Comrades

The bird man simply ducked, and the arrow flew over his head.

Slowly, he walked over and picked up the arrow, examining it. His partner, dragging the small boy with him, followed.

"You've made your presence known Asui," the bird man sighed, "I didn't know frogs liked to hide in trees."

"Some do," Tsuyu appeared upside down from the low tree branch. With small effort, she climbed down, crouching next to Ochaco, "Can I have my arrow back Tokoyami?"

"Since when were you on a last name basis?" Ochaco asked quietly. Tsuyu shrugged.

Fumikage Tokoyami threw the arrow back at Tsu, who caught it effortlessly, And put it back in her quiver.

Tenya stepped forward, "Sir Tokoyami, and Sir Shoji I assume. What brings you here?"

"Our search," Fumikage replied, "and a couple of brats..." he glanced sideways at the girl and the boy, as he took his mask off, revealing his bird head. 6 arms appeared from his friend's back.

"We need to hurry," Mezo Shoji spoke, "the Prince is waiting."

Fumikage sighed, "We come with a peace offering. Turn in the exiled Prince, the dragon slayer, and the thief, and the rest of you may leave alive."

"Are you kidding me? They aren't even here!" Kyoka groaned in frustration, lowering her crossbow.

"What about those two?" Eijiro asked, gesturing to the girl and the boy. The boy attempted to yell, but was muffled.

"They are not of your concern," Mezo stated.

"Bullshit," Kyoka raised her crossbow again, "You wouldn't have brought them if they weren't important."

Fumikage muttered something under his breath, and then spoke aloud, "If you don't have the criminals, we'll leave."

"They aren't here," Ochaco said, "that's all you need to know."

"Then we will take our leave," Fumikage turned to his bird and started to climb on.

A yell was heard suddenly, and Mezo stumbled as the boy smacked his head into him, and backed up. An arrow shot out of Tsu's quiver and towards him, as he held his bound hands out. The arrow, now surrounded by a faint purple glow, cut right through the binding, allowing her to move freely.

A few things happened at once.

The boy grabbed the unconscious girl, and pulled her behind him, as random items began to float, and surround him. Fumikage and Mezo drew their weapons and turned on the two. The rest of the group raised their weapons and constantly shifted their aim, unsure what to do.

"This is ridiculous," Fumikage stated, "stop resisting."

"I'll stop resisting when you stop trying to kidnap us for your stupid Prince!" The boy retorted. His voice sounded more feminine then masculine, the others realized.

"We have our orders," Mezo stated, "and we are inclined to follow them."

"Then I guess I won't stop resisting. Now back off, and nobody will get hurt," the 'boy' replied, as more objects started to float around them.

The girl's right hand twitched.

Everyone else began to split up. Tsu and Ochaco climbed into the tree, and Kyoka quicklu joined them. With Tsu on the lower branch, and Ochaco and Kyoka just above her.

Tsu knocked an arrow, and Ochaco quickly mumbled a spell, letting the tip of her staff touch the arrow. It began to spark, and she did the same to Kyoka.

"I don't think shooting the boy and girl would be good. At the very least, he seems to be protective of her," Kyoka stated, "and I'd rather not get rocks thrown at me."

"Attacking Tokoyami and Shoji isn't a good idea. They're both high ranked in the royal guard," Tsu responded.

"I'd rather shoot some guardsmen then a couple of innocents." Kyoka muttered. Tsu scowled.

"How about you shoot in between them," Ochaco suggested, "I made the arrows electrical, so they'll shock all of them with that."

"I'm okay with that, kero," Tsuyu responded. Kyoka just nodded.

Ochaco counted quietly to 3, and the two archers let the arrows fly.

"Let's go!" Momo yelled to her comrades, starting to run as the other three jumped down and followed. Quickly, the entire group was running.

It started to rain as they ran, and the group had no choice but to take shelter in a cave for the night.

Tensions were high that night, though very few arguments broke out.

***

Silence.

Izuku hated the silence.

Walking through the ruins of his old home, the silence did nought but remind him of all he had lost here. As they all looked around, Izuku and Katsuki could envision the destroyed buildings as they had been before the attack.

"I never thought I would step foot in such a powerful place," Shoto spoke finally. His voice was soft, and awestruck.

