Eren opened the door to hear people talking. He made his way past the chatter. After he finished sneaking past his dad and hi friends, he ran up the stairs to the best of his ability. He was sure to stay light on his feet, not daring to make a noise. He got up to his room and silently closed the door. "What the hell are they doing here so early?" Eren whispered to himself leaning against the door. 'It doesn't matter Mikasa is already gone.' Eren thought relieving some of his stress. Eren grabbed enough clothes for the next few days and started to shove them in his bag. Once he was finished he open his door and slowly crept out closing it behind him. He slowly made his way down the stairs trying to listen to the people in the next room. He was about to make a run for the door when one of the men rounded the corner, probably on his way to use the restroom. Eren stopped dead in his tracks as the man looked at him. "How's it going." The man said approaching the boy. As he got closer he noticed the hickey Levi had gave him just a few hours prior. "I thought we told you, you're ours." The man said poking Eren's hickey. "Bite me." Eren's words were dripping with hatred as he glared at him. Eren then took the opportunity to duck under the man's arm and ran out the front door. Running as fast as he can on his ankle he made it to Levi's car."

Eren jumped in Levi's car as fast as he could and threw his bag in the back seat. "Drive!" Eren said frantically as he seen the front door open. Levi was confused but didn't question Eren and he slammed his foot on the gas. The car took off like a bullet and sped away from the house. The man had opened the door and saw the car drive away but couldn't catch the licenses plate since the car was to far away. He walked back into the house with an annoyed look across his face. "Grisha." The man called Eren's dad. "What?" Grisha replied looking up at the man. "Where is your son going?" The man said trying to hide any interest in his voice. "He's staying at a friends house for the next three or so days for a group project. Good riddance." Grisha said getting up and grabbing another beer. "Oh, I see." The man said the annoyance in his voice growing. He looked at the other two men with an expression that read, what now.

"What was that about." Levi asked with concern laced in his tone. "I didn't want my dad's friends to get your licenses plate." Eren said looking out the back window for the third time just to make sure they weren't followed. "They were there!" Levi said as his eyes burning with anger. "Did they lay a hand on you, because I swear I will turn this car around and kick there asses." Levi said enraged at the thought. "No, but one of them did talk to me, but I told him to bite me then I got the hell out." Eren said a bit proud of himself. "Okay, well I'm glad you're okay." Levi said sighing in relief and releasing his anger.

Levi was heading home. Eren smiled widely grinning ear to ear as he remembering their plans. "What's with the smile." Levi asked noticing the sudden change in Eren's behavior. "You said you'd watch death note." Eren said happily. "And you promised to bake with me." Levi smiled back. "Yup, oh and after death note you should read another note." Eren said excited. "What's it about?" Levi asked wanting to hear Eren's excited tone that he gets when he talks about anime. "It takes place before death note, but you have to watch death note to know what they are saying in a few parts. The main character L is trying to catch the serial killer Beyond Birthday." Eren said starting to explain. He continued on avoiding spoilers from both another note and death note. "Sounds interesting." Levi said half paying attention. He was mostly paying attention to Eren's face. As Eren described anime he always had this genuine smile, a excited tone, and his face always gleams with bright emotions. Eren felt safe through anime, enough to let his guard down, and Levi loves that about him.

"Hey are you even listening to me?" Eren asked looking at Levi with an annoyed look as he thought he was ignoring him. "Yes brat I'm listening." Levi said cutting off his sentence there, even though he had a lot more things to say. 'I'm listening to you pour your heart out. I'm listening to your joyfulness I'm listening you feel comfortable enough to be yourself in front of me. I'm listening to not only your words but your body language and thoughts. I'm listening.' Levi thought what he didn't have the courage to say out loud. Eren smiled and he continued explaining the book. Levi pulled up to the house and parked the car right as Eren was finishing up his spoiler free summary or the book. "So, do you think You want to try reading-." Levi cut Eren off by crashing his lips on Eren's.
