3 (Part 2)

Ikr. "Hanna, you posted this is January of last year and NOW your deciding to update it after over a year has passed?"

Yes, yes I am :'] why am I this way??

Donnie's POV

"April I don't think this is a very good idea to proceed, I should go back to the lab and work on an antidote to turn me back." Donnie told April, slightly out of breath.

"Come on Donnie! I left a note on the pizza boxes for your brothers, and it won't be for the long." April said dragging Donnie to the ladder entrance of the sewer drain.

"April i'm sure someone will notice something suspicious might be down here if they spot a fourteen year old and a sixteen year old hop out of a sewer drain like it's an everyday thing. Which it is, for us but, not to anybody else!" Donnie said, trying to convince April to let him get back to his work. "I don't even have shoes on." April looked up and down at Donnie with a great deal of interest. "April are you even listening to me?" Donnie asked, slightly irritated.

"Yeah, yeah totally I am," She said, not totally convincing me. "Not a lot of people wear shoes in NYC Dee, they usually rush out the door with flip flops and some people forget 'em most of the time. You'll fit right in!" She said with a grin but it immediately faltered when she looked up at Donnie's head. "Well actually," April said, starting to reach off and take his googles off his head, Donnie moved his head back in response to the surprise gesture.

"Hey, calm down, you know I don't like to be touched." Donnie whined, looking over to see his googles in April's hands.

"You have to take off you mask Dee, everyone's gonna think your trying rob a store or something."

"Is that a good thing?" Donnie ask confused.

April giggled. "Dee I thought you were the 'smart one'" April giggled again. Donnie blushed at her response.

"Of course I know robbing isn't good, I was only kidding." Donnie said half genuinely.

"Well good, I'm gonna have to take that mask off now, you can keep the googles, but you gotta lose the mask." April said holding out Donnie's googles for him to take.

"Fine, sure." Donnie said grabbing his goggles. April moved her hands up to Donnie's face with a small smile. April moved her arms around Donnie's neck, which he didn't even notice that she was going to take off his mask for him. He jumped a bit from how close she was but it seemed more like a hug so he didn't mind. April quickly untied the mask and jumped back looking down at the mask.

"See Dee, it doesn't hurt to take off your mask once in a-" April paused when she looked up at Donnie.

"You okay?" Donnie asked looking over at her, as she started to fiddle with his headband, causing him to cringe mentally as his OCD realized how many wrinkles that could causing in that small piece of fabric.

"H-huh? Yeah, sorry. I just think you look real good." April said, causing Donnie to blush slightly, which actually looked noticeable on his pale cheeks. April did think he looked quite attractive, she might even go as far to say that she liked this form of Donnie better. She shook her head. "Sorry, you can put your googles back on." April said, tearing her eyes away from Donnie. "Come on! Let's go! We can go anywhere together now, i'm gonna show you true city life Dee." April said with a burst of enthusiasm.

"Oh how fun." Donnie said with the exact opposite amount of enthusiasm as April, sliding his googles back onto his head neatly, a few loose strands of jet black hair falling around his face.

The two climbed through the sewer, and after a bit of arguing April finally managed to convince Donnie that the coast was clear and he could crawl out of the sewer drain.

("No one's here Dee! Come on! Live a little!"

"I could no longer be living the life I prefer if anybody spots us!")

Donnie looked around the buildings surrounding the drain, letting out a sigh of relief and finally relaxing, now knowing that no one was watching them exit the sewers.

"Come on Dee, let's go hang out somewhere!" April said, grabbing Donnie's wrist and tugging him a bit.

"Where would you even like to go?" Donnie asked confused, reluctantly following April's demands and harsh tugs.

"There's a lot of places Dee! Restaurants, attractions, I know theres a few museum's you'd like." April said with a small smile, loosening her grip on Donnie's wrist.

Donnie's ears perked with interest at the idea of going to a museum for once in the morning, and one that was not abandoned for a change. "April i'm sure you would be bored out of your mind watching me jump around the, possibly fake," Donnie mumbled. "Attractions at the museum."

April hummed. "You may be right Dee, you know me too well at this point," April replied, moving her hand down to Donnie's hand rather then his boney wrist, not even noticing herself do such action. "But this is your day Dee, your a human for a day, you get to choose what we get to do."

Donnie's indecisive ideas started to pop through his head. 'The park? No we always go there, even if it is abandoned most of the time, it's never different. An attraction? As much as I would enjoy complaining about different types of attractions and their accurate depictions, I would want April to be entertained as well during this new experience. Think Donnie..'

"Uh, how about the movies?" Donnie suggested, Donnie froze with insecurities from his own answer, finally noticing his and April's hand's being connected, but was immediately distracted from it by April's response.

"Sure! If you want to go for it we totally can go, I got a lot of money in my pockets today so we can go do whatever." April said leading the way, both their hands still connected, Donnie looked down and blushed her interlocked his fingers with hers and April finally seemed to notice, she turned her head around towards Donnie and looked down at their hands, Donnie did the same until them both looked up at each other with a prominent blush on both their faces.

