Authors note... I lost the last bit of my dignity writing this poem so you better enjoy it. 

The car ride was mostly silent aside from the music on the radio and the occasional humming Eren would do when he really liked a song. Levi pulled into a parking lot and stopped the car. "Eren we're here." Levi said snapping Eren out of his thoughts. Eren looked up to see a open grassy area. There was a few trees spread out around the area giving it nice shaded areas. There was a few wild flowers growing, and there was even a large pond. It just looked like an overall peaceful area. There were only a few other people who were a good distance away. "Where are we?" Eren asked after he took in the nice view.

"We are at a park I used to come to to clear my head. It seemed like a beautiful place, and I wanted to share it with you." Levi said smiling. "Come on let's go." Levi said opening the door and walking over to Eren's side opening the boy's door. "You hungry?" Levi asked as Eren stepped out of the car. "A little." Eren answered as his stomach growled. Levi nodded and opened the trunk of the car. He pulled out a blanket and a basket. "Why don't we stay a little while?" Levi asked smiling. Eren nodded smiling back.

They chose a spot underneath a tree close to the pond. Levi laid out the blanket and Eren looked over at the pond. He noticed a few ducks and some fish. "This really is a beautiful area." Eren whispered to himself as he looked over the glistening water. He looked back to Levi who was sitting on the blanket. Levi gave the blanket a pat gesturing for Eren to join him. Eren sat down next to Levi with a slight wince, which he hoped Levi didn't catch, but of course he did. "Is your ankle still bothering you?" Levi asked looking at it. "I'll be fine it was just a long walk from the car that's all." Eren said not completely lying. "Are you sure." Levi asked catching the lie. "I'm sure." Eren said giving Levi a smile.

Levi decided to just drop it, but if Eren showed any sign of pain he would immediately help him in any way he could. Levi sighed and grabbed the basket. He grabbed the sandwiches out of the bag and handed one to Eren. He thanked Levi and smiled. They sat under the tree eating their sandwiches. There seemed to be a breeze here so it wasn't as hot as they thought it would be. Levi finished his sandwich before Eren, and pulled out a piece of paper scribbling down some words. "Whatcha writing?" Eren asked leaning his head on Levi's shoulder. "You'll see in a minute." Levi said as he turned the page away from Eren so he couldn't see it. Levi kept scribbling a smile and a little blush visible as he wrote. When he finished he read over it before handing it to Eren. Eren looked at the note. It was a poem titled does he realize. It read:

Seeing him sit there makes my blood rush and my heart pound

My stomach gets butterflies and my speech gets jumbled

He looks at me and all I can hear is my thoughts in the background

I love him is all I manage to mumble

His eyes look into mine and I can't help but smile

When he smiles back my heart skips a beat

Each night I debate whether or not to call or even dial

When he speaks I feel the blood rush to my cheeks with heat

When we first kissed I felt like screaming to the world I loved him

So I just whispered it in his ear because he is my world

When I'm with him life is never grim

I can't help but run my fingers through his hair tangled, and curled

Though it can never be

Society is not as accepting

For I am a guy and so is he

In our life style who are we affecting

Screw society and hateful onlookers

All that matters is our love for each other

Why can't society accept us, but accept hookers

Hateful comments pile in oh look there's another

Nothing will hold me back from my love

So we'll stay together no matter who we piss off

People's feelings are as fragile as doves

Because just seeing two men together they scoff

Our love overpowers all the hate

We will endure it for each other's sake

We have trouble when we go on dates

We are always followed by hateful comments that almost make us break

Does he realize how much I love him

Does he love me the same

Does he realize what I would do for him

Would he do the same

Eren finished the note and quickly hugged Levi. "Did you just make this up right now?" Eren asked with his face in the crook of Levi's neck. "Yeah, I know it's really sappy, but I really do mean what I wrote." Levi said blushing. Eren released Levi from the hug to just crash his lips against his lover's. "I love you Levi." Eren said into the kiss. Levi kissed back and wrapped his arms around Eren pulling him close. They never kissed out in public before, and at the moment they couldn't care about their surroundings. Eren felt a little scared kissing Levi out in public, but he didn't care he pushed his fear aside.

Eren pulled away from the kiss. "I love this surprise." Eren said looking around and smiling at the beautiful scenery around them and the note that was still in his hand. "Well the full surprise is that all day today I have planned activities for us to do so we can enjoy ourselves and have fun." Levi said and smiled. "Really, there's more." Eren exclaimed with a huge smile on his face. He felt like a little kid whose parents said they were going to Disneyland. "Yup." Levi said with a smile. "We've got a busy day ahead of us." Levi said as Eren hugged him tightly.
