Thanksgiving Special
The smell of chicken drifted into the air, successfully pulling you from your bed and out of your room.
You lived alone so why did it smell like chicken? Did someone break in?
Confusion settled in as you made your way down the stairs, quietly creeping towards the source of the delicious smell.
In the kitchen stood a well tanned girl with dark brown hair pulled up into a high ponytail, who pulled out a turkey with her gloved hands.
After a minute of standing their watching her work her magic she finally noticed you, letting out a joy filled squeal in the progress.
Izzabelle, one of your closest friends. She was short for her she, at least a couple inches shorter than you. She's been with you forever, she can fix up any meal in no time, but her hugs are deadly.
You were quickly pulled into a bone crushing hug by your close friend, who didn't seem to let go anytime soon.
"A'right, let 'er go." A familiar voice huffed, Izzabelle finally let go of you, which you were grateful for.
Your savior stood in front of you, crossing his arms with a stern look across his face. He was dark skinned and had shoulder length hair, which was pulled into a small ponytail.
Erin, another one of your friends. He had a heavy British accent which got all the girls swooning for him, but he was cold and didn't usually talk to others. But once you got to know him he was a nice dude.
"W-what are y'all doin' here?" You muse, straightening your posture from the sudden deadly hug. "How'd y'all even get in my house?"
"Did you forge' wha' day it is?" Eric raised an eyebrow, shrugging off your questions. Although his lip twitched upwards in slight amusement.
"Uh.. was I supposed to remember?" You blink, confused at what today was. Was it your birthday? Was it one of theirs?
Eric sighed and placed his hand on top of your head, proving it easier due to him being taller. "Honestly, with 'he turkey, I though' you would 'ave figured it ou' by now."
This just confused you further, but you were quickly snapped out of your thoughts as a the world went dark, successfully drawing a squeal of fright from you.
Laughter filled the air at you response, making your cheeks flush red in embarrassment. "What's wrong, Doll?"
Ah, Shawn, the school flirt. He managed to make his way into your circle of friends, and your still not sure how he did it.
Bright light seeped into your line of vision making you squint at the sudden brightness, after a couple of seconds your eyes adjusted letting you see correctly.
Pale arms draped around your shoulders, making you push them off with a huff of disapproval. "Really Shawn?"
The blonde only laughed when you are at him, making your ears sting as the blush grew.
"Did you forget? It's Thanksgiving!" Another voice piped up, a tall redheaded girl appeared at your side.
Avery, the sporty one of the group, she would often noogie you for no reason, which caused you to grow weary around her. She was tall, which was your downfall. But other than that she was another one of your best friends.
At her words everything clicked. You blink, suddenly feeling dumb. "Ah, well, Happy Thanksgiving then!" Your bright caused a domino effect, and soon everyone was enjoying themselves at the dinner table.
Happy Thanksgiving!