"We can hold hands, it's nice, you know, having the same amount of fingers as you seems nice." April giggled and then covered her face. "That was a bad one I know." She blushed. Donnie smiled and tightened his grip on her hand. Giving April a small smile, April returning it as well. "Here, you don't need to pull out your high-tech GPS nonsense Donnie, it'll give away too much attention anyways," April mumbled to Donnie.

"I was just gonna pull out my phone to look for the nearest theater April geez." Donnie chuckled.

"Oh your not foolin' anybody Dee." April said dragging Donnie down the sidewalk, earning a joking eye roll from Donnie. "Don't worry, I know this city like the back of my hand Dee, I can get us there."

"That I highly doubt, but i'll trust your judgement." Donnie said, willingly following April. Donnie did usually go out with April and his brothers often, but him and his brothers were usually stared at or asked why our skin was green and we would have to make up a lame excuse like, 'We're cosplaying.' Or, 'It's a skin condition.' It was a nice addition to just hang out with April and not be asked questions or be stared at on the street.

"Here it is!" April said happily, putting her hand out as if she we're selling the large theater.

"It was a lucky shot that we got here without getting lost." Donnie said smug-like.

"I'll be honest I didn't even think we would get here so quickly." April giggled.

"Of course you didn't." Donnie said.

"Come on, I made us here, let's go watch a movie, I wanna watch one with chaos in it!" April said, squeezing Donnie's hand, Donnie just now noticing how long they have held their hands together, some people would assume their hands were super glued together somehow.

"Speaking of chaos, whose taking care of Mayhem right now?" Donnie asked, as he pushed open the door for April, earning a quiet 'thank you' from her.

"Oh, no one, I just asked the neighbor If they could just bang in the door once in a while to hear from him to make sure he did 't teleport anywhere. They believe me now after an incident that occurred the other night." April looked up at Donnie's cute, confused face (Wait-). "He teleported into on of their cat pens because he likes their chew toys." She explained.

He gave out an impressed look and chuckled. "Ah Donnie look! Man, I've totally been wanting to watching this movie!" April said, pointing to one of the movies on display

Donnie scoffed. "The original in 1986 looks more high quality then this sort of CGI child's play."

"Well what do you wanna watch Dee?" April asked.

"Not sure." Donnie said looking around at the options.

"Hope about that one? You guys always talk about how you want to watch a comedy." April said pointing to another movie.

"Not that one, way too much toilet humor jokes."

"Yeesh, good thing we didn't watch that one." April cringed.

"How about that one?" Donnie said pointing to a movie on display. "You did say you wanted chaos, and that movie has lot of it judging by the screen."

"Whoah! I've heard that movie's real good! I'm down to watch it if you are!" April asked.

Donnie shrugged. "Sure."

April and Donnie started moving towards the line near the ticket booth, April finally split their two hands apart as they waited in line so April could grab out the exact about of money she needed for the tickets. Donnie looked down at his hand full of sweat, it glistened in the theaters monotoned lighting. He kinda got use to holding hands with April that he felt weird not holding her hand, he just shrugged it off and wiped his wet hand practically dripping with sweat. April counted up to money again to make sure it was enough and asked for two tickets to the movie was decided to watch.

Donnie put his arms down at his side and watched as April paid for the tickets. Donnie kinda felt bad not being able to pay for her but he knew he couldn't exactly get a job while looking like a mutant, well, without anyone giving him any stares or questions at least, he'd probably 'scare off the children.' Or something.

Donnie's argument in his head came to an abrupt halt as he felt someone grab his hand. He looked down and saw that April grabbed Donnie's hand at his side. He smiled slightly down the small gesture.

"Okay you two lovebirds, enjoy the movie." The slim, teenage ticket guy behind the booth said, handing April the two tickets.

"Uh, thanks." April said, grabbing the tickets and walking away from the booth, hands with Donnie connected. "Guys and girls can be friends and hold hands." April mumbled, hiding a blush on her face, walking a bit closer to Donnie, clutching the two tickets. This made Donnie smile down at her. "You want some popcorn?" April asked.

"You go ahead, I think you've been spending a bit much on me and my brothers today, and every day honestly." Donnie let slip out. "It's okay Dee, I don't mind, really. It's your one day at being human! Gonna enjoy it right?" She said happily, nudging Donnie slightly.

"Well yeah but, you do it everyday, i'm starting to feel guilty is all." Donnie explained.

"Dee, as long as your happy, i'll be happy man, I know it's extremely cheesy, but I get real happy whenever your happy- and when your brothers are too I guess." April added at the end.

Donnie laughed. "Fine, get the big one though, it's a better price and it seems bigger then two medium one's combined."

"Dee, you are a genius."

"Guilty as charged."

Ik, i'm super annoying. "Three parts?! U serious rn?!"

Uh, yes? Part 3 anyone??? (Ik sorry <:T)
