Chapter 7

"Lil Todoroki!"

Izuku whirled around at the shout. It was week two of college, and he'd just gotten out of his Multimedia class. It had been pretty uneventful; he still sat in the middle of the class while Shinsou stayed at the back. Their little hangout session appeared to have no direct effects on their school lives.

He spotted two of his brother's friends, Sero and Kaminari if he remembered correctly. It had been the dark-haired man who had shouted, but they both frantically waved him over with enthusiastic smiles plastered across their faces. He glanced around to make sure his older brother wasn't around, thinking there was no way they were calling out to him. Sero just pointed a finger at him, a clear sign that they were talking to Izuku. He briskly walked over to them, one strap of his school bag hanging on his shoulder.

"I'm not little or a Todoroki, but good effort," he muttered, looking between them as if waiting for some punchline. Throughout his life, a few of his brothers' friends had tried to reach out to him, but it was usually just either getting information on the other boys or trying to get on their good side. His guard was up in seconds.

Sero's eyes went wide at the correction, and his smile went from happy to sheepish. "Oh shit, sorry. Midoriya, right?" he asked, Izuku's last name coming out slow and unsure.

"That is in fact my name. Good job," Izuku drawled, in no mood to play nice with Bakugou's friends. Maybe if they were closer to Todoroki, like Shinsou was, he'd give them a chance, but anything to do with the blond was a no-go.

"Midoriya, then," Kaminari said, bumping his hip against Sero's and slightly pushing the other man to the side. "We were just wondering if you wanted to come back to our place and hang out. We've got a shit ton of video games." The blond wiggled his eyebrows like he already knew that video games were the way to Izuku's heart.

They weren't.

Izuku glanced around for any sign of his two-toned brother. When he once again came up empty, he turned back to the men in front of him. "You know Shoto's not gonna like you more for offering me a pity hang out, right?" he asked with one unimpressed brow raised.

The two men shared a confused look before Sero spoke. "Um, personally, I don't really care if Todoroki likes me or not."

"Kacchan won't give a fuck either," Izuku said with a shrug. If they weren't after one brother, they were after the other. It didn't matter to him; he was done being a pawn for people to get to his family.

Sero actually laughed, holding onto Kaminari's shoulder to keep himself upright. "Please, I don't give a fuck what blasty thinks. We seriously just want to hang out with you, Midoriya."

Izuku's brows furrowed as he looked at the twin puzzles in front of him that just weren't making any sort of sense. "You... want to hang out with me? Like, just me? For no other reason? Seriously?"

He realized a few hours later just how utterly depressing those questions were.

Sero moved from Kaminari's side to Izuku's, throwing an arm over his shoulder and leading him in the direction of the campus parking lot. "Yes, dude. You're funny and not scared to have a screaming match with Bakugou. It's not every day you find someone like that, you know?"

Izuku looked between the two of them, still beyond confused at what was going on. "You guys have incredibly low standards for friends."

