Visiting
Levi walked up to the room and took a deep breath. He fixed his clothes that he had been wearing all night. He masked all his emotions and checked his phone camera to make sure there were no visible trace of any of the tears that he had cried. He nodded and put away his phone before walking in the room. He wanted to be there in this man's time of need he didn't need to burden him with his own issues.
Molbit looked up at Levi as he walked in the room. He immediately hung his head in shame remembering the man that warned him about the hard times and long nights. "What are you doing here?" He mumbled. He had not expected to see this man ever again. He saw this man once and was offered help, but he never reached out. "Did the nurse track you down?" He kept his face hidden as much as possible to hide his shame.
"The better question is why are you here. You promised you would contact me if things got to rough." Levi said as he sat down next to the man. He didn't yell he just sounded disappointed, like a parent talking to their kid about bad grades. He looked over him and noticed he was still in restraints. When he got a better look at the restraints he saw they were made out of a leather sort of material, most -likely so they wouldn't cut into his arms if he pulled against them.
"How could you possibly help, I know you said you know what it's like, but do you really? Do you really know the excruciating pain of losing your wife to cancer and then not even a year later lose your daughter. Do you know what it's like to be left alone, to have nobody. How could you possibly know what that feels like?" The more Molbit spoke the more his voice raised and the more tears slipped down his face.
"I know what it's like because I've been through it, several times for that matter." Levi said in a hushed tone trying to distance himself to keep his emotions under his mask. "You can take my word for it or I can give you an explanation it่'s up to you." Levi said sighing as he leaned back in the chair.
"Please explain." Molbit said in a more quiet voice realizing his outburst was rude and out of line. He stayed quiet as Levi began to speak. Levi told him about the survey corp, about his friends, and how they died. He spared the gruesome details, but made sure to get his point across.
"I'm sorry." Molbit said quietly when he realized just how much pain the other man was in. Molbit felt a little hint of guilt when he realized that he was complaining to the man before him about lose and he has lost more than he could ever imagine. He felt like an ass when his words played back in his head. 'How could you possibly help?' He thought just how disrespectful it must have sounded.
"It's fine I wasn't looking for pity, I just wanted you to know that I understand your pain, I know what it feels like." Levi gave the man a soft heartfelt smile before he gave the next statement. "Now believe me when I say it hurts, the pain never fully goes away. However, it gets better and easier. If you remember the good times with them the bad seem to fade away." Levi said as his happy memories of Eren played in his head as he tried to forget the current situation he was in.
"Thank you." Molbit whispered grateful to Levi for being honest and still trying to help him. "If I may ask," Molbit spoke in a hushed tone. "Who are you visiting? The only reason I ask is because I saw you here crying a few days ago and you're back again today. I pretty sure you didn't come for me." Molbit said trying to be respectful. "You don't have to answer if you don't want to."
"I was here for my friend the other day, she had us all worried with a minor head injury." Levi took a deep breath before continuing. "As for today I'm here for the guy who was with me when I was leaving." Levi explained as his lip started to quiver.
Eren who was watching from the doorway heard the change in Levi's voice and the change of his attitude. He could feel his lover's misery and pain. "I'm sorry Levi, if I knew how to wake I would, But don't worry I won't stop trying. I'll never stop trying." Eren said as tears came to his eyes.
"He must be important you seemed really protective over him." Molbit said sweetly as he watched Levi start to fidget. "Who is he?" Molbit asked in a calm voice. "He-he's my boyfriend." Levi's breath hitched as he felt tears form in his eyes.
