Levi walked back to Hanji's room as thoughts swarmed his mind. 'Why did that guy comfort me when he is the one that needs to be comforted? Why did he just smile through his pain, to help a stranger?' Levi thought as he rounded the corner making is way to Hanji's room. Levi walked in and he was faced with the two's awkward smiles once again. "Still nerding out over anime?" Levi asked looking between the two. "Yup." Hanji replied. "Well anyways, I brought snacks." Levi said throwing Eren two bags of chips. One for him and one for Hanji. Levi sat down next to him and opening his bag.

They hung out for a little while longer. That was until Hanji decided to kick them out. "Alright guys, you've been here for over two hours. Go home, I'll be fine. Go make out!" Hanji rose her voice and smiled. "Shhh Hanji!" Levi said poking his head out of the room to make sure no one heard her. "Guys go home. I'll be home tomorrow." Hanji said shooing them out. "Have fun you two!" Hanji yelled as they left the room, practically covering there faces. Eren blushed and Levi rolled his eyes.
As they walked down the hall Levi heard a bone chilling beep. It sent chills up both their spines. When Levi looked in the room. He realized what had just happened, and his heart sank. "Oh no." Levi whispered as he froze in the hallway. Eren looked at him with a questioning glance. The man from the bathroom walked out of the hospital room with the now gloomy atmosphere. His eyes were puffy and he had tear stains on his face from the still falling tears. He noticed Levi and gave him a sad soft smile. "It was her time to go, and it was my time to let her." The man said to Levi. "I'm so sorry." Levi said to the man as he placed a hand on his shoulder. "I had to let her go, she wasn't really living. She was already gone. She's in a better place now." The man said attempting to wipe his eyes and clear away the tears, but he achieved nothing. His tears kept flowing.
He flashed Levi a kind hearted and pure smile. "I'm glad to see you're feeling better." The man said kindly. "But you-." Levi went to speak but got cut off. "I'll be fine eventually. Pain doesn't last forever." The man said before saying his goodbye to Levi. Levi and Eren gave him their condolences. "Before you go here take this." Levi said handing the man his number. "I've lost a lot of loved ones in my time. I know some nights are harder than others. If you ever need someone to talk to my phones always on." Levi said with a sympathetic smile. Eren's jaw almost dropped to the floor, he has never seen Levi show a smile to a stranger. "Thank you." The man said with kind eyes. The man bowed his head and made his way to the bathroom to wash away his tears. Eren stood there confused, but decided not to question anything.
The two walked silently to the car. Once they had both gotten in and closed the door, Eren threw his arms around Levi. "Are you okay?" Eren asked referring to Levi's flashback, and what the man had said. "Actually, I am." Levi said and his mood seemed to have changed for the better. "Good, I'm glad." Eren said as he held Levi. Levi smiled and placed a kiss on Eren's forehead. "Let's head home." Levi said after pecking Eren's lips with a small kiss. He placed the key in the ignition, but waited as a car pulled up beside them . "Levi." Eren said his voice filled with concern. "I know Eren." Levi shut off the car and waited for the man to walk out from the familiar car.