"Kacchan, look," Izuku pointed at a crumbling building, with a barely standing, faded sign, "That was the bakery..."

"Yeah..." Katsuki almost smiled at the memories that rushed back to him, but the feeling quickly disappeared as he caught sight of a stone, with wilted flowers next to it.

He walked over to it, and stood there silently, reading the engravings on the stone.

Here lies Mitsuki Bakugo
A mother and a soldier
May her soul rest in peace

"Kacchan?" Izuku stopped next to Katsuki. The blond hadn't realized his eyes were filling up with tears.

"What?" His voice was harsh as he quickly rubbed his eyes, wiping away the unfallen tears.

"Do you... need a minute?"

Katsuki faltered, and then nodded. Izuku smiled softly at his friend, before leaving him.

"What's up with Bakugo?" Mina asked him.

"He just needs a minute with his mom," Izuku replied, "leave him alone for now. He'll join us again when he's ready."

Shoto and Mina nodded.

"Why are we here again?" Shoto asked finally, after a few hours of the green haired boy and the blond being lost in their memories.

"So we can find a way to stop All For One," Katsuki replied. Izuku turned away, and caught site of something.

"Which would be?" Mina asked, crossing her arms.

"A prediction..." Izuku mumbled, before running off towards the visible remains of what had once been a grand castle.

"Deku!" Katsuki yelled, running after him. Shoto and Mina followed.

Izuku, determined to do this, kept running towards the castle. The doors were closed tight when he arrived, the other 3 right behind him.

"The castle..." Katsuki muttered.

"How do we get in?" Shoto questioned.

Izuku silently drew his sword. The blade had a bright golden glow as it came out of its holster, and even brighter as Izuku raised it above his head.

The doors began to glow the same colour, and then slowly began to shift open. The light from his sword continued to glow, illuminating the nearby surroundings in the dark of night.

The four walked inside, and were greeted by nought but dust and bones, and the occasional rusted weapon.

"Geez, this place is deserted," Mina muttered.

"The hell were you expecting from a ruined kingdom?" Katsuki scowled at her, "A damn welcome party?"

"No, I heard the stories. I always thought they were overexaggerated," she responded, "the kingdom didn't really fall in one night with no survivors."

"It did... aside from me, Kacchan, Mom, and Sir Yagi," Izuku replied, "We were the only survivors..."

Katsuki grunted.

The inside of the castle was grand, despite being destroyed. Izuku led them through the hallways, without explanation.

"Where are we going?" Shoto asked.

"The library," Izuku replied.

When they arrived in the library, nobody was surprised to find it destroyed.

The green haired boy stepped forward, letting his sword light the area. He looked around, and finally found it.

The right side of the room, one bookshelf remained barely intact, with one intact book on it. Izuku pulled out the book, and the shelf moved.

Izuku smiled, as the shelf moved to reveal a descending staircase.

"The hell?" Katsuki asked, confused.

Izuku started quickly down the stairs, and the others hesitated before following.

The stairs led to a bedroom, still completely intact. Izuku smiled softly.

"Thank god..."

"How..." Shoto trailed off, as Izuku entered the room, and sheathed his sword.

"What the hell is this place?" Katsuki asked.

"My bedroom!" Izuku exclaimed happily, "At least, my one in the castle... I usually stayed in my room at Mom's house."

Mina sneezed.

"Sorry, this place is really dusty..." she sighed.

"We can stay here for now," Izuku said, "and start looking in the morning."

"Looking for what exactly?" Shoto asked, as everyone sat down.

"A way to beat One For All," Katsuki replied.

"How though?" Mina frowned, "If they destroyed this place in only 12 hours, what's to say they won't do the same to us?"

"They may have destroyed us, but All For One lost almost as many as we did that night. I think they're playing it safe this time, and doing it one village at a time..." Izuku replied.

"That doesn't explain how we're going to beat them," Mina retorted.

"The reason they attacked us first is because we were the biggest threat," Katsuki explained, "Y'know, the whole kingdom of light thing?"

"The Endeavor kingdom is strong," Shoto stated.

"We never said you aren't," Izuku replied.

Mina yawned, sighing.

"Y'know what, why don't we talk about this tomorrow?" She suggested, "I'm tired, let's get some sleep."

And with the agreements of her comrades, they got comfortable, and went to sleep.