"Well, we are friends with Bakugou, so I guess you're right," Kaminari said with a laugh, bumping Izuku's shoulder with his own.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Kaminari, I am going to kick your ass!" Izuku shouted, furiously mashing the buttons on his controller as he tried to get his character to some form of cover. He was too slow, and suddenly a kill cam took over his screen, showing the exact shot that had killed him.
The three men were in the living room of Bakugou's shared house, playing some sort of first-person shooter game in a free-for-all match. It had been at least two hours since they'd started and Izuku was really getting into the game. He'd stumbled around the first few rounds, not really sure how to play, but Sero had been more than happy to explain the mechanics and rules. After that, he picked it up remarkably quick.
"That's was Sero! Spare me, God Mido!" Kaminari cried as he saw Izuku respawning and gunning for the blond's position on the map.
Sero let out a loud laugh from his spot on the couch. He was leaning against one armrest while Izuku sat a few feet away, his elbows resting on his knees as he was fully engrossed in the game. Kaminari sat crisscrossed on the floor between them. "Don't give him credit for my skills, dude. It was all me."
"You're both dead, it's all the same to me," Izuku muttered, his eyes not leaving the screen for a second.
"How long have you three been in here?" The voice of Shinsou momentarily distracted him, just enough for Sero to get another headshot on him.
"Fuck! I'm throwing," Izuku whined, slumping back against the couch as he waited to respawn.
Kaminari shrugged one shoulder, still clicking around on his controller and only half paying attention to the purple-haired man. "I don't know, since, like, ten or something."
"It's three in the afternoon," Shinsou deadpanned back, leaning against the doorway to the living room.
"Ten bucks says Shoto's shitting himself thinking I got kidnapped," Izuku said, once again locked into the game and hunting down Sero. The other guy had killed him twice, he couldn't let that shit slide.
"You kinda did," Sero said with a chuckle that died at the same time as his in-game character. "Where the fuck were you?!"
"I hide in the shadows," Izuku said in a low and menacing voice that made Kaminari nearly fall over laughing.
Shinsou scoffed as he pushed himself off the door frame. "Whatever, you idiots have fun with this."
"I'm literally smarter than you!" Izuku called to his back as he left the room.
"When you were eight, maybe!"
"I've only gotten smarter!"
"Says the guy who was gonna walk through the city in the middle of the night!"
"Seriously, dude?" Sero asked with a soft chuckle. "By yourself?"
Izuku rolled his eyes at the question. "I'm not defenseless."
"You hiding a glock somewhere on that skinny frame of yours?" Kaminari teased, casting a look over his shoulder at Izuku.
Izuku used the moment to his advantage, shooting Kaminari on screen before smirking down at him. "Want to find out?"
"You really are Bakugou's brother," the blond muttered with a shutter as he turned back to the TV.
Speak of the devil, and he shall appear. Bakugou walked into the living room with Kirishima in tow, one brow raised as he looked between his friends and his little brother. "Do I even want to know what you're doing in my house?" he asked with a sigh.
"Your idiots kidnapped me after class, I'm being held hostage, Kacchan," Izuku said in a distracted voice, his eyes catching a flash of movement on the screen that he knew was Sero's character.
Sero clicked his tongue as the respawn slide came on his section of the screen. "We give you a ride to your big brother's place, we entertain you for hours with fun games, and you call us idiots. Are you sure you two aren't biologically related?" he asked, looking between the blond and Izuku.
"Kacchan's dad doesn't have that much game, an inherited trait," Izuku said with a snicker. "One of the reasons I was so confused when I found out Kirishima was dating him, you're really swinging down," he said to the redhead, smirking as he watched Bakugou's jaw clench.
Kaminari shook his head with an amused smile. "Seriously, he's my new god."
"God complex going crazy today," Izuku mumbled as he got lost in the game once again.
"Mido," Kaminari spoke up, tipping his head back until he could see the other man. "You wanna move in? Living with Bakugou would be so much easier if you were here to fight back all the time."
"He's not moving in," Bakugou snapped.
"You're just making me want to, Kacchan," Izuku said in a sing-song voice.
"You can room with me," Kaminari said in a suggestive tone that went right over Izuku's head. He was too preoccupied to pick up on it at the time, about to snipe Sero through a window.
Bakugou's red eyes narrowed into slits, his glare boring into Kaminari's head. "Stay the fuck away from my brother."
"Kaminari, you're officially my new best friend," Izuku said, just wanting to piss Bakugou off and do exactly what he'd said not to.
"Besties," the blond said, shooting a wink at Bakugou with no regard for his own safety.
"Take advantage of him and I swear to god-"
"No one's taking advantage of me, Kacchan," Izuku sighed, annoyed that his brother's mind was constantly in the gutter. He'd scared off practically anyone that had ever been interested in him ever. Izuku didn't get his first kiss until after the blond went off to college because he kept threatening anyone who so much as looked at him.
"Uh, Midoriya?" Kirishima hesitantly spoke up, his eyes darting between his boyfriend and their friends. "Just gonna give you a little heads up, all our friends are queer and completely unable to keep it in their pants."
Izuku momentarily looked away from the game, his eyes flipping from Kirishima, to Sero, and finally to Kaminari, who winked again. "Interesting."
"Oh, Midoriya fucks," Kaminari said with a laugh, shifting over so he was sat between Izuku's legs, his back resting against the couch. It wasn't inherently sexual, but it still made the blood vessels in Bakugou's forehead pop.
"Deku does not fuck," he said through gritted teeth.
"I fuck," Izuku said nonchalantly. He hadn't seen Bakugou in close to two years and hadn't talked to him in one, the blond knew next to nothing about him anymore or what he'd gotten up to his senior year. He wasn't the same clean-cut, innocent nerd he remembered him as.
Kaminari completely abandoned his control in favor of throwing both arms in the air. "He fucks!" he cheered.
"Dude, Bakugou's gonna murder you," Sero said with a chuckle, but Izuku didn't miss the dark look he spared in his direction.
Kirishima wasn't kidding when he said physically incapable of keeping it in their pants, he thought.
"Nah, Mido will protect me," Kaminari said with a smug smile, settling back into his spot between Izuku's knees.
Izuku quickly lifted his legs to sit crisscross on the couch. "My price is defeating my scary brother in combat. You're on your own 'til then," he teased, his focus back on the game. They weren't really getting anywhere in the match, seeing as they kept zoning in and out.
"Oh, fuck," he heard Kaminari mumble. "I was just kidding!" He forced an awkward chuckle from his lips as he cautiously watched the stiff blond standing a few feet away. "Besides, I'm not the one that hid him in my bedroom in the middle of a party!"
Bakugou took a deep breath, his eyes closing as one hand moved to pinch the bridge of his nose. "Deku? What the fuck is he talking about?"
"I was gonna hide in your room, but then you and Kirishima were giggling, so Shinsou let me hang out in his room," Izuku said with a small shrug.
"Eye bags!" Bakugou shouted as he turned on his heels and walked right out of the room.
Kirishima looked between the group on the couch and where his boyfriend had disappeared to. "Uh, I'm gonna go make sure he doesn't get an assault charge," he said while pointing a thumb behind him.
"Go babysit, Kiri," Sero said with a lighthearted chuckle. "We'll keep an eye on Midoriya."
Kirishima loosened a breath and started for the doorway. "That's what I'm afraid of."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"I love that you're reconnecting with the long-lost brother, but a text would have been nice," Todoroki said as he walked into the kitchen just as Bakugou finished with dinner.

