"Levi, why are you saying this." Eren said as he still was gripping onto Levi for dear life, not even bothering to hold back his tears. Levi picked up his head and turned towards Eren. He grabbed him by his shoulders and looked him in the eyes. "Because I can't protect you Eren!" Levi yelled as tears continued to stream down his face, he seemed to be crying this whole time. "Is it because of what just happened because that wasn't your fault!" Eren said raising his voice as he finished the sentence. "It is, you could have been killed. Eren, you are my everything and if that car would have crashed into your side, I would have lost you." Levi said dropping his voice and his head and arms along with it.

Eren could tell Levi was already jumpy from the dream and now with the drunk driver it sent him past his breaking point. "Levi, I'm, okay nothing happened to me and that's because you acted when you did." Eren said grabbing Levi by his wrists. "But what if I didn't?" Levi asked quietly in a scared tone as his head still faced the ground. "It still wouldn't have been our fault Levi. It would be the drunk driver's fault." Eren said as Levi lowered his head more. "It still doesn't matter. I can't protect you. I can't protect you from your dad, I can't protect you from his friends. What if people from my past really are out for revenge? They'll come after you. What good am if I can't protect the ones I love, if I can't protect you?" Levi said clenching his fists as Eren still had a grip of his wrists.

Eren pulled Levi forward into his arms and wrapped them around him. "That's not your fault either, none of those things are your fault. I am the one that told you not to get involved, and besides you are protecting me because in a week I'll be out of that hell hole, out of danger. All because of you. Levi, without you I would still have to live there. Actually without you I might not be here in general. Levi I need you." Eren finished talking and Levi's muscles relaxed a bit in Eren's embrace, at his words. Eren's words struck deeper than the phrase I love you. The phrase I love you can be said without meaning , it can be thrown around and mean nothing. The phrase I need you, it haves love carved into it. It shows how much Eren needs him, cares for him, and loves him. Levi gave a nod and hugged Eren back tightly. "Eren I need you too." Levi said as he tightened his grip around the boy. "We probably look like weirdos, we're standing in the street crying and hugging." Eren said chuckling lightly threw his tears. Levi gave small laugh and rolled his eyes.

Although it felt like they could say their forever they decided they needed to get a move on. They released each other. Eren looked Levi in the eyes before wiping away his tears with a soft smile. "I hate to see these beautiful eyes so cloudy and sad, any way to make it better?" Eren asked as he finished wiping Levi's tears with his thumbs. "I just need a kiss." Levi said quietly. Eren leaned in and placed a soft gentle kiss on Levi's lips making Levi give a small soft smile."We should probably get a move on before we're late." Levi said pouting. They got back in the car and Eren checked the time. "Good thing we left early." Eren laughed. "Wait a minute." Levi said as a thought crossed his mind. "Who the hell is drunk around seven a.m.!" Levi yelled in annoyance at some peoples stupidity. "Idiots." Eren replied laughing at Levi's expression and shrugging his shoulders. "Levi?" Eren asked in a serious tone. "Yeah?" "Please never scare me like that again." Eren said referring to what happened that long ago. 'I'm no good for you.' The words played over in his mind each word pushing the knife deeper in his heart. "I'm sorry Eren, I won't. I wasn't in my right mind." Levi said admitting his head was clouded by the dream and the incident.
