"The feeling that I'm losing her forever

And without really entering her world"

* * *

Everybody knowing was not good.

River could not walk around the (already overwhelming), creepy house without being stared at or having a question about their relationship thrown at her. Not to mention the odd looks Charlie sent her way. She was previously uncomfortable but now it was even worse!

It seemed as though they expected her entire business to be laid out on a silver platter for them to pick at and find out every fine detail. She hated that. The sense of privacy was thrown out of the window, how people could live like this she did not know.

Mrs Weasley, as lovely as she was, was the worst of them all. Questions seemed to flow out of her like tickets at an arcade game of which you won the jackpot on. There has to be a spell someone could perform to shut her up? Surely? As bad as she felt thinking like that, in some respects, if she wasn't going to stop, something would have to be done.

Even Mr and Mrs Dawson were not asking as many questions. In fact, they did not ask any at all, but perhaps that was because they were never around to ask them. Did they even know that Bill and River were together? She wasn't sure. Even Eros was barely ever there. She saw more of Remus and Sirius than anyone else in the house, and she saw a lot of people constantly.

Being in the house made her really crave to be back travelling. She took for granted the serenity and space she had when she was out seeing the world. So much made her wish to continue and that was her plans yet, after everything she had found out and all that had gone on she felt tied to staying put.

Nowhere will ever tied her down and get away with it.

"Oh dear! You must tell me, what was yours and Bill's first date like?"

Another damn question!

She chewed the inside of her cheek, answered the question very swiftly, not rudely, simply succinctly and then excused herself to her room. That was the final straw. She was going. End of story.

Packing her backs she hid away in the room until Bill got home from work, whatever he did, she couldn't quite remember all she could recollect was that enable him to travel and was somewhat dangerous.

"You're off then." He said shortly, leaning against the back of the door with his arms crossed.

River nodded, "You knew my plans were to get back out there."

"I know but I didn't expect it so soon?"

"I don't plan remember, I just do. I'm a spontaneous person, Bill, you know that."

Bill sulked like a child as she continued to pack bits up. She was right, everything she said she had done so previously. He didn't move from where he was until she pulled him towards her.

Neither said a word, they simply did what they did best and what they did when they first met. It was risky, Eros could have walked in at any point, actually, anyone could have but they didn't care.

They both needed this.

It was the first time in a while that they had made love, River had been hesitant because of the negative thoughts she had about herself but in that moment it felt right.

"I'm yours, Bill." Said River breathlessly, leaning her head on his chest, their beads of sweating joining as one.

"Yes you are, as am I yours."

"I'm going to come back to you, I would never leave you forever."

Bill kissed her as if his life depended on it. It certainly felt like it did. She had turned his world upside down and he was crazy for her. Nobody had ever had him so infatuated. It was as if she had a spell on him, call him bonkers but it did. She was mesmerising, even more so as he felt their bare skin touching, her fingertips tracing shapes on his chest, twirling his chest hair.

"Merlin, I hope not." he whispered, if he said it any louder he was afraid his voice would crack. He buried his face into her hair and kissed her head repeatedly. "Where are you going?"

"I'm not saying."

"What? Why?"

"Because we always find a way back to each other, where's the fun in finding one another if I tell you where I will be?"

He sighed. As usual she was right.

Squeezing her, he vowed silently to never lose her. If he did, he had no clue what would happen. His world would probably crash and burn and his heart would be ripped out of his chest, torn into thousands of pieces and fed to one of Charlie's dragons. He couldn't lose her. he really couldn't.

"Don't go just yet."

"I have to leave at seven."

"But-"

"Non-negotiable I'm afraid."

He sighed once more and took advantage once again of the little time they had left. Then seven o'clock rolled around swiftly, stealing River from Bill. She thanked Sirius for his hospitality, for letting her into his home and bade everyone else goodbye, Remus sending her on her way with a little package of chocolate,. It came as a shock to everyone that she left so abruptly, but a few of them could see from Bill's eyes that this was not so spontaneously, he knew it was going to happen at some point, he was simply waiting for the time to come.

No one saw much of Bill that evening, except Buckbeak who enjoyed the silent company, offering his wing to comfort Bill who unashamedly curled up in it.

Meanwhile, a few hours later River stepped off of a plane welcoming the fresh Belgian air. She missed Bill already, but she needed to find her home, she needed to find herself and being cooped up in 12 Grimmauld Place was not going to help her with that.
