Bonding chapter 6 (G.B.)
So after our match I went off to my room to play some video games. I walked through the house til I felt something wrong. It was some weird affect from my father to feel sadden or strife or something like that. I didn't really care what it was but I knew who it was coming from. I looked down the hall to see the black door of Uncle Mortem closed. He's mourning still. Even after all this time since Aunt Mortem left. Oh there's something I should probably explain. If you've heard about our parents well then you know that Uncle Dictate Fames was first to come into the world. Then Uncle Blight. Then my Father and finally Uncle Mortem. Well Uncle mortem is in charge don't know why since he's the youngest but that's basically how it works for us kids. Fester first, Percy next, I followed and finally Nathen. Nathen is also incharge based off of the power you could feel radiating from him somedays. I guess that's why uncle Mortem is in charge of his brothers too. I sighed and walked past my door and to Uncle Mortems knocking on it. I heard some music cut abruptly. "Yes?" I opened the door and saw my uncle looking at me with a sad expression.
"Hey. I felt stuff coming from your room so I was wondering if everything is okay." I sat poking my head in slowly to which he gave a smile. He motioned me in to which I walked in with the door closing behind me. He then pointed to a chair kindly asking for me to sit. I walked over to it and sat down on a large green chair like from one of those Southern houses in America.
"I apologize for having you feel that dear." He breathed as he stayed sitting in his chair as a large fireplace I didn't even see lit up in front of us.
"Oh it's not your fault uncle. It's just my powers." I say waving it off. "But why did you want me to come in?"
"You are a smart one." He chuckled. "Just like your Mother." We both laughed at this. "I want to tell you a story more than just apologize."
"Uh is this going to be like the talk?" I asked getting a disgusted feeling in my gut.
"No no. Nothing like that." Uncle mortem said. "It's more of a story of the past. Would you like a drink before we begin?" I shook my head no. "Alright. Now our story starts off with a young woman around August 20, 1945." As he talked I felt as if the world around the fireplace was distortion as morphing into a new scene. After the change was felt I looked around and saw that the room my Uncle and I were in had changed to a very well known concentration camp. It was filled with men, women, and children in black and white outfits being pushed all out through a gate. I looked back at Uncle Mortem and saw we were still sitting. I then saw a much younger Uncle Mortem hovered over a young woman with long black hair, white pale skin, and a boney frame. She looked so familiar but I didn't know why. Her head was facing downwards as she was on her hands trying to get up but she couldn't. I wanted to help for some reason but knew that this was just a memory so I couldn't. The German soldiers just walked past her and left her to die. Past Uncle Mortem just watched the woman. His hooded long cloak flowed. It wasn't until hours later did he reach out to the woman. As he did the woman looked up with a smile at him.
"Please kill me." She begged. Past uncle mortem pulled his hand back as I saw my father in full Armor like a black Knight walk up behind Uncle.
"Why?" Uncle asked.
"Because I can no longer bear this life of agony." She cried. "Please kill me."
"But that could risk your way to heaven." Uncle said as he kneeled down pulling his hood off.
"I don't care I just don't want to live." She cried as she laid in the ground curled up. The scene faded away to be replaced by Uncle Mortems room.
"That, my dear, was the day that we decided to stop when we realized who really made us." He said sadly.
"Who was that?" I asked looking at my uncle.
"That was Emerald Mortem. Your Aunt. Or as she was known back then Esmeralda MeRivila" Uncle mortem said as he brought put a framed black and white picture of Uncle Mortem and Aunt Emerald. I took it and saw that it was of them on there wedding day as she was cutting a cake. She had a big smile and was leaning against Uncle Mortem lovingly. I then saw a date at the bottom. 1948 August 20th.
"I can't believe I forgot." I muttered as I handed it back as I heard a heavy sigh.
"She was the most amazing woman." He said. "And I'm not surprised you forgot about her. I made sure that Nathen doesn't know her that well. I want him to learn who she was when the time is right." He said as he stood up and put the picture on a desk.
"Why are you telling me this?" I asked as he looked at me with a sad look. "What do you want me to do with this?"
"I want you to make sure that this Jess is safe." I was taken back by this request.
"What?" I asked leaning on my hand.
"He's like a small clone of me with a younger mind. I recognize those feelings he has." He put his hands behind his back. "He's falling in love and I don't want him to lose his love before it starts."