Izuku had spent the entire day playing video games with Sero and Kaminari, with Ashido eventually telling him that he had to stay for dinner. He was now sandwiched between the two men at the table, Ashido sitting at one end of the table, Shinsou across from Sero, and Kirishima across from Kaminari. It left the chair right in front of Izuku open for Todoroki to fall into with an annoyed huff. Bakugou brought a big pan of pasta out and sat at the head of the table next to his boyfriend.

"Please, I'm not here for him," Izuku said with a scoff, resting his elbow on the table and propping his chin on his palm. "I was hanging out with Sero and Kaminari, they just happen to be his roommates, unfortunately."

"I'm sitting right here," Bakugou snapped, his hands clenched into fists on either side of his plate.

Izuku barely sparred him a glance. "I hadn't noticed."

"You know what? Fuck you. You don't get to eat any of the food I just made," the blond said, looking seconds away from throwing his fork at Izuku's head.

Todoroki looked exceptionally tired as he tore his heterochromatic eyes from Izuku to Bakugou. "You know he's just doing this to piss you off, right? You're playing right into his hands."

"This is why Touya's my favorite," Izuku grumbled, jutting his lips out in a pout.

"I don't care, he's pissing me off," Bakugou said, leaning back in his chair to glare at the shorter man.

"Everything pisses you off," Sero pointed out, the prongs of his fork directed at his blond friend.

Izuku's pout was gone and replaced with a satisfied smile. "I really like your friends, Kacchan."

"This is so unfair," Ashido whined, slouching in her chair. "I'm the only one that hasn't gotten to hang out with him yet."

Izuku sent a smirk in her direction. "We can hang out after dinner." His tone was just suggestive enough to leave no doubt about his intentions.

He watched as her eyes went comedically wide at the offer, looking between him and Bakugou a few times before she settled on the blond. "Is it supposed to do that?" she asked in a frantic voice.

"No," he said through gritted teeth.

"If I knew flirting with your friends bothered you this much, I would have done it years ago," Izuku said with a laugh, sitting back in his chair and making no move to reach for the food on the table. He wasn't allowed to eat it, after all.

"His friends would have gone to jail," Todoroki said, pushing the giant bowl of pasta toward him. "You were a minor."

Izuku pushed the bowl back with a sarcastic smile. "You'd be surprised how many of them didn't care."

Sero turned his upper body so he was facing Izuku, a smirk taking over his features. "You're into older guys."

"So, you're saying there's a chance," Kaminari said, his eyebrows bouncing up and down as he scooted an inch closer to Izuku's chair.

"Hang on," Ashido said, looking around the table baffled. "He just admitted- That's statutory rape, he wasn't old enough to cons- Are we really breezing right past that?"

"I was joking," Izuku deadpanned. No, I wasn't.

"Oh," she said as she sunk back down in her seat.

Todoroki pushed the bowl of pasta toward Izuku once again, a hard set to his jaw. "Eat before I kick your ass."

Izuku rolled his eyes, but picked up the giant serving spoon and dropped some pasta onto his plate. "You two have the weirdest ways of showing you care," he said to both his brothers.

"This is them caring?" Shinsou asked with a lazy brow raised.

Izuku shrugged one shoulder, "So I've been told."

Pov I made a playlist for this fic, so I might go back and put a list of the songs as like a new chapter at the very beginning of the book, but I don't know yet. Is a playlist something you guys would actually be interested in or no?
