Anyway, that's Sanji-san. A ladies' man who is the best cook in the Baratie, and the apprentice of Red-Leg Zeff in both cooking and fighting. He's additionally a professional at his own martial arts, Black-Leg Style." Wide-eyed, you couldn't help but ask.

"Baratie?! As in the Baratie? The five-star world-known restaurant which needs a year to make a reservation?!"

She smiled and nodded. "The very same."

"What is with this team?!" Giggling softly, she agreed wholeheartedly.

"Yes, it is a rather wild team."

[to everyone] Q: Do I play sports?
[personal] A: Yeah. I do martial arts, karate. I like playing soccer but I don't actually do it as a sport. In the past, I've done dance but I've stopped now.
