I picked a box up and walked inside. My forehead was sweaty, my purple hair messy, and my bright purple eyes showed tiredness. I looked at my new house my mom made me move to. "Mom, I won't fit in here I know it". I said that night at dinner. "You will to fit in sweetie". She said. I rolled my eyes. "Mind if I finish dinner in my room"? I asked and she nodded. Gabby followed me. "Sis, you ok this isn't like you to leave the table". Gabby said. I sighed. "Sorry Gab it's just mom trying to find Dad, he left the end". I said. "Why hasn't she given up Dad is gone no need to move across the country because of it". I said tear in my eyes and hugged my knees. "I know how you feel". She said then opened the door. I ate my food even though I wasn't hungry. I finished and threw my trash away. I went outside and walked down the street with my blue hoody up. I closed my eyes as I remembered my dad yelling at my mom. "I have to go back Emerson, he's my son". Those words flowed through my head. I looked up to see 3 boys walking down the street. One had the most beautiful eyes I ever saw. I locked eyes with him we both stopped in place until a faint blush covered my face. "Zoie there you are". Gabby yelled, I snapped out of the moment and it began to rain. "Heya sis". I said as I turned around. "YOU SCARED ME"!!! She yelled. "Huh so I shouldn't leave the house through a window"? I asked. She growled. Then she grabbed my wrist and ran to an alley. "Mom's already trying to track dad that murderer". She scolded, "Mom doesn't need to track you to". She said and I rolled. "Dad has a new family he doesn't give a shit about us". I said out of anger. "If he gave a damn then we wouldn't be in this hell". I said standing my ground. I said and grabbed the fire escape ladder to climb it. "Zoie be nice". Gabby said, I looked at her and said. "Since when have you been nice"? She then shook her head a second.
